Hi all, I'm a little on my nerves here. I have a medium-up class (not State-of-the-Art but good enough) computer, it never crashes with any other plane I fly with, but the f-15E is making my dcs crash more than often. Since I noticed it usually happens when I'm using ground radar scanning, I decided to make a mission only with GBUs, in order to not need to use it. It still crashes everyday. I saved some logs and I send you the last one as well. Can anyone tell me what is wrong with it? Thank you in advance. dcs.log dcs.log.old dcs.log

will do. Thank you!

I experienced exactly the same issue yesterday. Only (though it's a low flying mission) happened to me at the very end when I was approaching to land at about 4k feet. I closed everything and tried everything in my computer with no effect, until suddenly I stopped the radar and immediately the problem was solved. And I had three following crashes related with the use of ground radar, but I don't know how to present that information, because the log talks about a dll file going worng. Can you advice me how to present that problem?

That was it. Thanks, man!!

Really??!! *Running to change the weapons* Man, a light of hope! I'll confirm it works in short.

Hi all. I'm finishing a new mission for the F-15E and I have a stupid problem. Mission is too difficult for the wingman, so I basically want him to engage some of the air defences meanwhile the player does the heavy work. Payload is different for both planes, which shouldn't be a problem, since this is something I usually do in my missions. Player's payload are gbu's-31, but they have to be assigned from radar/tgp, hence the impossibility for the AI. Wingman's payload are gbu-12s and 24. So I defined task as CAS and my wingman has a command to search and destroy for enemy air defenses. Here is the problem: it actually does it, but it never (NEVER) uses its payload, but attack them with the gun, so, of course he is always fastly took down. Every single time. I tried ordering "engage mission and rejoin" when approaching target, and I also tried "engage air defenses". In both cases the result is the same: it tries to strafe them, although there is no such order anywhere in the script. What am I doing wrong? It never happens to me in any mission with other modules, so I don't know if this is an F-15E problem, though I doubt it. Do you have any idea of how to solve this? Much obligated.

Hmmm, reinstalling seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks to all. I don't know what happened, but it seems to be working fine now.

I said I almost never had to trim except when having assymetric payloads and so. My AP doesn't work right, hence this post. I appreciate the recommendations, but I'm saying it happened in different (consecutive) missions, and even when I started an instant mission in free flight, The fact that AP seems to work exactly the same for everybody else is why I think my module has become corrupted. I will start with repairing DCS, check on the modules, and reinstall it and see if the problem persists. Maybe something went wrong with the last update. Thanks to all.

Not in different missions. I closed DCS, started up again, tried on a free flight instant action and same problem. I think I will have to uninstall the module, since it seems it's only happening to me.

Hello all. I abandoned the Viper for a couple of months, since I've been learning how to fly the F-15E. Today I decided to give it a go again and I noticed a lot of changes in the way it flies. Before I almost never had to trim it a lot (except when carrying assymetric payloads or when releasing bombs from one station and so), and now I had to trim it constantly. Moreover, what worried me most is that the autopilot didn't seem to work fine. Placing the left switch to steerpoing and the right to mantain altitude, neither did it follow the steerpoint, nor it mantained altitude or attitude. I tried in different missions and it seems it's just not working. So I am wondering: maybe something changed and I didn't notice? I have been trying to find any topics about it and I couldn't so, maybe it's just happening to me? Thanks in advance

& That was exactly it. Thank you, guys!!

I'm going to try it. Thanks!

Yes to all. Remember I can communicate with the rest of the ships. Oh, I forgot to tell you all. I CAN hear him! He tells me he is rolling, wheeling up, reconnecting... he just doesn't reply. In different missions!

Hi all. Been learning how to fly the f-15E for a short time, always in solo missions... until today, and I simply cannot communicate with my wingman (AI). Radios are on, everything works fine, I communicate with the ATC, AWACS, TANKER, basically with everybody except my wingman. Of course, I am in the right frequency, but I tried it all. I started to think it was a problem with the mission so: I changed the radio frequency of the group --> FAIL I deleted the wingman and added a new one --> FAIL I edited the advanced waypoints and deleted the "response to radio" NONE. --> FAIL I changed the plane for another module, communication with my wingman was ok. Changed it back to an F-15E -->FAIL I created another mission (the one I was playing was not mine) --> FAIL (I couldn't communicate either) Chacked on the manual, watched every video, searched everywhere --> FAIL (no one seems to have the same problem) So, I don't know what else to do. So am I stupid? Am I doing something wrong? All the other AI's are answering me, it only happens with the F-15E, and it's not a mission bug. Can any of you help me? Thanks in advance.

ok, that makes sense. Still, should I put it in direct, auto? If I choose rpl sngl, and the 7 of them are in the same program, could I release them pressing 7 times? Thanks.

Hi all, I am trying to sink a ship throwing at her multiple jdams. The bombs are configured with the data, no problem, but I cannot release all my bombs in just one pass. I'm flying with 7 GBU-31 on stations 2, left cft (2), 5, right cft (2) and 8. I would like to put them all (since they are the same type of bomb) in the same program and make a ripple until the 7 are released, but I cannot achieve it. 99% of the times it just releases 1 bomb. I tried different configurations, but it seems I'm unable. Once I managed to drop the 4 in the cfts afer 4 presses of the release button, but never in a long press, and in the next try I used the same configuration and it didn't work. There are many videos about dropping different bombs to different objectives, but none of dropping many bombs to a single one. Can any of you help me? I'm getting a little despaired in here... Thanks in advance!!

I disabled and re-enabled the module and it seems it is working now. Thanks for your help!

Wise advice. Yes, I am sure there is a conflict somewhere, so I'll do what you say. Thanks, man.

It doesn't matter, I've used all of them in both the MPD and the MPCD and I never get to put them SOI. The right MPD circles between the pages, the MPCD most of the times not even that. The left MPD always works. I thought It might be a problem of my HOTAS, but I mapped them to differen buttons and it's the same...

Hi all, I'm learning to fly the F-15E and I cannot make right MPD and the MCPD SOI. I can do it with the HUD and the left MPD, though. It doesn't matter if I'm in A/A, A/G or NAV, the result is always the same. It only works the short touch for changing the displays, but cannot make them SOI. I mapped it in a different joystick in my HOTAS (logitech X-52 pro) and does the same thing. I've read the manual and watched different videos and I can't figure out what's the problem. Has any of you the same problem or know if I'm doing something wrong? Thanks in advance!!

I hadn't seen it! Thank you, man.

Hi all. First time I open my DCS after Dec 19th's patch and my datalink is not working at all, in different missions, some of them I played a million times with datalink always working perfectly. I checked the changelog to see if there are changes in the datalink or something, but I couldn't fin anything about it. Is anyone else having this problem?

Yes, Grimes (thanks for the reply), I thought so, but actually it does more than enough, because at the beginning it was trying to (an succeeding) in landing on a much shorter airport. When the plane doesn't have room, it just doesn't go there. This one does and land, but before stopping (with much of the runway ahead), simply stops. I'll try and prepare an example, because this is at the end of a long and complex mission, but I'm sure if I try it in a new one it will simply work...

Hello all. Two planes are escorting a landing cargo (AI). It's a nightmare to make it right because the advanced waypoint action "escort" only allows to the fighters (also AI) escort a plane until its last waypoint, and that doesn't include the landing incoming maneuvers, so the cargo looks like it's going to land, but makes a loop before doing it and the escort just live it alone by itself. So I decided to make them orbit around the airport in the next waypoint for a while before landing in the carrier. Here's what happens: 1.- They don't go to the following waypoint, they don't orbit, they suddenly disappear from the map, like if the AI was suddenly off. 2.- The cargo lands, but in the moment it lands, before actually stopping completely, disappears from view and clicks a trigger I made to end the mission if the cargo was destroyed (that's what it was about: protecting the cargo). I made a trigger area, and made that in the moment the cargo was over that trigger area below a certain altitude, the previous "end the mission" trigger was disabled. It just doesn't do it. The whole mission stops because the landing cargo appears as "dead". At the briefing room after the mission it says the cargo's AI stopped. I never saw a plane dissapearing the moment they touch land in DCS before. So why does the AI turns off? Both in the cargo and in the fighters? Any ideas? Thanks in advance. (update, I saw the fighters didn't go to the next waypoint; they continued descending, meanwhile the cargo was turning around, way past the airfield, without lowering their landing gears, until they crashed in land several miles ahead) 0_0 =_= 0_0

Fair enough. Thanks to all for your explanations!
