This is specific to multiplayer multicrew (2 humans). It does not happen in single player, or multiplayer single human. This also relates to an IAT and LMC drifting with CPG, and PLT to CPG (watching the CPG's screen from the VID screen). I suspect this is how the syncing is handled between the two seats and causing some amount of mismatch and delay between the two seats. you can refer to these two posts of the issue (one reported as fixed, which it is not, the other reported as reported):

As of current patch: Hotfix 2.9.15.9509 The TSD point share function (TSD -> Point -> XMIT -> SEND) is not sending despite having set up DL members within the net, and able to send other forms of DL messages and information via TEAM and PRI. Examples of working sends: Message (free text), FARM, PP, BAM. Steps to reproduce Hop into an AH64D Have a friend hop into a seperate AH64D (optional, maybe?) Start up the APU and allow the alignment process to complete (Not sure if alignment is required aside from point accuracy, but its not working in either case) Set up a preset with appropriate Datalink members, set them as TEAM and PRI Create a point Attempt to transmit point via XMIT to PRI member At step 6, I am noticing that the SEND is not even highlighting white as you usually see when sending data (it works in other DL subpages, so the MPD button is working). In current patch 2.9.15.9408, George will not slave to PLT LOS or TADS SEARCH in cold-start aircraft. He will search and target list in a hot start aircraft. Steps to reproduce: 1. Select a cold-start AH64D 2. Start up as normal 3. allow TADS to become enabled by george (ACQ TADS will be green, or TADS will display in VID) 4. Using george AI controls, attempt to have George slave to PLT LOS or TADS SEARCH 5. Cry (optional) Note: The "deslave" option comes up, and is able to be pressed. George responds with "roger de-slaving" even though the TADS has never moved. Track File attached. AH64D_Geroge_AI_No_Search.trk

Im am not expecting any quick resolution to this issue, I am however starting the discussion quickly as a means to get user feedback and alert the dev team. In my experience, the instant-action mission (which the track file uses) as far as I know uses no fog at all. And the Multiplayer Server I discovered the issue was on Greyflag Sinai, which uses fog. Greyflag dynamically uses the fog to ramp down at mission start, then ramps back up during mission end (over the period of 15 hours) Along with everyone else's amazing input, I hope this can give the team enough information to determine the cause and help adjust the tuning! Thank you and the rest of the team for this amazing module!

All Text outside of the wheel are "Long Press Commands" So to do a TADS LOS SEARCH you long-press George AI Helper DOWN (Default key: S). Same with other 3 directions.

He did not work in the Caucasus SP instant mission "Live fire range" for me. I haven't systematically gone and tested every mission or anything, but its consistent enough to be an issue with multiple users seeing the same.

DCS 2.9.11.4686 While doing a PHS search or a TSD LOS search, George cannot spot targets/Display a target list, regardless of distance (used to be about 10km and closer). This is in both Single player and Multiplayer. Steps to reproduce: Hop into an apache as a back-seat Take-off with optional weapons Activate George helper AI Command George to slave to PHS Command George to slave TSD LOS Attached is a track file demonstrating the above. When slewing to the right with the TADS as a CPG, the TEDAC camera seems to be clipping into itself while in WIDE FOV (the camera slews faster than the model maybe?). This is happening when slewing at max speed (as far as the MANTRK controller goes), slewing slower will not show this issue. Additionally, when using IAT, the same clipping can happen when the gimbal beghins to slew to the right and the screen goes grey. Slaving the camera to a ACQ seems to "jink" the camera out and resume normal operation.

I can confirm that even not in multicrew, the DL will still not work from a cold start. I have held multiple lessons with people (we each have our own apache) and it consistently has not worked to try and practically demo the DL. That said, over time, at some point, the data link will just "Turn on" and suddenly work. I do not know how as its different every time I teach someone. One time it kicked on after someone switched to the UHF and configured it. One time it kicked on after someone equipped an FCR. It's very inconsistent and Im eager to see if there is a consistent workaround.

While I am not the best pilot in the world, I've noticed that when performing a Vuichard Recovery the apache still sinks in VRS and is unable to recover. To recap, the Vuichard Recovery is a maneuver that when you enter into a VRS state, you pitch to the right 10-20 degrees, increase collective, add left pedal, until you are upwind of the vortex and recover (for CW rotor systems, cyclic and pedal inputs are opposite). When executed properly this will allow you to recover with minimal loss in altitude. However what I am seeing in the apache is that the sink rate is still increasing despite: Increasing airspeed to above ETL within the side-slip Side slipping dozens of feet out of the VRS "location" Additionally, I have noticed that in order to get into the VRS state, the conditions have changed (unknown at which point they did). It used to be Below ETL and -500FPM. Now it's below ETL and -1000FPM. This is also causing the "traditional method" (nose down and gain speed) to require much higher airspeeds before a recovery is possible. I had a friend of mine test the same recovery in several other aircraft, namely the Huey, Kiowa, Gazelle, and each aircraft was able to perform the maneuver and recover as expected. As the CPG, the TEDAC ACQ Symbology (dashed crosshair) is offset from the center when previously it is centered when slaved and tracking. Patch: Open Beta 2.9.2.49629 Steps to Reproduce: 1] Be in the CPG seat 2] Set ACQ to a waypoint or other ACQ source 3] Slave the TADS to the ACQ Attached are two pictures showing the ACQ source being more or less correct in the HMD symbology, Video Page Symbology, but the TEDAC video symbology is off. -

I'm no wizard, but I don't think anything in the options.lua would affect weapons jittering. unless DCS VOIP really is that terrible of a feature. to clarify the images. LEFT is NEW; RIGHT is OLD null -
