Silent's gear pretending that it's down. He found out otherwise when he tried to land.

ICQ To all those interested in keeping tabs on the server status, please d/l Steam and add me. My ID is Invisibull. Regards, Bull

Hey Zeke, Glad you enjoyed yourself. It's only going to get better my friend. That terrain (by Barthek) can be found here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2283313&postcount=209 I can't recommend it enough. Regards, Bull

Sorties 1/11/15 The 39th Squadron had 3 sorties in support of Operation Broken Axle this evening. In the first two we had a full 3 flights up (12 ships) and all was stable. All sorties were CAPs. SilentGun bagged a MiG 15 in the first sortie and I got one in the second. We made no contact with the enemy during the 3rd sortie. If you're interested in joining in on the fun, see the first post in this thread. Mustang pilots for tank hunting missions are needed. SilentGun, my number 2, right after he bagged a MiG and we were RTB. Spring terrain compliments of Barthek. Of note is the fact that during the 3rd sortie, Green Flight was able to reach 49,040 feet as it patrolled 30 miles north of Sochi. Apparently, this has been modeled very well by Belsimtek. From Wiki:

Great shots, Silent. Thanks!

Thanks very much, they're fixed now.

Please direct your attention to the original post in this thread for updated server information. Regards, Bull

All: If you add me to Steam (Steam name =Invisibull), you'll be able to see when I've got my server up. I don't believe you even need to have any games installed via Steam to do so. It will also allow for easier communication in the future. Regards, Bull

I have indeed. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/270020/ Notice the uploader. :) The problem w labels is that w/o resorting to integrity checks, people can use all kinds of derivatives of the various label mods with some just outright silly imo. I'm going to keep labels off for the foreseeable future. I'm hoping EDGE will bring us some spotting relief soon.

As I strive for some modicum of realism on my server, I'd appreciate if you all could d/l and install the following two mods at some point: WWII German Ground Units - http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/de/files/1200742/ M4 Sherman - http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1193839/?sphrase_id=928194 If you're not already using JGSME to install you mods, I can't stress enough how easy and organized it makes the entire process. You can go here to learn more about it - http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=98607&highlight=jgsme If you need any help, just let me know and I'd be glad to walk you through it on TS. Regards, Bull

You and Rob are more than welcome, Charly.

You're most welcome, Zeke. Was great having you. Here's that recommendation i had for you: Sabres Over MiG Alley: The F-86 and the Battle for Air Superiority in Korea - Kenneth P. Werrell I thoroughly enjoyed it and hope you do as well.

Glad you enjoyed it. Had a very nice session this evening. Silent has got to be the most dead on formation flyer i've ever seen. Case in point attached:

You all are welcome to come to my TS server whenever you like. Even for just a wee chat (gort). 24.168.90.244 pw: dcs

Hi Gort, Now O' Clock. :) It varies from day to day. Message me your email and I'll put you in the loop.

Zeke, if you go to the Controls section, make sure "all" is in the drop down, you need only hit the key combos to have it find and highlight the associated function. For instance, if you hit ctrl+c, you will see the canopy open/close key highlighted. The same for the others i gave you above. If you come on my TS i'll walk you through it in no time - 24.168.90.244 pw: dcs

Shadoh, you are correct. I was looking at the wrong axis. I do indeed have my brakes inverted. As far as a parking brake, i'm not aware of one, so it shouldn't be an issue.
-
Zeke: Canopy open/ close is ctrl+c. The guns/missile/bomb switch is Lalt+d for counterclockwise and Lctrl+d for clockwise. The on/off for guns/missile is called gun missile selector switch, though i don't know what the keyboard command is as i have it mapped and nothing shows in the keyboard section for it. Also, I don't have my Saitek pedals inverted. Hope this helps, Bull

39th Squadron, 51st VFW Hi All, Anyone who loves the Sabre and wants to fly along with like-minded folk, add me on Steam (Invisibull) (If you don't have it, please consider getting it as it's an invaluable tool for communicating the server status in real time.) I have a server up most days, and am very interested in getting a small group together to practice formation flying and combat tactics including dog-fighting. I think it's going to be a blast once the MiG 15 shows up, especially if we can put a cohesive, well trained unit up against them. Please go here for the latest server info. Regards, Bull

I personally find the rudder invaluable for kicking over the top of a loop at slightly over stall speed.

hiya Shahdoh, ltns. This is why I JGSME every single change i make to anything. Makes it so much easier to isolate the offending modification, and to deal with DCS updates as well. YT, i suggest maybe you try this approach and save yourself a bit of head scratching. Take a look at your network.cfg file found here: C:\Users\Yourname\Saved Games\DCS\Config Notice this bit: That's what is checked for everyone by default. So, if you've modified anything concerned with that file, you know you'll have a problem. When you consider that people add other files to be checked it turns into a real problem trying to figure out what's going on without them telling you. YT, If you don't know what I mean by JSGME'ing every change, I'd be glad to elaborate. Regards, Bull
