  1. No, the bug is still present. You can "fix it" with the very elegant method of placing a piece of tape over the proximity sensor.
  2. I don’t care about the legal shenanigans between ED and RazBam. What concerns me is the idea that any of my beloved modules — which I paid for — could stop working at any moment. If that’s the case, I won’t be buying anything else. Thanks for your passion & support.
  3. Well, if it's BVR what you're after, go with the king, Tomcat + Phoenix combination. Con: you're not doing much radar wise, it's all down on Jester. Mirage F1 doesn't have a very capable radar so your experience will be limited. It has a very good SARH missile tho (the smaller one, can't remember the name). The FC MiG-29 is BVR capable but its systems are extremely simplified, like all FC planes. But it has a very interesting selection of R-27 variants.
  4. Still works. I use it every day. Can't live without turbo mode.
  5. Just last night my AI wingman crashed into me while I was lining up for landing. In the same sortie, two C-130 decided to block each other at the end of the runway, effectively ruining the entire mission. Does this count as a complaint? Or do I need to fill a form?
  6. Prior to the MT version there was an important advantage using a second PC to host the mission you were playing on your main computer. Nowadays not so much - provided your PC has plenty of headroom for DCS and background tasks.
  7. Dumb me didn't read the title. Anyway, as despicable as Nvidia is, their GPUs just work better in VR compared to AMD. A while ago, there was a severe stuttering issue with AMD cards in VR, it was eventually resolved, but performance still isn't quite there. Another issue is DCS itself. With certain unit quantities and combinations, the engine will choke regardless of the hardware you're running, especially bad with MRLS or artillery in large numbers.
  8. If you're playing in VR using the 2080ti by your signature, then no, that GPU is barely capable, so no matter what CPU you use or how much ram you throw at it, that old graphics card is severely holding you back.
  9. I use ChatGPT for creating missions, but not scripts or ME. It writes briefings and mission descriptions for me. With english not being my mother tongue, sometimes I struggle to find words to describe my idea. ChatGPT helps wonderfully at that. Asking it to code a mission or to write a script is unrealistic today.
  10. Set a dogfight between an Ace AI MiG-21 and something else with you as an observer and watch the thing pull 9G sustained turns without losing speed. Then come and tell us it's all fine because your data, equations and parameters say so. The math is pretty interesting but it seems you don't play the game.
  11. Unpopular opinion: try cable connection. Best image quality and the battery doesn't die in a couple of hours.
  12. Kinda like the Corsair. Would you call that a waste of time too?
  13. This. In three years I only had weird connection problems twice: when the cable was about to die.
  14. Are you using godlike resolution in VD? I don't know if there's another sharpness setting or something similar in VD to get a clearer image? Check inside DCS if resolution of cockpit displays is set to max (1024). Check if DLSS is activated. It provides a slightly blurrier image so you don't want that on. I use a Quest 3 like you, with cable Link the Viper MFDs are small but readable, so it's definitely capable of showing a clear image. There are way better headsets, but those come at a higher price tag, plus you need a top of the line PC to drive all those pixels.
  15. For VR the hardware requirements are (at least) 2X or 3X compared to 2D, depending on a lot of factors. On top of that, DCS itself is very inefficient when it comes down to VR, something that should start to improve when Vulkan comes. I hope I'm still alive by then (I'm 45).
