Thanks Again Flappie : That did the Trick = (fixed) You taught an old Dog a new Trick .. it was pretty easy , i copied your fix to a note pad in case i need it again .. Don't want to reinstall Caucasus , saving the space in case they " EVER " Release WWII Marianas and other WWII Birds .. then i would also delete Modern Marianas if its not needed to run the WWII version .. DCS is such a GB Hog , gotta trim what is not used , fill up the SSD too much and it will slow down Im told ? , now if they ever remake Caucasus to WWII ? then it will be reinstalled .. this fix was easy enough , Not going to ask for a refund ( for the Campaign BNBOB )...but they should update the buy page stating you need Caucasus map ).. Now I wonder if other Modules have the same mis information ... Not even gonna mention what happened with the release of those other maps with the Crap low level res . Oops I did , didn't I ... Thank You Flappie : I will give that a try later in the day when i have some time .. ED /DCS should have listed Caucasus was required , if so i would have passed and saved the Aggravation ... I do have the Channel map + Normandy 2.0 + Marianas and Syria .. If your trick works that will be all Good ... but if every time DCS updates it changes everything back ?? I will be wanting a refund ... hopefully they can make some type of fix / patch for this in next update ? but thanks again for the Info .. Much Appreciated ..

So I just bought the P-51 Blue Nose Bastards Campaign , and it will not start . ( says missing module Caucasus ) ??? but campaign says Normandy 44 or 2.0 is required ?? I uninstalled Caucasus map to save space a long time ago and have no intention of reinstalling it as i don't use it , tried the slow DCS repair = No Joy == uninstalled Campaign and reinstalled = No Joy .. Help Please

if you mean bomb bay door ( bindings ) ? they are under controls tab ( Hydraulic systems ) ( bomb doors lever - down ) and ( bomb doors lever up ) the doors themselves are on the belly just behind the 20 mm cannon bay . I only mentioned the latter as you just asked ( bomb doors , where are they BTW )

during install of DCS 2.9.10.3948 got the blue screen of death saying machine has encountered a problem and shuts down and restarts . happens during the download ( unpacking ) part of download . tried 4 times = same result ?? == hot fix please . will run the pre updated vers just fine , just cant download DCS 2.9.10.3948 ================ edit == info if others had same issue ... i just did the DCS repair (slow) and it seems to be downloading OK now -- will wait and see ? edit == Success , all is well

Unless i misunderstood you : my HOTAS / KEYBOARD bindings have never been corrupted by their updates , but i am using VIRPIL equipment .. works every time .. but as a backup just in case, i save a copy of the config/ bindings folder to my desktop in case of a corruption then just copy and paste the backup back into the main DCS folders = that should bring them all back ? this references SP not MP ..

No long channel crossings, shorter flights giving more time for targeted missions and RTB and onto the next mission .. I recall you once said someone else ( ?????? ) is Doing a remake of " Hell Hawks " for DCS , any new info on that Project ? Inquiring Minds want to Know .. Thanks for your Work ..

OK : not a complaint here : I am just wondering how your investment formula works for flight hours ? do i get to subtract the hours of frustration trying to make the enemy ground units . AA/ FLAK work again after a DCS update made them inoperative. after the weeks / months of building SP missions ?? also other issues going on after updates ..? like i said DCS is the best when it works ! and i know all about the other WWII sims . been there done that starting way back when = good but . I prefer DCS clickable Cockpits / Visuals / Dynamics and such ... So ' so far i hang on . also in my investment formula = promise of new WWII content . that after like a 8 months or so not a hint or any info of any progress, just the same old " when we have something to share we will " " its a smaller team " OK : I get that . but for Christs Sake ! there has to have been some progress made that can be shared ?????? ======= don't you think ?? so i would have left this alone . ==== But you had to go and tell me how to Think .. your way is not everybody's way .. just saying .

Not DCS sys restore == Microsoft sys restore point ..

That CPU speed ( 1.47 Ghz )looks way to Slow for getting any smooth DCS play .. even DCS says this == Minimum system requirements (LOW graphics settings): OS 64-bit Windows 10; DirectX11; CPU: Intel or AMD 3.0Ghz+

This might help you decide your computer build == my specs for mid range computer == I use the 4 previous mentioned maps for WWII war birds .. ....... Ever since MT was introduced my rig has been butter smooth in my SP built missions and in paid DCS war-bird campaigns .. before MT, campaigns were terrible FPS and lock ups .. == I have NO Mods at all and No VR == I lock frame rates at 60 fps now .. SPECS == if this helps at all ? ==Corsair one I-145 computer Liquid cooled . Win 10 home with HDR set to ON/ ASUS monitor 2560 x 1440 res/ Intel I7-9700k @ 4.7GHZ / Rtx 2080 super / 64 GB ram DDR4 @ 2667 MHz / MB microstar Z3701 .. and yes it will bounce between CPU and GPU bound , but all ways butter smooth .. and just about all DCS settings are MAXED OUT for the best Visuals .. Stick and Throttles and such are ( VIRPIL ) = their products are Great , cost a bit $$ but worth it i think ..just in case you were wondering ?
