  1. Thanks Browny. That did the job. I increased deadzone from 3 to 5 for both axes. I had this prob before i remembered btw. Then changing deadzone from 0 to 3 was enough. Now change to 5 was necessary. Quite odd. But its working! Regards!
  2. Hi am not able to record things. But is as simple as taking off, pushing BALT and then there is 1) no dash appearing 2) plane does get locked but under wrong angle of attack.
  3. HI, Since i restarted with F18 the BALT is not working. I push just it in flight, which normally would have lead to AP activation ( i think). I dont see the dash though beside it. Somehow the plane makes the AP noise and then it feels 'stuck' like AP suppose to feel. So something happens. The plane then goes in a light glideslope downwards about 3 degrees en keeps that angle, as if the AP is wrongly set (not on horizon). Just wonder what might be the problem. It was always straightforward so i am thinking of a bug. Anyone? Tia! Btw i use Open Beta version.
  4. Is there a VR mode planned for this BTW? It is not working Virtual Desktop with my VR setup.
  5. Hi, I tried installing it but when i try start the application it says: Application requires Java Runtime environment 11. Is this known? Do i really need to get JAVA stuff for it to work (hear no one about it). Regards!

  7. Hi, After a while i restarted flying the F18. A new computer etc. Now one thing that is not working as it used to work is the AP - BALT. I simply push AP then BALT. As i remember this would do the job in the F18. Am i missing something? I can see the word 'autopilot' in the left screen, but no vertical stripe (of activation) is seen left of BALT and the plane slowly falls down, so it is not working properly. Maybe i forgot about some switch after some months... Tia for any pointers. Regards, Michel
  8. Thanks. With some kitchen tool I could open it I was surprised how small the A10 stick is compared to F18. Can't even place my whole hand on it. Need to change that back.
  9. Hi, I bought a 2nd hand flight stick (warthog). I was wondering if I can remove this stick to change it for F18 e.g.. I had the loose magnetic base before which obviously can be switched. But this one I now have feels quite locked so before I over push things I thought I check it out here before. I was thinking that maybe the standard version is not disconnectable. Tia!

  11. I fly the F18 for some time now. One thing that goes wrong more often than not, is the GPS alignment. Both in mulitplayer as in campaigns. I follow the start up procedure that is basically: battery on, APU on, Starting engines, then GND or CVN alignment, HSI- STD HDG-. Than finger crossed it goes well an it ends with verdict "Qual OK" and i switch to IFA mode. But it frequently happens that it is aligning and before it ends in a OK it says No ATT. Then i just put in IFA (i noticed that since 2.8 it then is able to start aligning in air, which saves the day then for me). I was wondering if this is a known issue, or is a fix i can do when i get message NO ATT? It can be a pain in the ass to fly without AP functions during a CAS mission especially, although it is good for flying skills i'll admit that .

  13. Flew mission 8 and nothing happened the whole mission. Just before landing the wingman contacted me to 'get started'. Now i wonder what should trigger him to join in the beginning and not when im almost out of fuel and about to get a beer on base. Do i NEED to pass waypoint 1 to trigger him? Rapcon sends me on course of 085 just after take-off so i passed waypoint 1 and went straight to waypoint 2 after handoff. Or do i need to get close to the wingman to let him join? Tia.
  14. Thanks Buzz. Thats it! Thanks for the help. I prefer it that way above pre planned btw, so i can check with FLIR what i am blowing up before release. Getting wiser everyday.
  15. 1) I see that the target building in mission 5 has a different coördinate when i select it with FLIR then in mission briefing. The strange thing it says 35 degrees 56 minutes 98 seconds North and 39 degrees 02 minutes 00 seconds. I dont think it is possible that minutes and seconds can be higher than 60. (you also notice this when enter a coordinate in the map in mission editor / it does not accept it). So my conclusion is there is something strange going on (at least) Syria map when playing (not in map editor itself). 2) When i enter the mission-coordinate from briefing in the Datapage via HSI i get a different area when i look on FLIR via WPDSG (not the building next to mosque, but some rural field). I would think this also is the case in other missions like 6 and i just did 7 (and noticed that the coordinate was not exactly on the bunker target). Maybe its part of my Beta version but it aint right here. PS. i would say that PP would need to give same target as using some coordinates from WPDSG, or not? Unfortunetaly i cant place pictures easily for some illustrations here. Regards.
  16. I am flying this campaign atm and discovered coordinates are NOT correct INGAME (they are right on Syria map though). Mission 5 i missed the GPS (!) bomb. In mission 6 same stuff. They cannot miss basically. I found out in a test setup on mission 5 location that the coordinate of mission 5 was way in the field south of Raqqa. And i noticed that the real target has a unpossible coordinate consisting of "98(?) seconds . Seconds can only be up to 60. So in other words, the coordinate grid is wrong ingame for some reason. It does seems to be right when i look up briefing coordinate on the map. This (program?) error must be the cause that all mission fail that us GPS coordinates imo. Wanted to place this bug in the bug section but it seems its locked for new bugs??
