  1. @Biggus Here’s some from the D. Little hard to see the remainder of the text but the black strap is immovable.
  2. Why are these forums more hostile than a CoD lobby
  3. F-4 Phantom II, II for 2 weeks
  4. This has nothing to do with the conversation And this is an assumption. Do they have the capability, probably, will they? Who knows, strange/little known/different configurations are a coin toss, just be happy we’re getting a Phantom.
  5. Just a heads up, the flaps position switch is a 3-pos switch with it being up-half-down. The red light surrounded by yellow and black caution walls is the ejection light, it’s a button that the pilot presses to alert the WSO that they’re going to eject.
  6. Ladies and gentlemen, because of discussion on this forum I feel like this could be helpful, I present to you, The NATOPS flight manual for the F-4J Phantom II: https://www.f4phantom.com/docs/NATOPS_F4J_manual.pdf
  7. It would be cool to see it implemented and be optional. No use fighting over whether or not it should be in there.
  8. You should ask @Diesel_Thunder for some.
  9. Opening this thread in a rush, but here we go. If you have any stories or any general comments about the phantom you can put it here.
  10. I was using that as an anecdote to hint at his attitude towards a non-simulation play style. He liked to say things that insult common things about the community as well as several incorrect facts. Anyways, moving to PMs
  11. I understand that, but there’s no reason to be rude. I’ve been simply correcting them but they seem to reject any attempts at peaceful communication.
  12. Sim, and then act that way please. Experience Is no substitute for manners.
  13. Simulation, it’s DCS not DCG, if you don’t like it then you can go play pvp with an fc3 module. As it stands your level of maturity and tact when dealing with others in this forum is lackluster. I would suggest keeping in mind that others fly in this sim for reasons might not interest you, but for the rules of this forum you must respect them.
  14. The tomcat does not require more skill to fly, it requires more skill to fly well. It’s nothing to scoff at.
  15. I recommend only printing out the important things such as checklists and charts, a lot of it in there is for familiarization and safety. Edit: Grammar
  16. I'm 18 and work on a Phantom for Christmas sake, The amount of other young people I have seen that love the phantom is astounding. The Phanatic culture is most definitely still alive. I'm a feature there
  17. No Problemo
  18. The Kurnass was a worthwhile airplane. And it be interesting to have some non-NATO aircraft. Plus, the AGM-142
  19. Here to help with more docs. Here are the USAF regulations on markings for F-4's. Hopefully it helps with repaint creation. Part1.pdf (f4phantom.com) Part2.pdf (f4phantom.com) Part3.pdf (f4phantom.com)
  20. Again I must say, this is for the general characteristics of the B/C/D/E not specific to the hard wing/soft wing, the main difference in those being stall speed in landing configuration, which is not discussed in that document as that speed varies from model to model. If you are looking for information on the E specifically then I would suggest looking at T-O-1F-4E-1 which I have posted in this forum.
  21. Because Heatblur released information that the major systems are almost complete. Heatblur just keeps it all under wraps until it’s ready for public reveal
  22. For all interested this covers the general characteristics of the B/C/D/E models of the phantom, for more information on the slats, you should check out my post of the flight manual, which is the E model. The first model to have slats.
  23. Maybe, maybe not, I think it just depends on who is playing DCS, and if they have a specific focus in mind.
