Niiice one! Are you sharing the 3D design here for your modified switch?

What's the procedure for a crosswind landing?

So, where is the drift cutoff in the cockpit? -
Hi all, despite the many HID devices people have made over the years, I still haven’t figured out how to make my own HID device. I want to make a HID devices comprising 3 potentiometers (one limited to 90 degrees), 2 rotary encoders (basic ones without pcb, soo only pins A, B and ground), and one (on)-off-(on) switch. the switch and encoders need to have debounce. The encoders need to only do a single click output (one will be used for baro set, and thus I want one click to reflect a 0.01Hg value and not jump a random number of Hg values). Can anyone help me with this? i tried a sketch with help from DeepSeek, but that didn’t work and in fact crashes my pc in that it stops recognising any Arduinos. don’t really want to go through a masters degree in c++ to get there though, so if someone can help me get there, that’s be great! Note, I tried dcs bios route, but bort code doesn’t allow for accurate rotary encoder use as the baro set jumps several positions with one click. I also tried plain code for rotary encoders which works very well, but I can only do serial prints in IDE with it. I have no idea how to connect it to dcs bios.

Does anyone own a Komodo TEDAC?

That looks awesome! Do you have a fresh discord link? -
Maybe a little late to the game soo to speak, but I managed to shoot down a fair chunk of bombers. Of course I engage after they launch their missiles, but I never get any dialogue after the engagement starts. Maybe we managed to hit the 10 or soo on their way to Andersson, but since they always launched their missiles before engaging, I wonder how/when/where to get dialogue after the engagement starts.

Technically the triple e is incorrect. It should be “e-e-e-w-t-c”. The triple e stands for “eject eject eject! Watch the canopy!”, hence the wtc is missing… as for single controls, real aircraft also only have one control for election.

F-16 Speed Brake Indicator with OLED

hi, Did you ever update this to include the animation? -
I got some questions about the Simgears ICP and the company. On the ICP, how well does it hold up compared to eg winwing or private sellers’ constructions? Also, how accurate dimensions is it? It would be a perfect fit for my HUD housing, but with very little (read: no) play room. I also noticed they charge VAT for buyers outside the U.K.. surely that should be tax free? (abroad people would pay local VAT and import duties). Finally, how quick are they to ship and communicate? Currently the ICP page indicates a 2 week period for delivery (I’m assuming that’s the delay prior to shipment). I don’t mind that, as long as it comes within that timeframe, and not 5 months later.

I actually decided to try something else, using only opentrack. I don’t recall from the top of my head, but it seems to work, and I’m some ways better than AITrack (though movement in axial direction seems to be significantly delayed. Rotation movements seem ok )

ILS doesn’t always work for same approach
BaronVonVaderham replied to BaronVonVaderham's topic in General Bugs
I’ll post a track file later today. it’s actually a known issue. You need to set up wine and weather conditions with winds of a certain speed or higher (not exactly sure what the minimum speed is at which ILS will start working). Apparently ILS also only gets activated once you make an approach request. this isn’t really realistic with real life, where ILS is usually on (when fitted ) unless out of commission. In real life ILS is also only activated for the runway that is active. In DCS apparently it depends on how things are set up. in my case I found that on some multi player servers ILS works, but not on others. (Eg it works on TDCS Caucasus servers, but not on VMA Caucasus servers) -
Hey, sorry for the late response. Yes, the steps are followed, and it used to work fine. What's even weirder, is that suddenly it started working again, and then a few days later it stopped working again. Very frustrating and I cannot figure out what's going on. I suspect you are right about the linking between the two, but it must be something with the system porting it over. It's not a physical thing, its definitely software related. Maybe its related to the virus stuff in Microsoft?

Hey guys , I was given a MISC panel by a friend, made by tekcreations. I tried setting it up in DCS, but I can’t seem to get it to work. DCS sees it as a HID device and so does windows, but neither seems to read any inputs from it. I used Arduino IDE to identify the COM port, and then added that COM port to the multiple-com-ports file from DCS BIOS.( I’m assuming it needs DCS BIOS for the LED outputs). I also tried it without DCS BIOS, and although again DCS sees the HID device, it doesn’t register the switches. Can someone please tell me how to fix this please? I’ve included some photos (maybe it’s the input cable that’s not correctly connected between the brain and the panel?)

May I just ask, when will ED fix the ILS issues? I noticed that ILS didn’t seem to always work for the same airport when doing the exact same approach. Googling the problem it looks like it’s an older problem, but it’s not clear what shows it to work in some cases but not others. I’m not talking about not knowing how to use ils or why it may work for some airports/runways/approaches, but not others. I know that. I’m talking exact same airport/runway/approach. Can we please get that fixed, and until then, can someone please tell me what the workaround is?

Well, I start up AITrack, run it. Then I start up Opentrack and run it. Normally it’s supposed to show you the octopus moving as you move your head, but it doesn’t. On AITrack you can see my head move. I’m not familiar with windows event viewer. i tried some of the other settings on Opentrack ) a supposed to work standalone as well), but that didn’t work either.
