I disconnected my monitors for 5 minutes and when I reconnected them everything was jacked up. First I couldn't get it to display on my main monitor, it kept loading onto my second monitor with no way to move it. Then I went into the settings and checked full screen and that did work but now when I try to use my second monitor it minimizes DCS on my main monitor. Before I disconnected the monitors I could have DCS on my main monitor and move my curser between screens and use items on my second monitor with it minimizing my DCS screen. If anyone has any idea on how to correct this please let me know. Thanks.

Transfer steerpoints from the F10 map into the aircraft - DCS: The Way
1BRAVO9 replied to Comrade Doge's topic in DCS Modding
First of all, I would like to thank the developer of this app/mod or whatever you want to call. This thing rocks!! I have been using it for a year or so and I love it, it even works with the F-15E. Recently I go to the F10 map and plot my waypoint using the green dot, but after I return to the cockpit the green dot remains on the screen and will not disappear until the end of that match. Is anyone else having this issue? Second, any possibility of it working for the F-15C? I'm sure this has been asked and answered but I missed, sorry if so.:) -
Thanks bud. I knew it would be somewhere I just couldn't find it, sorry for the repeat questions.

I'm sure this has been asked and answered before but I did a search and didn't see anything. Is there a way to hide DLCs / Modules on the home screen carousel ? There are some I have no desire to get , and I would love to eliminate the clitter of a bunch of things that I have no desire to see. Thanks in advance.

I'll probably get the throttle in the near future and start from there.

Thanks, I'll watch some videos of it over the weekend and probably download it.

Understood. You seem to be a fan of Joypro, what about Joypro is the dealmaker for you? I've used Joystick Gremlin before but not Joypro.

Yeah I don't think recreating your modifiers is that much of a heavy lift. As long as you can easily create you overall mapping, adding a modifier here and there is no issue. For me anyway.

If you are talking about your actual DCS key bind mappings its pretty easy. Go to the controls menu and across the top you will see: Make sure you highlight the control you want to save by pressing one of these: Once you have highlighted the control you want to save, press "save profile as" shown in the first pic. Then the save as will come up and the file will appear as a .diff.lua file. At that point just save it to your C Drive wherever it is easy for you to find: After that you should be good to go. I hope this helps! ***IMPORTANT*** Just remember you have to save one for each control for each model. So if you have a stick and throttle you have to save two files for every model.

Every time my interest peaks in their products they find a way to push me away. I have a VIRPIL HOTAS setup at the moment and I am happy. I have been playing flight games, online, since the late 90s. I played Red Baron, MFS, Janes Combat, F-16/Mig-29, and my favorite was the Microsoft CFS series. I played them all with the Microsoft Sidewinder, the first one I had didn’t even have a USB connection, it had one of those old data port connections (or whatever it was called). I’ve had numerous in between the Sidewinder and the VIRPIL and I’m always looking to try new things. But it seems each time my interest peaks there is always something that just turns me away. The latest happened yesterday. I emailed them and asked about the twist adaptor for the stick. I asked if/when it would be back in stock and instead of receiving an answer I received this long paragraph of incoherent babble. And before you state it is because of the language barrier I will argue that point is moot. For starters an international company should have someone that speaks basic English and can answer a question, if not that’s what Google translate is for, Additionally that would be even more reason for the answer to be short and concise. Instead I received an answer only a politician would give and be proud of that basically doesn’t answer the question and doesn’t obligate Winwing to anything. It was comical but sad. What is your experience? **Note to Admins, I apologize if this should be in Tech and Hardware. I thought since it wasn't a direct question about a specific piece and/or use of hardware it belonged here. If not feel free to move.

Just FYI. I'm sure other have had this problem before but last night I was playing around with the F-15C and sound stopped. PCs glitch, no worries..... I restarted the game and dropped into a map again with the C and some controls were not working. I went to the control menu and about 2/3s of my assigned controls were not showing. To make matters worse, the ability to reassign them was "blacked out", you couldn't even right-click on them. I tried everything and nothing worked. It only affected the F-15C. I had to eventually delete the model and then reinstall it, that was the only way I could find to correct it. Luckily, I am OCD about my controls/button mapping so I routinely save my setup. Anyone else had this happen?

That's my point I don't know how to create it.

I'm trying to install DCS The Way and one of the steps is changing the export lua file. Unfortunately, there is not one in my scripts folder to modify. I looked and looked but I couldn't find a video to show how to create the export file. I found several of how to modify one but not create one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not a fan of a completely "new" game periodically. I would support a mandatory update periodically but not a "new" game.

I have a warbird based I'll be willing to part with. I also have a Warthog set new in the box I'd be willing to part with, but I don't want to divide up the stick and throttle.

A/A & A/G Key Bindings For The F-16
1BRAVO9 replied to 1BRAVO9's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
This is GREAT!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much for taking the time to do this and share it, I really appreciate it. -
I asked this question on the PC Gamer forums but I thought it would be prudent to ask here as well as the main focus of my gaming is DCS World. For about the last 10 years I have been gaming on a PC exclusively. Prior to that it was about 70 -30 ratio console to PC. The reason for the majority console play is that I played mostly BF and some racing games. Then I found MMOs like WoTs and War Thunder and completely abandoned the console. About a month ago I got the itch to play some racing games and decided I would get a PS5 so I could play GT7. When I got the PS5 I decided I would get a "gaming" TV as well. The only one I could find locally was a Samsung cu7000 43 inch at Best Buy. From what I could see it was considered a "gaming" TV, or one that was favorable for gaming. Being that I've played a PC exclusively for so long I sit at my desk and play the PS5 just like I would my PC. So when I play my PC I play on a Dell 32 inch 4k gaming monitor, G3223Q. And when I play my console I play on the TV which is also 4k. I'm wondering if it would just be better to use one monitor/TV for both. Right now about 70% of my gaming is DCS World and when using my HOTAS it moves me a little further from the viewing source. Therefore the TV and increased "real estate" would be nice. But I know right out of the gate I would be sacrificing FPS. Would it be worth it? What else should I consider? What would you do? Any advice or opinion would be greatly appreciated. Just FYI, here is my PC specs. AMD Ryzen 9 3950X 32 GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Windows 11

A/A & A/G Key Bindings For The F-16
1BRAVO9 replied to 1BRAVO9's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Yeah, I see NAV is the default mode, no button necessary. I just saw on the attached button layout that whoever made it assigned the A/A Mode & A/G Mode to his Stick and I was just curious where it was. I couldn't find it. Providing me how it is referred to in the controls menu (ICP-Main) is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you so much for your help!! -
During the last sale I bought the F-16 and I've been taking my time getting it set up and really try to get it the way I want it. Luckily I found a map layout of the F-16 that I really liked for my HOTAS, the Virpil Alpha stick and the CM3 throttle. As I said, I have it just about how I want it but I can't find several key binds, the ability to switch between NAV mode and the A/A or A/G modes. I looked and looked and did not see them. Have I overlooked them? I feel like that at least had to be bindable to the HOTAS at one point in time because its on the map layout I found. Any help would be appreciated. Virpil Layout F-16 PDF.pdf

About 6 months or so ago I started a thread about how I used a trackball when playing flight sims and how they are more ergonomic when using a HOTAS. As I stated then I have been using a trackball for general PC use for more than 20 years, and I had even tried using them for gaming. Honestly, I was surprised how many members of the forum were saying the used one as well. Now I have been thinking about the next step. I'm always trying to find ways to improve my experience and make my HOTAS and input set more intuitive. That being said I've thought about using a handheld trackball mouse. Something like this: I'm always having to reach to use the "real estate" that my trackball sits on. This gets me out of position and makes it harder to control my HOTAS. Most importantly, it get my head tracker out of position and I'm sometimes left with a skewed view. I'm thinking this may really help, as I won't have to alter my body position and I will not have to rely on a surface to rest the trackball on. Anyone tried anything similar to this? Will it be as helpful as I'm thinking? Please share any experience you have . Thanks.

Someone that I have found recently and really enjoy is Tricker. I think he has some great tutorials as well.

Not at all. Just clarifying where I was misunderstood. Please show me in the post you quoted where I appear not to be calm or have an attitude. I thought it was a very clear and concise explanation of our misunderstanding.

The fact that Apple products are usually not conducive for gaming with a Windows based pc was addressed in previous response so I didn't feel the need to address that. I was just stating independent of that fact, the price point is kind of high for the average user. As far as "PC gamer", if you thought I was referring to the magazine I wasn't. It was meant in the general sense. That's why I used the lower case "g". Since we were talking about Apple I thought it was important to distinguish between the few people that game on Apple and those that game on PC, so I used PC gamer. As in an individual.
