Anyone else suddenly lost telemetry in their Moza FFB? I don’t think it’s a pathing issue.. I also lost telemetry with my Buttkicker using sim shaker software.

MOZA force feedback base AB9 How to get started?
Byzantine_SK replied to hannibal's topic in Input Devices
I was experiencing Intermittent loss of telemetry effects (guns/rotor shake) over the last few days on the FFB and have now lost all telemetry (yesterday). Additionally, I have also lost haptic feedback from my Buttkicker and telemetry effects are not being communicated through DCS. Moza firmware is 1.1.1.30 and DCS is the latest steam release. Anyone experiencing this or have troubleshooting advice? -
I noticed it on more than just this mission. On the Damascus airport mission, the ai flight crashes into static objects on the taxiway.

Anyone else having problem with the wingman colliding with ground assets during taxi on Frog 7 mission 2 campaign?

It’s a labour of love and you’re defensive of your work. That’s okay and that’s also understandable. “I'm sorry but it's not. ” Don’t proceed to invalidate a subjective experience please. I’m just not a fan of the rigid mission “triggers” and that’s my preference. As I said above, I appreciate your dedication to realism and a “study level” experience and as I also said, there are lots of positive comments directed toward the campaign. My take was that it’s too uncompromising and I found it frustrating. Im laying out my feedback and take on this campaign. Anyone who reads this can make up their own decision. Just so you don’t think I’m trying to “sewer you” - I bought “beware beware” lat year and really liked it. I’ll certainly consider other campaigns you release in the future.

Uninstalled open xr toolkit. Selecting launch MT preview in Steam VR mode it seems to be working fine with MR/MS enabled. Selecting play MT preview with MR/MS still results in frame skips and a visual quality “blurriness”. This appears to be partially fixed.

I agree the campaign is too fragile and unforgiving. It’s the triggers and sequence requirements that cause the missions to get hung up and turn “fun” into “frustrating”. As an example, complete pre-start checks, engine start “by the book” but a trigger is missed by me (out of order check who knows?) and the AI aircraft won’t taxi ahead of me. Mission won’t progress. This campaign is on rails and if you miss ONE thing out of order - it’s buggered. I’ve read some very positive comments but as a DCS player with +650 hours / this was not fun. Hugely disappointed. No, frustrated would be the better word. For now, I’m relying on DCS user files and hoping a good Yom Kippur campaign will release in the future. Reflected, the passion and commitment to realism is appreciated but the mission triggers are TOO uncompromising.

No change since recent update.

It’s a MT MR issue. There are other threads noting the same issue.

I have found a “remedy” for the stuttering and blurred image after several days of testing various settings. The culprit is enabled motion reprojection within MT. MR within ST will not produce this effect, only in MT! That said, by turning off MR, the ST (MR enabled) and MT run similarly and without stuttering. for whatever reason, the MT branch is producing this awful stuttering and visual “blurred” effect when MR is enabled. Disable MR/Motion smoothing and the stuttering disappears in the MT branch of DCS.

Byzantine_SK started following ST runs better than MT

Hopefully it gets addressed in the next hotfix or patch. I’m going to shelve DCS until then.

Yeah - I’ve got windows game mode off and like you I’ve watched thousands of hours of videos and tweaked and fiddled with Nvidia control panel, open xr toolkit, MR, 60 hz vs 90hz on my VR device, project lasso, affinity cores assignment / you name it. MT use to work well but went tits up after the most recent update. When I launch in ST I get no stuttering and better visuals in VR but have to deal with things like the loss of the rotor wash effect and a black cursor. There is no one fix as you say as everyone has a different system. Being a DCS player is equal parts a labour of love and being a glutton for punishment. One update it works - the next it doesn’t. There is always something. I’m hoping MT will work again down the line as ST doesn’t seem to get support anymore.

Cursor is black in VR? Even at night??!?!
Byzantine_SK replied to DroptheHammer's topic in General Bugs
Even at night. It’s odd but the black cursor is only on ST and not MT. The mouse speed is set quite low, 250 HZ because I don’t like it whipping around the screen. -
No, my system is fine. I’m running a Ryzen 5950x - no CPU cores are parked, 128 gb ram and a 4090 for the GPU with the VR set to 90hz. Nearly all settings are on high and I can hold 30-45 fps with MR on or 60-90 fps with MR off. The difference being, in Steam VR ST - that 45fps is smooth. In Steam VR MT or OpenXR stand-alone MT outside of Steam, that 45 fps comes with jitters and frame jumps - same settings. It has nothing to do with my system or in game or out of game settings. It’s the difference of ST being stable and smooth and MT not being smooth. It could be that my 16 Core CPU doesn’t like MT - I’m not sure of the reason.

I’ve found ST works better in VR than MT. Same findings as OP.
