  1. OMG! Do you know how crazy this has been driving me and how many innocent electrons have been shot down in frustration? Glad I found this thread!
  2. I got the same behavior, but setting the DT in the Bombing table call up fixed that. He will confirm by saying "Captured". Only now my releases are way, way off. In this personal mission I didn't do the Full alignment but instead went with the BATH alignment. Looking through the flight manual now to see what I'm doing wrong. Edit: My problem is that I don't listen and it tells you everything in the training mission. That Bombing call up has to be right, and you have to follow what you told Jester you were going to do...duh. Target Elevation, your anticipated dive angle, speed and your release altitude. Pretty awesome really!
  3. Curious what the thoughts are in placing multiple options of aircraft to play through a single mission? I have a couple of missions posted under User Files, each of which the player can choose from where different aircraft (F-18, AH-64, etc.) are doing different things across the map that have some general tie in to each other. I see some other missions like this, but wanted to know if maybe it was more efficient to focus on a single aircraft at a time.
  4. Thank you for taking the time to answer! My suspicion is having a large number of high fidelity models near by affects my controls.
  5. First off I have a HOTAS, but like flying with a MS 360 Type controller a lot too since I don't have to reorganize me desk every time I want to fly a mission. I have throttle controls mapped to buttons and I noticed that in your missions the Throttle inputs don't throw as much as with my own. I have a lot more control for some reason. I've noticed this also in a Heatblur mission for the F-14, much more control in throttle inputs. Is there something in the mission editor that controls that? Just curious. Thanks
  6. Wonder if anyone here might be able to help me out, I fly DCS a lot with an Xbox 360 Type controller (Specifically a FlyDigi Vader 3 Pro) and can fly everything I own (AH-64, KA-50, FA-18C, A-10CII, F-14, P-51, etc. etc.) I have the throttle controls mapped to by A and B buttons using Tuuvas's recommendations, but have some issues when trying to have fine tune control over the throttles, in this case the F-14. I had an issue with my P-51 but managed to make an edit to the "Clickabledata.lua" in the Cockpit folder for the aircraft changing a value of 1 to .012, now I have really great control over the throttle. (below) elements["pnt_43"] = default_movable_axis(_("Throttle"),devices.ENGINE_SYSTEM, device_commands.Button_21, 43, 0.012) Looking to make a similar change to my F-14 so I can have better control over the aircraft during aerial refueling, but the format is a little different for the throttle inputs and I haven't been able to successfully change any of the throttle behavior, it's a put too touchy for things like refueling and I'd like to be able to have some smaller throttle input with each press of the button. I can refuel, but it's rather white knuckled affair as the attached track file shows. -- Fuel system elements["PNT_1044"] = default_animated_lever(_("Fuel Shutoff - Right"), devices.FUELSYSTEM, device_commands.FUELSYSTEM_Shutoff_R, cockpit_args.Fire_Ext_Handle_Right,6.0,{0.0,1.0},pilot_only) elements["PNT_15081"] = default_animated_lever(_("Fuel Shutoff - Left"), devices.FUELSYSTEM, device_commands.FUELSYSTEM_Shutoff_L, cockpit_args.Fire_Ext_Handle_Left,6.0,{0.0,1.0},pilot_only) Anyone have any ideas on how I can do this? Thanks in advance! F-14B AA Rueling 3rd.trk
  7. I just finished my campaign too not that long ago. Like a good book that you don't want to end, I had that familiar morose feeling when the last mission ended. Great, great campaign! Can't want to play through it again!
  8. Playing through the campaign for a second time and noticed that a couple of times on Mission 3 when Caboose is supposed to split off to go after the radar station Cobweb follows them and do not continue South. Doesn't happen all the time, it has happened twice. Probably a me problem since I have some community mods installed. Just thought I'd post something in case anyone else experienced this.
  9. Even though I really like the simulation aspect of flying in and out of France, it's great to have something to listen to!!
  10. How can you access the mission to edit it? The mission planner option doesn't let me make any edits and I'm not finding anything through the normal mission editor. Update: Nevermind! I found them. I have DCS OpenBeta saved to an external harddrive and was looking in the wrong place. For anyone else running into this problem: Your Harddrive:\Games\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\campaigns\P-51D Debden Eagles
  11. I was about to report the same thing. DCS crashed on me as I was entering my approach over Kenley. Submitted the crash report, but will try what you did above. Thanks!
  12. I had a similar problem pop up when I was trying to set up a 360 Controller set up as my flight controls. I left it plugged in when I wanted to use my HOTAS. So essentially my controllers were fighting each other for control. Otherwise, everything is working for me.
  13. Enjoy it! Had mine for about 2 weeks and finally getting the hang of transitioning to a hover from flight.
  14. I also just picked up the AH-64, but don't remember really. I used Miles from some previous smaller purchases, but don't recall if the 10% came off when I put it in.
  15. I'll give it a try, knew it was out there, but didn't think to install that version. Thanks!
  16. I'm new to DCS and the AH-64 was my first Helicopter....ever (haven't even been successful in the ones from Microsoft Flight Simulator before I dove into the Apache). Picked it up on 6/17. If you have experience with the Huey I image that you are far ahead of me in the learning curve. But my experience mirrors yours. My first landing I was just happy to get land on the planet, much less anywhere close to where I needed to be. I'm no authority, but my recommendation is to keep with the practicing and it will come to you. There are a lot of good YouTube resources out there too in ComsoTV and the thread by Bradmick.
  17. I had the same question too, I'll be patient
