If you use any module so infrequently that you would rather just have the storage space back, you can uninstall it from the DCS launcher: null

Speedbrake retraction bug with new detent option
bernyssen replied to bernyssen's topic in Bugs and Problems
Awesome, thanks guys! Fingers crossed for the hotfix -
Hi Heatblur Team Thank you very much for the update! I was trying to find the correct value for the new afterburner detent option when I came across a bug. It looks like the speedbrake automatic retraction position is static and independent from the new AB detent value. If the detent value is set low enough, the afterburner will engage without retracting the speedbrake. I recorded a short clip in the Caucasus free flight instant action mission with the detent value set to 58, with the afterburner gate button disabled, and using a Warthog throttle with zero curves on the the throttle axes. https://youtu.be/zJXwUeRvfDQ Could you please take a look at this bug? Thanks in advance!

F-14: Destroy or damage ground targets with A-A weapons.
bernyssen replied to ValhallaAB's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Your post made me curious so I set up a quick mission to mess around with some cargo ships. I know the missiles and radar were not designed to engage ground targets, but it was a fun experiment! I was able to get a radar lock on a cargo ship using PAL, but neither Phoenixes or Sparrows tracked it after launch. Launching an active Phoenix did not work either, it didn't manage to lock the ship. Finally, boresight mode with the Sparrows was also unable to guide the missile. Looks like you have great aim! -
Hi Heatblur Team, I want to start by thanking you for the amazing work you've done with the Tomcat! My inner 6 year old is living his dream I've been flying it since early 2021 and lurking the forums, but only just started posting recently. With that said, I found a very minor detail: the tooltip text for the left mirror says "Adjust Right Mirror", and viceversa. This is not urgent and actually ignorable, but I figured it would be best to report it anyway. Thanks in advance and keep up the great work!

Sorry for taking so long to reply, I finally had some free time to spend on DCS. You are correct, even with the RPM reduction from the RATS, the speedbrakes are supposed to retract when the throttles reach the MIL detent. I came across the non-retracting speedbrake issue on my first bolter trap, and I also replicated it on land in the Caucasus and NTTR maps, which rules out the Super Carrier module. It seems like it is a throttle curve issue, not a Tomcat module issue. Earlier this year, I upgraded to a Warthog throttle and I've been using it with the afterburner detent installed and a curvature value of 13. If I moved the throttles to the detent, the speedbrakes would remain extended, but if I slammed them forward, it would sometimes cause the speedbrakes to retract. I increased the curvature value to 14 and now they retract every single time, and without engaging the afterburner.

I can't comment on the speedbrakes because I haven't been able to spend time on DCS recently, but the lower RPM is intended behaviour. It is caused by a system called the RATS, Reduced Arrestment Thrust System. It has an advisory light on the pilot's caution panel, but I dont think I've ever looked to check if it was on after trapping. It is described in the general overview chapter of heatblur's manual.
