You had me at first, then lost me immediately when you requested to remove the 35.

Release in 2026 but barely any info 6 months before 2026?
travissgrey replied to LimePartician's topic in DCS: F-35A
Check the FAQs. Development will start in earnest in 2025, with a release goal in 2026. This is subject to change. Of course definitely not a promise, but implies that a 2026 release could be possible plus it is the current goal of ED. And I hope it will happen, because my wallet is ready for it -
Game crashed twice while using JSOWs with the ATFLIR pod
travissgrey replied to travissgrey's topic in Bugs and Problems
I extensively tried to replicate the issue but failed, plus it hasn’t happened again not even in multiplayer. Probably the two crashes were only a coincidence. Thanks for the help. -

Hello there. While scanning a designated waypoint with the ATFLIR, in IR mode, the game crashed. Tried once again, and once again had the same weird situation. Not really a crash to desktop but the game froze entirely, and I had to CTRL + ALT + CANC to get back to desktop. I do not recall pressing any button prior the crash, so it just happened while slewing the sensor around my target area. I leave here my DxDiag, the log of the session plus the 2x track files where the crashes happened. Switch between LAlt+C views in the cockpit with the mouse.
travissgrey replied to ASW's topic in Wish List
The keybind is there and works perfectly. If for you it is greyed out, rename the MOUSE folder located into aircraft/F4U/input to something else, like MOUSE1, then profit. Have fun -
Usually renaming the INPUT folders of a particular aircraft resolves the issue of greyed out controls. For example, at first I was unable to add the ALT+C standard keybind to a mouse button. Renaming the MOUSE folder (located into aircraft/F4U/input) to something like MOUSE1 solves the problem. Give it a try.

Making DCS Accessible for Blind Players – A Realistic Proposal
travissgrey replied to Dataaja95's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Asking out of curiosity, and I hope that it won’t sound rude. First of all I’m impressed to see that blind players can fly on civilian flight simulators, impressive stuff which is new for me, never thought that it was a thing. But here comes the real problem, unlike Flight Simulator, DCS is a military focused sim where the actual objective is not a smooth flight from point A to B, and the use of an eventual autopilot is very limited. You have to pay constant attentions to several sensors, using targeting pods, manipulating your radar every 10 seconds, visually checking the environment around you to spot targets and threats (both on the ground and in the air) while flying your aircraft often VERY slow and VERY fast. It requires you a big amount of situational awareness. From my actual understanding, I really struggle seeing how this could be solved. -
I got an easy, quick fix. Ima get my money back. Cheers, everyone. When and IF one day those two companies will be able to get their stuff together, i will be happy to buy the Strike Eagle again. Maybe. What’s happening here is hilarious, and it started 3 months ago, not two days ago. Everyone complaining is completely right, flight simulation is not cheap and they spent real money on it. At least stuff should work as intended: instead, my radar is CRIPPLED! How i’m supposed to defend myself? With bad words?

This is good to know, looking forward to it. Thank you.

I’m not really sure this is a normal thing related to George flying skills. I mean i’m aware of the entire trim system. The track that i provided shows me passing the control of the 64 to George while i was in a near perfect hovering above the runway, and he is simply unable to maintain that. Same results if you pass the chopper to him during different stages of the flight. George had zero problems maintaining an hover status before 2.9. Hope this will be investigated but it’s okay because i’m already seeing multiple guys pointing at the same issue. Then i’m not sure why my bug report got moved in this VRS topic, because i was talking about a complete different problem. I was already aware that George will get himself into an easy VRS while flying the Apache.

Single 3440x1440 monitor, but like they told me you need to be in a multiplayer environment! That solved the problem for me.
-
Honestly i don't understand this part. George doesn't launch Hellfires when he wants unless he is in free fire mode.

The AH64 looks INCREDIBLY good. When the rotor spools up to fly power it’s really cool looking, very smooth. The Kamov and the Hind are also near the same level. Even the Huey, at this point really old, will stand his ground. Then we have the Gazelle.. And it’s a shame, since the external module - except for the rotor - is REALLY, really good looking! At least for me. Hope for a fix.

This. The Ah64 right now is performing flawlessly. Flying it is a real joy. Love this update so far

Encountered the issue 30 min ago while flying in multiplayer. Switched in the CPG seat, I left the controls to George, and when he was at 0 knots he started drifting violently to the left and right. Tried to adjust altitude, changing heading and speed, but in the end he was unable to hovering. I reproduced the issue easily during an instant mission bug george.trkto not send a gigantic track file.
