Not sure what it is, but for some reason I feel the sound in the F4U is a little 'weak' sounding. I was expecting the engine to be a bit more like the P47, but the F4U's engine sounds 'smaller'. Guns also could use a bit more bass when firing. Might be just me, but compared to the other Warbirds the F4U's sound feels subdued.

Yeah, I doubt it'll happen at all. But cannot hurt to ask with the Pacific WW2 stuff coming out. Would be a good time to revisit a lot of things around naval engagements.

Please review the WW2 assets pack damage model, especially for the Samuel Chase. Some ships seem reasonable to sink with dive bombing, but the Sam Chase seems invulnerable to 500kg bombs. Have ship AA guns destroyable. Currently they are invincible until the ship is dead. Maybe separate out the AA guns as objects linked to the ship object instead apart of the single object? Additionally would like to see sinking animations that line up where damage happens. Ships always sink the same no matter where they get hit. Would be nice to have a few new sinking and damage animations. Listing to aft, bow, port, starboard, etc. Add some oil slicks,etc around the ship when damaged. Example, Rollovers in old WW1 and WW2 footage are pretty terrifying.

During a rainy day, the rain drops don't appear on the canopy at all. In the past they used to, but a few updates ago they disappeared.

Hmm, I have the OG Pimax Crystal not a Crystal Light. The PimaxXR Runtime was a version from about two years ago. Removing that line. I think there's a version that gets installed with newer Pimax Play, that one is fine.

Thanks. Actually with DLSS 4.0 a bunch has changed so updated the first post. Give those a shot. Been VERY happy with DLSS 4.0 now and getting much steadier FPS.

Are you using Quad Views with Fixed Foveated Rendering? Even though you don't have eye tracking on the Crystal Light, you can still use Fixed rendering to help with FPS. Also, ensure you have SSLR turned off. It kills FPS and as far as I can see doesn't really add much graphically.

I need to update the screen shots but the Quad Views in the Pimax Play should be unchecked. You'll want to install Quad Views from https://github.com/mbucchia/Quad-Views-Foveated/releases Been using it for a couple days and works good so far with https://github.com/TallyMouse/QuadViewsCompanion/releases/tag/quadviews 1.0.12

Figured out a app to measure your IPD on your phone. Used a app "PD Meter" and was able to finally get a good measurement. Thanks to Refracted Simulations on YouTube for the idea!

What'd be the main reason to update to a OLED set when that comes out? Is it just the darker blacks and better colors?

Updated and able to get 120 fps now with Anti Aliasing off. Seems to help spotting with it off. Items are more recognizable at a distance and not all 'muddy' due to the smoothing.

Updated the original post for the new Pimax Play version 1.33.01.01 that has the OpenXR built in. You will need to remove a couple of the stand alone apps, but keep QuadViews Companion.

Virpil Gearbox 2 Landing Gear button 42 down position picks up 42 and 41

Have a strange issue with the Virpil Gearbox 2 with the Landing Gear lever. Up position reports button 41 just fine. Middle is button 40, just fine. Going down should report just 42 is active. However lately, down is doing a double button active with 42 AND 41. If I go down about 50% it'll just pickup button 42, but fully down it does both. A little worried it's a physical problem and not something with software, but anyone have ideas? As a work around just put a piece of tape to stop the down at 50% so it's just active on 42, but would like to get this fixed if possible.

You'll be able to disable it. In fact you should already go through all the Privacy settings and turn a bunch off now. Recall is just the latest thing that tracks activity, there's stuff there already like Activity History.

@Calvin.Pimax for whatever reason this update didn't show up in the client when you were on a older version Settings > Current Version and run the Check for Updates. That would report I was already on the 'latest version'. Had to download from the link to get the update. Might need to make sure the Check for Updates is actually working in client?

That's the reason I wouldn't go down to 18%-20%, but 25% seemed to be a good middle ground. Anywhere between 25-30% is likely a good compromise for FPS vs focus.

Found this chart and adjusted QuadViews. If your eye normally only has full focus in about 18 degrees, then tried lowering the vertical and horizontal focus size to 25% down from 33%. Got about a 8-12fps increase and didn't notice any vision degradation when in eye tracking. Playing mostly in the 4YA WW2 server and don't really have any issues spotting planes (of course using VR Spyglass Zoom for distant spotting). Recommend trying anywhere between 18%-30% for focus size, 25% seemed to be my sweet spot.

fixed FPS drops and mouse movement causing stutter

My corsair mouse polling was at 1000dpi and I was getting the stutters while using menus and the mouse in game. Lowering to 500dpi in the iCUE software seems to have alleviated the issue, but it was something new after the last patch. Prior to that everything at 1000dpi had been fine. -
