You're welcome. Yes, the radar is very tricky to use I think that is a typical experience. If you're still learning, definitely take the time to read Chuck's Guide, which is the link I sent previously. I learned most of what I know from that guide. The radar has multiple non bore-sight modes for different situations and there is a dial used to change mode. The developers are working on a more realistic radar model as the current one is over-performing. If the targets speed is the same as your aircraft's speed, the track will drop.

Hello, Welcome to the Mirage F1 enjoyers club. The 3-way switch you are looking for is labelled as: Radar telemeter/ area zone scanning selector switch UP: TL Air-to-Air 5 degree square can (size about the hud glass) 400m to 7Km range Center: OFF (regular radar operation) Down: BZ Area Scanning 20 degree scan zone 7km range https://chucksguides.com/aircraft/dcs/mirage-f1/#pf12f I think the IR missile issue is a bug.

F-14B(?) Upgrade as featured in DCS 2025 video

Thank You, I will look into that.

This is awesome! Do you have plans to make the radar control stick as well? Are there any resources on how to integrate this into a controller board? I'm interested in this but not experienced.
-
OK that makes sense. Thank you for the information.

The radar is not as advanced as the hornet or viper unfortunately. The TWS mode (PSID) allows for increased SA, but cannot soft lock other targets or switch between them. If you want to fire the 530D missile, you have to switch to STT (PSIC) mode before it will launch.

The real M2000C throttle has a radar elevation wheel but no such axis exists in the control bindings, just discrete up or down. Is there a way to add a radar elevation axis to the controls or does the developer have to add that?
-
Ah, I see. Thank you again for your help.

If I could afford it, it would be great to have the actual controls or a near replica for each plane but that is very unlikely to happen. I found a Winwing F-16 throttle for $50, because the USB port was loose, and it cost me 2 dollars to fix. Maybe after I find a set of rudder pedals...

Thank for the suggestions guys. I have a set-up that works, I just prefer to keep the controls as close as possible between the aircraft, and I do like the f-16 setup.

So I've only had time to do limited testing, but excluding the DCS folder and running another repair seems to have fixed the issue. Will report if it returns.

No files are flagged when starting DCS. Just added the DCS folder to the exclusion list. Will repair and try again. Thank you. Just default windows defender. Appreciate all the suggestions.

Thank you, I'll look into this and report back. EDIT: The transport.dll is not being quarantined, which is too bad I was hoping it was something easy to fix.
