You're welcome. Yes, the radar is very tricky to use I think that is a typical experience. If you're still learning, definitely take the time to read Chuck's Guide, which is the link I sent previously. I learned most of what I know from that guide. The radar has multiple non bore-sight modes for different situations and there is a dial used to change mode. The developers are working on a more realistic radar model as the current one is over-performing. If the targets speed is the same as your aircraft's speed, the track will drop.

Hello, Welcome to the Mirage F1 enjoyers club. The 3-way switch you are looking for is labelled as: Radar telemeter/ area zone scanning selector switch UP: TL Air-to-Air 5 degree square can (size about the hud glass) 400m to 7Km range Center: OFF (regular radar operation) Down: BZ Area Scanning 20 degree scan zone 7km range https://chucksguides.com/aircraft/dcs/mirage-f1/#pf12f I think the IR missile issue is a bug.

F-14B(?) Upgrade as featured in DCS 2025 video
Sknusk replied to VR Flight Guy in PJ Pants's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Check this out from HB discord -
Thank You, I will look into that.

This is awesome! Do you have plans to make the radar control stick as well? Are there any resources on how to integrate this into a controller board? I'm interested in this but not experienced.
-
OK that makes sense. Thank you for the information.
-
The radar is not as advanced as the hornet or viper unfortunately. The TWS mode (PSID) allows for increased SA, but cannot soft lock other targets or switch between them. If you want to fire the 530D missile, you have to switch to STT (PSIC) mode before it will launch.

The real M2000C throttle has a radar elevation wheel but no such axis exists in the control bindings, just discrete up or down. Is there a way to add a radar elevation axis to the controls or does the developer have to add that?
-
Ah, I see. Thank you again for your help.
-
If I could afford it, it would be great to have the actual controls or a near replica for each plane but that is very unlikely to happen. I found a Winwing F-16 throttle for $50, because the USB port was loose, and it cost me 2 dollars to fix. Maybe after I find a set of rudder pedals...
-
Thank for the suggestions guys. I have a set-up that works, I just prefer to keep the controls as close as possible between the aircraft, and I do like the f-16 setup.
-
So I've only had time to do limited testing, but excluding the DCS folder and running another repair seems to have fixed the issue. Will report if it returns.
-
No files are flagged when starting DCS. Just added the DCS folder to the exclusion list. Will repair and try again. Thank you. Just default windows defender. Appreciate all the suggestions.
-
Thank you, I'll look into this and report back. EDIT: The transport.dll is not being quarantined, which is too bad I was hoping it was something easy to fix.
-
I'm having this same issue and MP is unusable now.
-
Well, I hope it is fixed soon. Its unplayable for me now as there's no value in starting when its going to crash at some point. Just happened again, was flying F-16 and crashed after selecting the fuel QTY knob. Same transport.dll. Not sure if those are related. 2024-10-20 01:11:23.315 INFO EDCORE (Main): try to write dump information 2024-10-20 01:11:23.374 INFO EDCORE (Main): # -------------- 20241020-011123 -------------- 2024-10-20 01:11:23.375 INFO EDCORE (Main): DCS/2.9.8.1214 (x86_64; MT; Windows NT 10.0.19045) 2024-10-20 01:11:23.376 INFO EDCORE (Main): E:\DCS World OpenBeta\bin-mt\Transport.dll 2024-10-20 01:11:23.377 INFO EDCORE (Main): # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 00007ff9a15206cd 00:00000000 2024-10-20 01:11:23.378 INFO EDCORE (Main): SymInit: Symbol-SearchPath: 'E:\DCS World OpenBeta\bin-mt;', symOptions: 532, UserName: 'Corey' 2024-10-20 01:11:23.379 INFO EDCORE (Main): OS-Version: 10.0.19045 () 0x100-0x1 2024-10-20 01:11:23.380 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000000e06cd (Transport): woCar::formDrawArguments + 0xDD 2024-10-20 01:11:23.381 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000001477d6 (Weapons): wWeaponSystemManager::updateDrawArguments + 0x36 2024-10-20 01:11:23.381 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000000dc698 (Transport): woCar::controlDrawArguments + 0x28 2024-10-20 01:11:23.382 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000000be1d5 (Transport): wcColumn::GetLastWaypointId + 0x1B5 2024-10-20 01:11:23.382 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000000045eb (World): wSimTrace::CommandsTraceDiscreteIsOn + 0x3EB 2024-10-20 01:11:23.382 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x0000000000004c12 (World): wSimCalendar::DoActionsUntil + 0x262 2024-10-20 01:11:23.382 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x000000000090cfba (DCS): SW + 0x421F4A 2024-10-20 01:11:23.382 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x000000000090cc91 (DCS): SW + 0x421C21 2024-10-20 01:11:23.382 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000009325b2 (DCS): SW + 0x447542 2024-10-20 01:11:23.383 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000008ecb04 (DCS): SW + 0x401A94 2024-10-20 01:11:23.383 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000008ee233 (DCS): SW + 0x4031C3 2024-10-20 01:11:23.383 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000022990ad (DCS): AmdPowerXpressRequestHighPerformance + 0x120B0A9 2024-10-20 01:11:23.383 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x0000000000ccde52 (DCS): SW + 0x7E2DE2 2024-10-20 01:11:23.383 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x0000000000017374 (KERNEL32): BaseThreadInitThunk + 0x14 2024-10-20 01:11:23.584 INFO EDCORE (Main): Minidump created. dcs.log-20241020-205802.zip

Interesting. Thank you for the links. Hopefully an easy fix with an update?

I've noticed more frequent crashes on MP servers lately. I've had one every time I've run DCS in the last two weeks. I didn't save all of the track files/ logs because I figured it was a one off glitch. Decided to report after this most recent event. I've also run a repair and cleared the usual folders. I'll attach the log, but here is the dump information section: 2024-10-20 01:11:23.315 INFO EDCORE (Main): try to write dump information 2024-10-20 01:11:23.374 INFO EDCORE (Main): # -------------- 20241020-011123 -------------- 2024-10-20 01:11:23.375 INFO EDCORE (Main): DCS/2.9.8.1214 (x86_64; MT; Windows NT 10.0.19045) 2024-10-20 01:11:23.376 INFO EDCORE (Main): E:\DCS World OpenBeta\bin-mt\Transport.dll 2024-10-20 01:11:23.377 INFO EDCORE (Main): # C0000005 ACCESS_VIOLATION at 00007ff9a15206cd 00:00000000 2024-10-20 01:11:23.378 INFO EDCORE (Main): SymInit: Symbol-SearchPath: 'E:\DCS World OpenBeta\bin-mt;', symOptions: 532, UserName: 'Corey' 2024-10-20 01:11:23.379 INFO EDCORE (Main): OS-Version: 10.0.19045 () 0x100-0x1 2024-10-20 01:11:23.380 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000000e06cd (Transport): woCar::formDrawArguments + 0xDD 2024-10-20 01:11:23.381 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000001477d6 (Weapons): wWeaponSystemManager::updateDrawArguments + 0x36 2024-10-20 01:11:23.381 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000000dc698 (Transport): woCar::controlDrawArguments + 0x28 2024-10-20 01:11:23.382 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000000be1d5 (Transport): wcColumn::GetLastWaypointId + 0x1B5 2024-10-20 01:11:23.382 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000000045eb (World): wSimTrace::CommandsTraceDiscreteIsOn + 0x3EB 2024-10-20 01:11:23.382 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x0000000000004c12 (World): wSimCalendar::DoActionsUntil + 0x262 2024-10-20 01:11:23.382 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x000000000090cfba (DCS): SW + 0x421F4A 2024-10-20 01:11:23.382 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x000000000090cc91 (DCS): SW + 0x421C21 2024-10-20 01:11:23.382 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000009325b2 (DCS): SW + 0x447542 2024-10-20 01:11:23.383 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000008ecb04 (DCS): SW + 0x401A94 2024-10-20 01:11:23.383 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000008ee233 (DCS): SW + 0x4031C3 2024-10-20 01:11:23.383 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x00000000022990ad (DCS): AmdPowerXpressRequestHighPerformance + 0x120B0A9 2024-10-20 01:11:23.383 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x0000000000ccde52 (DCS): SW + 0x7E2DE2 2024-10-20 01:11:23.383 INFO EDCORE (Main): 0x0000000000017374 (KERNEL32): BaseThreadInitThunk + 0x14 2024-10-20 01:11:23.584 INFO EDCORE (Main): Minidump created. This is certainly possible. I don't have pedals so taxiing is a juggling act for me and the NWS button gets repeated presses. Is this a purely hardware issue or is there a correlation with the simulated electro/hydualic systems in the module? Thank you for your help. Also, ran a repair and now is working normally.
-
Yes, that's what I find odd. I should have been more specific. I could use the throttles, but not the other functions. However, In the cockpit, I can hear the click of the NWS button, and could see the brakes moving, but I could not steer or stop. I only came to a stop by rolling in the grass. The speed brakes would not deploy. I've not had any issues with other aircraft. Very strange. I'm going to see if a repair fixed it.
-
Hello, I was attempting to taxi in the F-4 on Grayflag Marianas just now, and the NWS, brakes, speed brake stopped responding to my HOTAS inputs. The systems worked briefly then the controls, switches were making noises and moving in the cockpit, but they were not performing their functions. I used the automatic start command. I'm unsure if this is a bug or if I did something unexpected. I've not had this issue before, will attach the log. I'm on the most recent update. Thank you for your help. In the meantime ill run a repair. dcs.log

Quick update, I haven't had any with random crashes sine the June updates, and I did not change any hardware.
-
After a repair the auto start is working again, thank you I probably should have tried that first.
-
Thank you I will try that. Although when I was in MP yesterday, I might have accidentally clicked a fuse behind the stick, so Today in the instant start I made sure to only click lwin+home and let it run without interference.
