  1. Haha I'm not getting the OP's question either... I mean, an HUD is an HUD. It's the only screen that the info gets projected on. In some planes in DCS, the info is also displayed on your visor, which you can turn off if distracted. Need to elaborate on the issue bro, so we have a clear understanding of what you're asking.
  2. All been good since. I changed the carrier to another one.
  3. Yea a mission I made ages ago when there were crew existing. Ok thank you. I will check to see which carrier it is. Didn't know that this one won't show the crew.
  4. Hi, I've noticed last night when starting from the carrier, there was no one around to guide me. I just went and got everything ready for take off, then automatically when I started afterburners, I was pushed forward for takeoff. No one to salute to or anything. When coming back and landed, I just circled around the carrier. Is this a bug? Anyone else notice this?
  5. Hi Czar. Why do you want me to reproduce the bug, when I am already describing it? I go along the taxiway, I put on the brakes with my joystick trigger button, and it didn't stop. It's not that hard to imagine such thing happening. No, I didn't touch anti skid settings. Not sure what went on.
  6. So last night, I experienced a glitch where I was going along the taxiway towards the runway. I tried putting on the brakes when I was about to turn for the runway. I couldn't. I checked controls to see if it was assigned to my joystick, and it was. This morning, I tested it again, and it worked. Did anyone have this issue? I mean, I hadn't done anything.
  7. Ok I've tried something else... . After rearming missiles when I ran out, I went back and did it again for each missile, manually. This seems to have helped. So far. So rather than rearming once, I do twice. If this starts to fail, Idk what else is the problem, because I am following the right procedure for rearming and firing.
  8. I understand, but apparently I'm not the only one with the problem. It's happening with both single player, and when I play with my dad. He has also had problems with this, as he told me.
  9. Well, all I can say that this started happening since after the latest update. I am doing everything correctly.
  10. Yes, and in fact, I tried again last night, single player mode. Does not work well in that either. So it is a bug whether as single player or multiplayer. What's happening is that my missiles will randomly fire when I press the weapon release. Sometimes it fires, sometimes not. I can't play if it's doing this. Drives me nuts.
  11. I just thought to let y'all know. It works fine in single player, but multiplayer doesn't. At least, not all the time.
  12. That's possible, yeah. Is why I mentioned trying 1111 instead, as it may be the correct one.
  13. Try 1111 instead. Worked for me. Seems 1688 does not work, is why I kept having problems and failed to fire the missiles. Also saw in another thread that someone mentioned the manual being incorrect about the range, and that it will be fixed. That was back in June.
  14. I couldn't use 1688, so I changed to 1111 and it seemed fine since.
  15. "What ED could do is a remastered version of this Map using the newest map tech, like a Nevada 2.0, with a price that cover the man-hours needed for such a project." Well if they ever make it, and if it will help improve the very dark shadows... .
  16. Yeah it needs fixing. To me imho, it looks so artificial. Shadows need to be natural looking. Just saying.
  17. Right, I go into that sometimes. I just can't find the wind settings, but thanks for pointing them out. I now know where to find them.
  18. I didn't see anything about winds in the weather tab. What's it look like?
  19. Please try it for yourself then. I will try to see if I can get in a track, but it's not easy really. And as someone posted screen shots, and I have as well, It's obvious.
  20. Well, like I said. I don't have the problem when I am in Persian Gulf. So it seems a scenery problem, and within that, aircraft in the scenery have the HUD offset issues. It was never like this. It is a few recent updates now that this problem occurs.
  21. Ok it seems this HUD offset issue occurs on the F-18 as well. However, it snaps back in place after some point, but then goes off again. Really can't say whether if this is due to scenery or aircraft bugs. When I'm in the Persian Gulf, I have no issues at all with anything.
  22. Ok, I'll check that tonight. Thanks. Is there a way to then disable crosswind or any wind? Hiya, where is the cage/uncage in the F-16? Also, forgot to mention. Last night at some point, I noticed the compass on the HUD stopped working, and was stuck at 88 degrees, no matter which way I turned to. Definitely a bug there... I will check that again tonight though.
  23. I don't have the problem with the F-18 or others though, it's only with the F-16 it seems. My dad has noticed the same issue from his end as well. Here are recent pictures of my HUD display. One from yesterday, one from the other day. I really don't think it's crosswind. Else it would occur with the other planes too, I'd think.
  24. You can see that it's off in this screenshot. The direction pointer isn't centered.
  25. Well darn, lol. Mkay thanks. I am having a great time with it. Hopefully it will be possible soon.
