Fighter wing Skrydstrup is situated in the southeren part of the danish peninsula of jylland, where two squadrons of F-16AM´s are based atm. one of the squadrons are actievly being refittet with the F-35A for future capabilites and being intergrated into multidomain operations. The Danish bases of Skrydstrup and Flyvestation Aalborg served as the primary bases for Danish F-16s during the Cold War. They played an important role as NATO’s gateway to the Baltics. Denmark purchased 77 F-16s, which were organized into four squadrons—two at each base. At Aalborg, ESK-723 and ESK-726 were the first squadrons to be upgraded to AMLU standards. Later, the older F-16As at Skrydstrup were either sold or scrapped. The Danish Defense decided to move all remaining Danish F-16s to Skrydstrup, thereby assigning ESK-727 and ESK-730 the newer, upgraded F-16s—aircraft that had already seen deployment in the Balkans in the late 1990s. Video from mid 2000 of Skrydstrup (only in danish) Fighter Wing Skrydstrup has been around since World War II and was originally built by the Germans, who called it Fliegerhorst Hadersleben. During the Cold War, the base was upgraded to NATO standards by the Danish Defense, enabling it to accommodate both American-supplied aircraft and the older F-35 (Swedish Draken). Today, the base features a combination of old and new HAS (Hardened Aircraft Shelters) across the airfield. The Danish F-16AMs have been a crucial part of Baltic air defense, with the Danish QRA (AVB – Afvisningsberedskabet) on standby 24/7, 365 days a year. Whenever Russian or unidentified aircraft approach Danish airspace—most often near the island of Bornholm, which is included in Phase 2—interceptors are launched to respond. Skrydstrup also acts as a host nation airbase during training exercises like Ramstein, which brings foreign aircraft such as Gripens and F-18s from Hungary, Sweden, and Finland to operate from this strategically located base—a key choke point in the Baltic Sea. I truly hope that Ugra Media will be able to recreate this airbase in the same way they did with Soesterberg Air Base maneuver. If they include this airfield, I would definitely hope that Ugra will also add the Rømø Shooting Range, located on one of the islands just west of the airfield. Rømø serves as a training area for the Royal Danish Air Force, supporting air-to-air combat (dogfighting), air-to-ground exercises, and other operational activities. (fun fact we had an F-16AM pilot eject from his plane over Rømø island. youtube: HED ejection) Really hope this can happen and Ugra sees this truly Pingodingo

So i have seen alot of other airbases in the netherlands and belgium and poland being added but have not anything about expanding 50km north into denmark to include the only fighterbase the danes have. it would house F-16, F-35, F-100, plus has been working as a host nation airfield in the current days so it would be a real cool airbase to have since it also would be the airbases danish fighters would go out on a patrol over the baltic sea from.

I have now spent a long time flying the F-16C Block 50 (which is great), but now that Denmark and the Netherlands are providing F-16s to Ukraine, I think it would be reasonable to introduce another F-16 variant. Another argument for this is that all the EPAF countries operate it, as well as other nations that have purchased second-hand F-16s, such as Romania. Taking a closer look at the Danish variant, since we are still operating it (for about one more year), it has been upgraded to Tape 6.5 (which would be classified). However, it would be feasible to implement a lower tape version that still features more modern and capable weapons than the current in-game F-16. This could also open the opportunity for more flexibility with the Dutch, Norwegian, and Belgian F-16AMs, which have extended tails. Additionally, all four countries have equipped their aircraft with the Terma PIDS+ and ECIPS/CJS pylons. These could either be selectable in a menu or included as a pylon extension. This variant would be fitted with the Westinghouse AN/APG-66(V2) Fire Control Radar (FCR), which would allow for Track-While-Scan (TWS) mode with up to 10 targets at once. It would also include the Hazeltine APX-113 Advanced Identification Friend-or-Foe (AIFF) system, which would allow up to a 100nm range on datalink. M6.1 Tape (This is what I hope to be included) Improved IFF system (Mode 5 waveform with better distinction between friendly and enemy aircraft) Introduction of the AIM-120D missile (two-way datalink, improved navigation, and high-angle off-boresight capabilities, with double the range) Addition of more advanced air-to-ground weapons (GBU-39 SDB, GBU-54 LJDAM) Integration of improved Link-16 functions with net-centric capability Implementation of a new Universal Armament Interface to standardize communication between the aircraft and weapons, eliminating the need for new OPF tapes with every new weapon system One other noticeable feature in the AM package is the inclusion of the Terma ALQ-213 product family, which combines a new countermeasure panel with the capability of housing a jammer inside the ECIPS/CJS pylon. Additionally, the PIDS+ pylon has the capability of carrying flares. So i have been using these textures for a long time and just recently after the latest update they stopped working. i have removed the old ones before installing the new ones but i cant get it working. anyone have the same problem? EDIT: Important to set your terrain textures to high lol otherwise it will just be vanilla textures

very cool scope of the map just personally hope they would increase it slightly more in denmark so it would include Skrydstrup in suthern jutland

this has probably already been requested and i know that check six has a MRTT in the works for their australia assetspack but there is a long time before that releases. There is just not that much variation in the KC-135, so it would be cool to see some more variation in the Boom tanker pool since the drouge already have the KC-130, KC-135 MPRS and the Viking

i really hope the map devs are looking these forums through cause i know its a big dream for us danes to able to fly from bases like Skydstrup, Ålborg and Karup

Mods does alot of the feel to make it a AMLU but would be cool if we got a seperate amlu aircraft with also weapons from araound 2015-2020 (mainly gbu-39 and gbu-49/54) Idk about plane dev for dcs but i guess it wouldnt be too hard since its basicly a cockpit rearrengement and some restrictions on the weapons you can carry. I have high dreams of one day flying an AMLU over libya in DCS

this might be bollocks but if they would remake the actual explosion cause when you see bombs in real life they kinda explode not only up but alot of times rolling out like a donut. (all the pictures are 500lb bombs, only the last one is a 2000lb

yeah the only diffrence i could think of it will be if there were some new airfields that has come since (which im pretty sure there might be) but other than that it should be the "same"

yes that is very true. lol might have been a little focused of my own country particpating in the 2011, so thats why i want that version but dont really think its going to much of a diffrence

i think it would be cool to see a map representing the nofly zone over lybia and all the incidents that has happened the map i have marked is 3.665,47 NM

i have just recently noticed that some of the syrian and other cities have way to many highrises, now idk if there is anything that can be done about it but here is a comparison of raqqa in dcs with tall buildings to real life. not really high priority but would be cool if it would be more like real life : )
