Hey 47, I was flying on Grayflag Caucasus around lattice A, which pushes up the coast. my altitudes very rarely ever stray above 200 AGL and the outside temp on the particular time it occurred was -6 C (approx 20 F). It only seems to begin happening after about 20-30 mins of flight. I fly with 101st CAB if you ever want to jump into a voice chat. Discord: Brigantine.

Here is track replay from one of my sorties in question. I hope this is what you are looking for. Grayflag Caucasus Winter A-20250312-133955.trk

Have been recently flying on a map that is simming wintertime. After about 20-30mins of flying in the Hook turbine power begins to fluctuate and power starts decline. Continued flight begins to show a drop in rotor speed to the point of losing generator power and flight instruments. If flight is continued however rotor speed declines to the point that takeoff is not possible. Is this an accurate modeling of the aircraft under cold weather conditions and has anyone else experienced this?

Update: I figured out the ARC-186 to get it to work with SRS. On the radio control panel set the knob on the lower right corner to T/R or transmit/ receive. If you cant see the writing turn the knob clockwise(From startup) to center setting. Frequencies can be set on this panel, pretty straight forward stuff. Also there is a volume knob on the upper left side of same panel, adjust to your liking. Enjoy P.S. Make sure you have Monitoring knob on main panel depressed and turned up as well. (3rd knob from left on pic posted above)

I conducted an experiment, I noticed that people with the same issue DID NOT have the Apache module. I did a trial on the Apache and downloaded it, My RWR in the Chinook immediately started squawking when I turned it on. I did not fly around to investigate further but it is obvious the 2 modules are linked some how in the coding. It was almost as if there are 2 different Chinook modules out there as other people that have problems that I do not have, for example 104th Maverick was not able to turn brightness down on outboard pilot MFD. I did not have this problem. Have the Chinook w/ Apache, and the Chinook without.

The way I understand it, and have heard on twitch streams is voice callouts very similar to AH64 module.
-
Do you also have the AH-64 module?
-
Lol I just posted same thing. I have No audio callout from the RWR. I also do not have the AH64 module. Could this be an issue?
-
I have had no luck getting the RWR to give the "voice" alerts. I have turned on the RWR and the CMWS on the CDU and turned both the volume up. I still get no sound from it. Am I missing something somewhere?

I try to be as on a straight and lvl when engaging Bob. He does some strange things, but for the most part will get you from A to B. Also be aware that when reducing speed with Bob when it drops below a certain threshold (From 60/50ish to around 40ish) Bob will pitch up to an insane angle. You just have to give him a chance to settle down and you will be fine lol.

Cheers. I have been pretty much flying the Chinook since the day it dropped. I am not a helo expert in anyway, but if you have anymore questions be glad to help if I can.

It works for me, not 100% though. All the radios have to be tuned in the SRS overlay. On center console, radio panel you need to manually turn up all the radios individually and make sure they are depressed for monitoring(left click to depress, right click to lift). Also on the same panel is a master volume control need to turn that up as well. The back up radio (ARC 186) on the back of the center console has its own volume control as well. I have been unable to tune this radio since the latest SRS update. You can tune it on the panel, but make no difference in the SRS overlay. Hope this helps.

Man, Thanks this will be amazing for the F4 when it comes out. I wonder why I haven't heard more people talk about it.

This has made for some really interesting reading, If you can handle government equipment manuals. PDF is downloadable. Sections on flight characteristics are very informative. Enjoy! https://www.f4phantom.com/docs/F4Manual-1979-T-O-1F-4E-1-Flight-Manual-USAF-Series-F-4E-Aircraft.pdf

Looking for a squadron or group of folks that would like to get together to learn to operate this phabulous bird. I am new to DCS the F4 having brought me here. I have spent the last month or so learning to fly the F16C, So I'm sure jumping into the F4 will be a complete culture shock. Would like to have others around to share the experience with, and hopefully learn some things from one another. Plz chime in and maybe we can build something! Best regards
