  1. What are you saving your files as? 4k files at BC7 compression with mipmaps will end up as 21.8MB files per. Without mipmaps this would go down to 16MB but you will have jagged edges when zooming out/further away. Ill add an image for how i export my psd to dds as reference null
  2. Sadly they are bound under buildings.. which also removes the site itself.. and every city nearby.. most things except forests and roads actually. Also this does not work ingame while flying
  3. DDR had everything from SA2, SA3, SA4 (unavailable ingame), SA5 and SA10 the SA6 and SA11 seems to have been used by East Germany but its not entirely clear to what extent Interesting websites i recommend checking out: https://geimint.blogspot.com/2008/08/ddr-air-defense-cold-war-case-study.html https://github.com/Whiskey-11/The-IADS-Project
  4. Mixed something up my bad. There is for sure one too many down south near the border near Bad Salzungen. From what my records list it seems to have been an EWR site. Definetly not a big installation. Will have to check more when im home
  5. Alot of the SAM sites in east germany were round or starshaped in nature and most of the time inside forested areas almost hidden away. The SA5 sited i was not able to find anything looking remotely similar to in real east germany as there were only two actual samsites and one planned and they were all unique. On the west german site we have a few HAWK sites that are a bit iffy to setup but possible and essentially all NIKE and PAT sites are missing.
  6. Another one of my complains is that while some SAMsites are modeled, others are not. Aswell as non of the SAM sites looking remotely what they are supposed too. The SA5 sites especially are absolute eye-sores with how huge and out of place they seem. nullWe spent the better part of the last month creating a SAM network based on data we could find online and a good chunk of the SAMsites are no reflected correctly ingame. There is also a SA5 site down south near Fulda that we found no information on( Grid NB81 should be an EWR site from what we found. Also Grid UV87 shows a SAM marker but contains no site Every colored dot is a SAMsite. Type based on color.
  7. Here are some images of the shelters. I have no idea if they got changed though
  8. -Spangdahlem can hold A10s between 1-36 and 91-106. Meaning the pads and southwest hangars -Bullseyes are still in Kaliningrad (propably a leftover from being what appears to be a baltic map) -Not sure but im pretty sure its still the same buildings
  9. With the update on the 21.05.25 we got AAW and Hospital Markers on the map. While a neat idea this leads to two issues: Firstly it can lead ot confusion for players as they see SAM or EWR markers even if the mission has nothing there. Secondly and more important it causes issues for mission editor, as the markers are very big, do not scale very well and most importantly are not see through. So the only options are to either hide the "building" layer (which will also hide all buildings) or work exclusively in satellite mode. While fully removing them might not be in the interest of the developer I would suggest taking inspiration by the Sinai map as it already has a very similar feature. Scaling better with zoomlevel and being partially see through. .
  10. Recently I have been working alot with static templates and one issue i keep running into is that if you want to export only part of your mission as static template you have to save, delete everything else, export as static template and then reload the mission from save. Giving the ability to quick export a multiselect as a static template would be a great addition for mission makers. I made a quick mockup of this below. This could possibly even include drawings and zones.
  11. after I just spent a solid 30minutes doing exactly this I was about to make this exact same thread. Especially on some of the modern aircraft with lots of pylons this becomes a hassle. I double this
