No You are correct the Mustang never saw combat in the US. My statement was western Europe and Pacific theaters. Although ther were a few battles in Alaska.

I will just sit and watch You all bicker. lol!!!! But the truth is I am an avid Mustang fanatic. I know we are a dime a dozen. Allot of good points here. My hopes are getting a DCS wwii combat sim. If We could set up combat missions in a similar manor We get to in BS and A-10C but in western Europe and the pacific theaters, then this is where ED would have it all over FSX. Just another opinion. Time will tell how this will pan out. But if ED had to pick a legendary warbird, they would be hard pressed to pick a better or more historically important one. I don't know about You guys, but I'm gonna fly My Mustang with a couple Vipers and pretend I'm Ed Shippley!! LOL!!!!!!!

Record AVI High resolution => crash
alpinemike replied to Supersheep's topic in Screenshots and Videos
This is exactly how I understand it too. Not sure I can say whats wrong with Your setup tho. I had issues with Mine after loading a hdr/ bloom program. It would launch but not record. I had to fully reinstall fc2 to get it working again..... -

alpinemike replied to beczl's topic in 3D Modeling for DCS World
Ah ha. I was fooled by gbox. :music_whistling: The combined forces thing had Me confused too. The upcoming mod for DCS and FC2/FC3 is also called "COMBINED FORCES". Sorry chief, hope We didn't get too many folks all excited.... cool mod tho. :smilewink: -

I do know one thing about the F-22 radar. It may be somewhat insignificant but, the array is roughly the same shape as the radome. I spent some time talking with an engineer about this. To be honest I could barley keep up with him. He was on a completely different plane. (no pun intended). :music_whistling: But, He said the array was built to be stealth and the over all shape followed the radome.

It's a good point. I remember mention of a SU-34 a while back. ;)

I would think a drawing like this could go a long way towards producing a fine model. http://www.the-blueprints.com/blueprints/modernplanes/sukhoi/42311/view/sukhoi_pak_fa_t-50_pro_type/
-
Assuming of course the model is correct. There are many SU-27 models and few are accurate. Trumpter May be the best and still the canopy is wrong. Modeling is an art. Scale modeling can be an exact science. But I would bet, if the model was pretty close, most of Us would never complain;)

True, You cannot get an ortho-scopic view from photos. Cameras view angle is too narrow and always from perspective. The only way to see and check scale is via exact and precise measurement of dimensions and angles. Easier said than done. ;)

It is one mod= both planes. the mod is at lockonfiles. ( http://www.lockonfiles.com/index.php/files/file/2101-fc2-su-30-flanker-model/ )And comes with instruction as to how to use it. :)
