UH-1H Revamp by Massun92
LeopardLenin replied to Massun92's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
I am so excited to see this mod finished it looks very promising, Thank you Massun92! Btw when i use OVGME download the cockpit comes out to this, I assume this is just what it looks like during development considering it looks more fleshed out than in orignal screenshots.Im just checking it out ofc but the shapes look very good, Keep going if possible! -
Only seeing this now, im very grateful they are adding these airbases. Would still like to see something in Iran but an improvement nonetheless.
-
Yea id love to also list out the Iraqi missing airbases but i didnt because here are so many random clusters of airbases that go by 2-3 different names each and i dont wanna go through that. Also becaue it seems there are much more Iraqi bases than anywhere else shown in the FAQ but there is an obvious lack of them just by looking at the FAQ.
-
@rob10 I cant seem to find this answer from Nineline. Did he answer a similar question from someone else? or mine specifically. And if that is what they said, why arent more important iran-Iraq war, Desert storm and OIF airbases planned atleast?
-
@BIGNEWY @NineLine I would appreciate some communication and transparency about this subject.
-
Maybe i havent been around long enough to witness most of this (3 years). To me i just dont have the trust in them to do the right thing, due to the sheer amount of things that they bake, and dont finish (wont for a long time). You bring up some great points and i hope you are right and im wrong, time will tell i guess.
-
I agree, people have skill sets for them and cant just be switched from team to team. To me its worrying how slow the progress is being made, it almost feels like none but there is some of course. Some game companies realease multiple games in the time ED releases one big feature to DCS. About enemy AI and wingman behaviors, 100% agree, this is extremely important, especially for the dynamic campaign. Same with AIC/GCI, but those are in a much better state than the ATC and therefore i think should be put lower on the priority list. I ask specifially about ATC (just one that works, not one that is AMAZING) as its needed if a Dynamic campaign is to happen.
-
Your right about alot of higher priority items. Was the Chinese meme helicopter one of them? Or the small Apache radar update one of them? I think 99% would agree ATC, Dynamic campaign, semi-decent AI (atleast) and actual improvements to ground AI and not just changing reaction times, is way more important than what ED is putting out right now. Y'know, maps and modules that wont be finished for years but you can Pre-Order them. Genuine question to you @rob10, what would you put as a higher priority than the things I mentioned?
-
Apologies if i missed a different post where somone already mentioned this. Whats up with the ATC? are ED going to make a new one or just leave it in its broken state? Are ED currently working on the ATC or other core features, because in my opinion the ATC should be very high on the list of things that need working/updating.
-
My question to ED is, are they planning to add airbases to Iran and other countries south of Iraq? @NineLine would you be able to answer my question? even if you dont know yet I think everyone would appreciate some Communication. Because there is a MASSIVE shortage of them, here is the list i put on the main Iraq forum post. ** Please correct me if i have missed any or named one already in "DCS: Iraq" ** Kuwait: -Ali Al Salem Air Base -Ahmad al-Jaber Air Base Qatar: -Al Udeid air base -Dukhan/Tamim Airbase Bahrain: -Riffa Air Base (Helo base) -Sakhir Air base Iran -Dezful air base -Omidiyeh air base -Shiraz (possible exception due to it being in "DCS: Persian Gulf") -Mehrabad air base -bandar-e-Bushehr air base -Hamadan air base -Esfahan air base Saudi Arabia -King Saud air base Edit: Also would like to mention that when i asked this first in the main forum i was met with "Have you looked at the map in the FAQ?" from 9L... And didnt get another repsonse.

F16 - Please, start the fixing and stop to implement new issues.
LeopardLenin replied to Nedum's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
We are asking you to fix bugs that constantly keep coming out without benefit. To me it sounds like your trying to justify the tons of bugs by just saying "doesnt matter, people like it", which i hope your not doing and can confirm to us that all of these bugs are trying to be fixed. Its so unstable its insane, More so than any game ive ever played or even heard about to this scale. It feels like a tester loads up the new version of the 16 and glances at the cockpit and MFDs once, then leaves the game, and tells ED no bugs were found. Thats what it feels like, not saying thats whats happening, but thats what it feels like. -
correct as-is based on documentation RWR ALR-56M in DCS World
LeopardLenin replied to kotor633's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Thanks I havent seen this thread. This is kinda the reason i asked ED what THEIR proof is that is works this way, because i dont have "evidence" to back up my claims, only common sense... -

LeopardLenin replied to Nedum's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
I really hope BN and/or NL respond, these are such major issues that arent being addressed. I say they should release the Sniper pod and after just fix bugs, Until a VERY long time. I would even be happy if they didnt release the Sniper pod and just started fixing now. -
correct as-is based on documentation RWR ALR-56M in DCS World
LeopardLenin replied to kotor633's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
Not sure how much this has been said to ED but i would like to mention it either way. The implementation of the ALR56M is wrong. I am not sure what it is based on but it certainly is not radar/radiation strength. When flying with a wingman, his radar radiation towards you is obviously very strong as he is flying beside you so he should show very strong on the RWR, but the DCS ALR-56M puts the wingman on the outermost ring for some reason. Even if you get locked by an Enemy Jet at 40- miles the RWR only shows him on the middle ring until launched on. It seems for anything to be on the Inner ring it must be launching at you, which is obviously not how RWR works. It is the same with all radars and if there are too many radars it completely congests the RWR display. TGT STEP in some cases just makes it worse. The old F16 I believe was correct in terms of this behavior but ED has changed it for the worst it seems. Most other RWRs work as should like the F4E and F15E (thats the only ones i can confirm, im sure there's much more) If someone from ED could respond that would be great as i have a question. What proof do you guys have that this is the way the RWR works? I hope it isnt your SMEs as your SMEs appearantly said (according to ED) that the ALR-56M didnt have Handoff PRF tones, Which was confirmed wrong by BigNewy or 9L. I hope ED can see how that makes us think of what SMEs are working with ED. Attached image is what the ALR56M used to look like, this is correct as it was based on signal strength. This is not how the RWR acts now. If anyone can correct something ive said as wrong, Id be happy to listen as i could be wrong about some of this.
