I know that I don't need to buy everything that's for sale here, but, it's something that I would like to try to attempt. But, I'll have to do it month-by-month because as I said earlier, I live on a monthly income (I'm mildly disabled with Cerebral Palsy & Hydrocephalus and have been since birth....trust me, it's a LONG story. I didn't finally come home from the hospitals until I was 16-months old. And then I only got to spend about four years with my father before he passed away from a massive heart attack while he & my Mother were travelling in New York on his last/final trip home. He was driving the rig and Mom, thankfully, got it stopped before a probably major, major accident happened. Luckily, he had taught her how to drive the rig not long before he died. That being said, I've not had the easiest life since then but I have a wonderful, wonderful stepfather whom I love very much who now suffers with a condition called COPD/Emphysema. @sirrah: I honestly didn't mean to react the way I did. I sincerely apologize to you and everyone here.

My solution for a flexible and relatively cheap (VR) setup
Tony Trout replied to sirrah's topic in Home Cockpits
That setup does look very, very cool!!! Again, though, it's that small thing we call "money" that's stopping me from putting together a setup like that. I've already got some very simple flight controls (a LogiTech H.O.T.A.S collective and cyclic that a dear friend (who also put together this new computer for me that I'm using to type this message) but as far as the "cyclic" and "collective" flight controls are concerned, I'm waiting to see what a company called MicroHelis.de does with their "cyclic" and "collective" flight controls - especially the pricing. They're doing pretty good as far as the controls (the 'collective', for right now) go, though, and it looks awesome!!! Here is MicroHelis Bell 222/230 controls in preparation on the website. That's all well and good but.....that's still a lot of money just for aircraft or modules. Plus, this forum logs me out EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to a different section and I can't get logged back in!!!!

What would the total cost be to purchase all currently available aircraft & map areas? The reason I ask is because I live on a fixed income (I'm mildly disabled with Cerebral Palsy & Hydrocephalus) and most of that money goes towards my living expenses and I just have to go from month-to-month saving up the money if I see something I want to buy. If anybody can kindly answer this one question, I would very much appreciate it. Sincerely, Tony T.

I FINALLY GOT TO PLAY THE GAME!!! Although, it was in "Offline" mode, it was still fun to play to familiarize myself with the game and the aircraft. That being said, I still would LOVE to be able to play the game being fully logged in because I know that I'm probably not seeing all of the benefits and fun of the game. So......if anybody has any ideas on how I can log in, please do let me know either here or in a PM. Thanks, Tony T.

Ok, this is the first time that I've gotten to the brown/yellow-colored log-in screen of the game itself.....but I don't know my darn password! It's because of having Hydrocephalus as that being the reason I can't remember things. Can someone please help me and please let me know if there is a way to STAY logged in 24/7 in the game???? Thanks, Tony

I agree!!!! Although I'm of the "we didn't need to be there" clan regarding the Vietnam war, I do wish they would make a map of it so I could fly there when I get everything sorted out as far as replacing my video card on my computer (as I've mentioned, that will have to wait until the first of the month, though).

DCS World 2024 Screenshots and Video Thread
Tony Trout replied to MiGCap1's topic in Screenshots and Videos
I absolutely LOVE these screenshots & videos because, at the moment, I'm still unable to play DCS due to needing to update my video card - that will be done next month, though, so maybe then I'll finally get to play DCS!!! -
How Do I Connect DCS And My Steam Account???

Okey-dokey, I'll do that soon. Thanks for the help you've tried to give me so far, though! It's very appreciated! -
How Do I Connect DCS And My Steam Account???
Tony Trout replied to Tony Trout's topic in Steam Support
I have, in fact, already installed DCS: Steam Edition onto my computer. DCS will launch - but it's a slow process. A friend of mine who is a computer whiz told me before this that I would need to upgrade my video card on my computer (which I am in the process of doing as finances allow me to.....I've been disabled since birth with Cerebral Palsy & Hydrocephalus (but I've also been blessed with the ability to play several musical instruments but lately, I've gotten into flight simulation in a B-I-G way and I want to try to do all I can to begin this fun journey). Along with, "FlightGear 2020", the rest of the games I play on my computer are all from Steam: American Truck Simulator DCS: Steam Edition Microsoft Flight Simulator Take On Helicopters I believe that's all of the computer games I've got at the moment. I sure hope you or someone there at Steam can help me out with my issue.... Thanks, Tony T. -
I just recently started looking at DCS: Steam Edition and I need to know one thing: How do I connect my DCS account & my Steam account together?? Any help would be very appreciated! (The reason I placed my question here in "Chit-Chat" is because, being completely new to DCS, I didn't know where to place my question. I hope you'll forgive me...) Thank You, Tony Trout

You possibly wouldn't know where I could get a "Collective" control like what the classic Bell 222A/B used, would you? Or is there anyone that even makes them, do you???? I'm in the process of starting to set up a home flight sim system in the style of the Bell 222 A/B and any or all help I can get would be so very appreciated! My email address is: doublebender@cabletvonline.net Thanks, Tony Trout

Just Getting Started In Flight Simulation & I Have A Question...
Tony Trout replied to Tony Trout's topic in Home Cockpits
Here is another photo of what the cyclic looks like in the Bell 222A/B (the hand you see in the photo is the hand of the owner of the Bell 222B that was used as "Airwolf" and his name was Peter McKernan and he owned "JetCopters, Inc." which is where the hangar scenes in "Airwolf" - named "Santini Air" in the show - was filmed): Take Care, Tony T. P.S. I'm afflicted with "mild" Cerebral Palsy (thank You, God) and there are different levels from "mild" to "severe" (the last is where the afflicted is wheelchair-bound and usually doesn't have the ability to talk and walk. -
Just Getting Started In Flight Simulation & I Have A Question...
Tony Trout replied to Tony Trout's topic in Home Cockpits
Thanks for that link, friend. Unfortunately, since I'm disabled and on a fixed income, I don't have that amount of money that they're wanting. -
I'm new here and just getting started in flight simming. But, I need advice. First of all, I'm mildly disabled with Cerebral Palsy & Hydrocephalus but I'm also blessed because I am able to play several different instruments and I'm a singer, as well. However, not to stray too far off-topic: I'm wanting an "Airwolf"-type of flight sim setup (Bell 222A/B). I grew up watching that show and I have all four seasons on DVD (even though I don't watch the fourth season because it's so bad)!! I noticed that the MicroHelis shop has one thing I need - the collective (or throttle) and I'm wondering where would be the best place to look for the cyclic control that would match closest to a Bell 222A/B helicopter? If anybody could give me just a little bit of a push and some advice, I promise that it would be a big, big help!!! I've included a photo of the Bell 222A from the show, itself, a photo of Andrew Probert sitting on the flatbed trailer that contains what we fans called, "The Stage Lady", which Jan & Ernie (and later Jean Bruce Scott) would use as the actual helicopter and a side shot of the "cyclic" stick which, I'm betting, comes from the "Airwolf Guidebook" from '84. Thanks a bunch! God Bless, Tony Trout
