I don't even dare to imagine what would be the size of that map 😄

Whole earth technology has a true realistic curved terrain and by the Wags talk on your last video, we will fly from one to another map.

I know making these modules is not easy. No hard feelings on ED. I am just dreaming on some aircraft variety like IL2 offers it with the feeling of flight we get in DCS.
In exchange i could live with a little less in depth modeling of systems.
Something like WWII Flamig cliffs could be a huge moneymaker IMHO.

ED has no talk nothing about a WW2 FC, and no into your plans. On fact, I dont like that convert on a WT..... has better continue building FF modules. and more and more teams enter into DCS.

On fact has many "size" to expand WW2:

    • Missing teams centred on WTO size and missing war teathers as mediterranean and east front maps (By Ugra media / Orbx / OnReTech on a future), has only matter of time.
    • Missing a real UK 3rd party team to build Commonweal WW2 stuff, as others centred on Germany, Italy, France, etc. Stuff
    • A expansion on WW2 Assets pack as content with the PTO to improve WTO, and more on others teathers (ED show a T-34 on 2025 and Beyond video).

Remember, build modules has no a "balance", has a problem about the available info and other stuff to make cool modules.

Isnt it about time to get some more axis planes in the virtual skies?
I mean when was the last axis piston engine plane released?
In the meantime we get one allied plane after another without anything to put up against them....

Isit reall that much effort to for example make some variants of the A8 available?
Or a few more 109 variants?

    Allied:
    P51
    P47
    Spitfire
    Mosquito
    F4U
    I-16

    Soon:
Bearcat (or was it the hellcat)
LA 5 - what is this supposed to be flown against? Just to fly around in it i can get one in MSFS, cant i?

    Axis:
    BF 109 K4
    FW 190 A8
    FW 190 D9

    Soon:
Zero (probably will be 2 years from now)

    Tiny little imbalance IMHO.

Dont get me wrong. I love each and every plane in DCS. Its a great sim.
But there is simply far too little that can be put up against each other while maintaining ANY KIND of historical accuracy....

Thats just not understandable for me.

    Winger

ED has building the F6F Hellcat and the A6M5 Zero, with plans to make Battle of Britain Aircrafts and the Me262 on a future.

The start of WW2 aircrafts coming from ED as a "legend" series initialy by ED P-51D / Fw-190D9, no has a real WW2 scenery. Remember WW2 was planned by RRG Studios 3rs Party as a Standalone product outside DCS W, with totaly irreal aircrafts (Spitfire Mk IX, P-47D, Bf-109K-4, Fw-190A8, Me262), as a Kickstarted with end defunt, and ED recover the proyect and complite many of modules. On fact, ED has continue make "legends" as Mosquito, and now has start to centred on PTO WW2.

The other 3rd parties centred on WW2 aircrafts has:

    • Magnitude 3: the actual WW2 F4-U Corsair (has plans to more WW2 modules on a future, surely PTO).
    • Octopus-G: I-16 type 24, and on production La-7 and the future Po-2, centred on Soviet East Front modules.
    • No more 3rd partes has claimed WW2 modules yet. And actualy, only ED has intent centred on "historical accuracy" with Marianas WW2 1944, and expected move to BoB 1941 on a future.

Build acurated modules has a complex work, and no, that not easy. If someone like make some more content, recomend build a 3rd party team centred only on WW2.

I just posted a set of screenshots and a track that clearly show it doesn't.

Nevermind, I dont check them when I refloat the post.

    2 minutes ago, Northstar98 said:

Yes, they are the exact same model. The one in the ED directory was taken from the SA assets.

Meanwhile has the exact model, ED has the total control about add and implement new weapons and funtionality (by 3rd parties).

  5. 3 hours ago, Northstar98 said:

The PG-16V is already implemented and can be seen being fired by "Paratrooper RPG-16".

The Mk 46 appears to be from the South Atlantic assets (the exact same model is present in that directory too, with its inaccuracies - like the nose that's the wrong shape and the rear-most propeller that's a lot smaller than it should be).

Has two Mk-46 into DCS directories, one on the SA assets pack SouthAtlanticAssets directry and another on ED CoreMods > Tech > TechWeaponPack directory. RAZBAM was unable to implement a ASW Weapon (has no a funtionality on the core to make a active/passive guided torpedoe). I talked about the ED TeckWeaponPack, none about 3rd party weapons.

  6. 8 minutes ago, Rick Mave said:

there has indeed been a Transall mod so far, by @damienntrix as far as I can tell but it is the french NG version. The french R and german D versions are missing and the liveries present on the NG version available with Damien's mod pack are of relatively poor quality. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/263509-pack-8-helicos-ia-armee-francaise-diverses-structures-17-vehicules

Meanwhile that lisk can be use by Modders to build Mods, I only put on them the official ED/3rd Party content.

    Correct, missing many countries here:

Hello currenthill, first of all, thank you for your feedback and an even bigger thank you for your asset pack. Great work!
My problem is that I miss a bomb truck like the TU-95 or TU-16 from the cold war era on the red side.
The Kh-101 and Kh-555 are hyper-modern and don't really fit into cold war scenarios.
I definitely don't want nukes in DCS.
I think the TU-95M with the massive FAB-9000 bomb or the 48 FAB-250 bombs would be something special. As for missiles, it would be possible to use the Kh-22 you mentioned.
Are the TU-95M and TU-95MS so different, or would it be possible to have both in DCS without too much effort?

    greetings Blackbahia

FAB-9000/-5000/-3000, BRAB-6000, etc as other weapons, need implemented first by ED (on fact, implement weapons has on your side). a Tu-95M will build by currenthill as a new assets.

The new TU-95MS from CH is great and a win for the core game., but I would like to see more weapon options. I'm missing free-fall bombs or older cruise missiles like the AS-4 ‘Kitchen’ so that the TU-95MS can also be used in Cold War scenarios. Could there be something coming in the future?

Tu-95 has 4 versions, based on the mod and refits by years... and the MS has 4 subversions, and never has carried bombs.

    The Currenhill version:

This is just a personal opinion but I find the way Heatblur communicates quite frustrating: giving us a trailer and some screenshots 4 years ago and then nothing... Even if the plane is taking longer than expected to develop, it would be nice to have some news on the progress (other screenshots or messages from the developers about their work). We are all looking forward to having this beast in our hands!! In any case, thanks to HB for their work.

EFA was show on 2025 and Beyond video...

We’re also growing - and are excited to talk about the A-6E and F-14BU being in active development and the imminent release of the F-4E Phantom II for Microsoft Flight Simulator! This is in parallel with, of course, the continued quest to scale the colossus that is the Eurofighter.
