KK yeah thanx not to savy to all this firewall stuff.

As far as i know the modem is all we have don't have any other(router) etc plugged into this or our cable modem all pc/laptops are me plugged straight into the cable modem an the laptops are all wireless. I un-installed Norton an re-installed MSE's than checked my firewall an DCS World/LOMAC was'nt even list as an exception in the list so I added them. By default there set to home/work(private) an other is public. But I notice that other games I have on this pc are set to 1st option Home/Work(Private) but connect normally. Also last nite i found the the control panel access that manages the gateway settings thru my internet provider. Do i need to change somthing in there to what u referenced in the above post? I went to 192.168.0.1 an it took me to that Network gateway. Will look around a bit found a port forwarding tab but not sure as have nvr messed with this stuff b4.

Ok will try again tomorrow(too late now). Think windows firewall it was set to allow DCS World as that was one of the first things I checked an saw that Norton managed it. I might even uninstall Norton an re-install MS E's as I had that b4, an than try again an dbl check eveything. Will post results tomorrow. Thanx again. Kirk

Ok tried it with disabling auto protect an smart firewall disabled on Norton=nogo. Submitted a ticket to support http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/support/21930 but no response an have nvr gotten a response from support on previous request. I have a cable modem that came with cbl internet i got awhile back. I dunno if the IP address they gave me to a control panel if theres somthing in there i need to unlock or if I need to open somthing on my computer. Any help would be really great as I like to host games etc but have nvr been able to for any on DCS World. Thanx, Kirk

Have tried off an on since A10c beta to host but, as far as I can tell everything is set right. Running off a cbl modem so not sure about ports for that or not. Anyways have Norton managing my firewall an it's set to allow. Not really sure what else to do. Host set to internet..check Firewall set to allow DCS...check ports....??? Maybe s1 can run thru what they do to set up there computer properly might help:music_whistling: Tried searching an one thread i got a lil info seemed to get overrun with flaming so left it. Looking at Norton firewall manager ann see what appears to be alot of inbound/outbound default set to block. But not sure which one manages the one to allow mp hosting. Any help/advice would be much apprciated, thanx. Kirk

Had this problem awhile ago with the A10. Rudder/nose steering seems to be stuck as a/c wants to turn, have searched an cant remember how to resolve the issue. though i think it was resetting a key somewhere in controls. Any help..thanx.

Guess I'm a redl DCS World an start from fresh. Re-install/update failed again.

Get errors when updating in SP startup. I'm using an older install. Do i need to redl everything an install everything from these recent dl's or is it possably somthing else causing the update to fail. Installed DCS World,A10c,BS2,CA(from flash drive). Just recently installed DCS World... DCS_World_en_1.2.1.5970 After install i installed everything else(A10c,BS2,FC2,CA) except the new Huey released today. I than try to auto update via DCS World SP an get the following error...note the installs i have I saved to memory stick months ago an are @ same version as the DCS World version I'm trying to update so i can install the Huey. check("C:\Call911\AppData\Local\Temp\DCS\b5\b5c01c70ef247a2e649c84ba2034d7e6106c2a24c07368f256a8b27534edd"):(3)The system cannot find the specified path. Edit..Should I just update World first than install everything after?

Gotta love ppl bashing a game thats not even out of Alpha. Guess ppl need to read too as they missed the whole Alpha part. Oh well there loss. An agree will take ArmA over BF anyday, even in ALpha state. Actually wish BF4 would release tomorrow so all these COD/BF kiddies would leave an go play that an leave us serious simmers alone.

Another game catred to the COD crowd, looks like there copying the time frame as COD too a slap in the face/lets take there $ again attitude. Series died for me after after BF2. Not gettin my money.

Would definatly get a server for this but no dedi server files:cry_2: Are there plans maybe in future for one to be released? Also try hostin but either my servers does'nt appeal to players or there connection issues. Not sure.
