Will the Beta use up one of my activations?
Ragtag replied to WarriorX's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I believe the beta can and will upgraded to final when time is due. So the one activation used will stay in use. No need to activate again when final version is released. -
Wow, i'm surprised if this is true. That's a big step backwards imho. I'm about to buy new HOTAS for A-10... i was looking at the X65 which is available and the TM A-10 HOTAS, but the latter isn't available anywhere here unfortunatly not even pre-order. But if the X65 doesn't have a two stage trigger i'm definatly going for TM's A-10 HOTAS but i might have to wait a few months extra for it *siiigh*

Doesn't X65 have a two stage trigger like the X52 Pro has?

Unless you use a very old norton AV, right click norton icon in tray and click on "Turn on silent mode". Now norton won't bother you :)

My first sim was "Their Finest hour" :) I think i owned almost every sim worth playing, land, sea and air, during my life but the sims i played the most are Janes F/A-18, Janes AH64D and IL2. I used to be in the 131st with F/A-18. Really looking forward to Storm of War Battle of Brittain :)

Nice, thanks :)

X52 and X52 pro Profile for DCS A-10C
Ragtag replied to Ragtag's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks :), Working on it and i'm going to remove a couple of obsolete commands and add a couple of more. Audible warning is also TMS short left. -
ED said they will be releasing a special update tool for the beta. They also said beta updates every 2 weeks. So about a week or so untill the first update :)
-
I am pretty sure it will be released this year. We don't have the most rescent code by far.
-
Close the canopy and the pilot slides down his helmgoogles in external view, and vice versa :)
-
Pre-order and get the beta. Even though there are bugs and some functions not complete, it's still a ball playing it. And by the game is out you have learned the controls and systems, ready to take off into battle :) I'm glad that DCS made this offer.

Second mission in the first campaign crashes when hitting Pause to start on the runway. Can't continue campaign. I'm getting this error:
-
I believe there is a "bump" somewhere along the Nellis runway. Was taking off as normal when nosewheel suddenly broke right off. I didn't do anything special. I was just running along in a smooth take off heh :)

X52 and X52 pro Profile for DCS A-10C

Nothing wrong with the speedbrakes. The slider must be in the mid posisition after you set the speedbrakes in the wanted position or it will block all other commands. -
X52 and X52 pro Profile for DCS A-10C

Thanks and enjoy :) -
Wrong. You can set "run as admin" permanently in that tab without setting any other compatibility settings. This way you don't have to right click and run as admin every time you want to play.
-
Yes, that to. When installing A-10 make sure you install additional 32 bit files to :)
-
Both the trackir software and game has to be started with admin rights. It's abit weird because some games don't need this. Right click the icons, go to "compatibilty" tab and turn on "run this program as an administrator".

I agree with some here. The simulation genre needs every player it can get, either hardcore or arcade players. Giving both categories what they want will keep the genre alive. Not every gamer wants to buy a game where a 653 page manual has to be read :) I prefer realism but hell, even i use the auto sequence in BS heh :)

Posted this first in the beta forums but i figured some of you guys that don't have access there yet might want this to :) Hi everyone. I made a profile suitable for both X52 and X52 Pro and set up to work with stock Keyboard settings. Rotarys are not assigned and you may assign these to your liking in controller options. Not 100% tested since i'm still in the learning process of the game :) Profile pics included as a single PDF. I tried to stay close to the real thing as possible. Added some extra stuff to free buttons. Set up for TrackIR Centering. Thanks to everyone for ideas and help. Also thanks for providing the command list and to the dude that made the originally profile graphics :) Great forums for Combatsim lovers :) Download here: http://files.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/406/ Updated profile 12/10-10: Fixed reversed pinky fwd/aft for X52 Pro Fixed reversed boat fwd/aft for X52 Pro Updated 21/10-10: Removed obsolete "Reset Audible Warning" from launch button. Added "Reset Trims" to launch button (Shift state).

It's a CAS fighter designed to handle quite alot of damage. As Wags already said...wide wheel base and so on. It's designed to be "easy" to bring home with or without damage :)

Here you go: http://www.gethome.no/raggz/A10C.X52pro.rar Same procedure as SFJackBauers. Just converted the pr0 file. LUA stays the same. Works fine when loading in options. Thanks for the profile SFJack :) -
Thanks :)
