When the AI Wingman shuts down their engines, the A10c opens its Maintenance doors when viewing the external view. Can the Players A10 show the same level of detail, i.e. 'maintenance mode'? Looks good.

If your flying with Wingmen this happens. Doesnt happen if you fly solo.

You need to change your aircraft heading/altitude a little bit to re-align the weapons guidance sensors. Then swing back in on target. The weapon should then be ready to launch.

Trim...Can I make it less sensitive from default values?
JujuMan replied to JujuMan's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I agree 100%, however, reading my earlier post implies the opposite...LOL. Must be having a 'Senior Moment'. -
Hi All, Seriously looking to start flying online in DCS A10C. I have been involved in Falcon 4 since its release and more recently DCS, started off with KA-50 and now have moved on to the A10C. I am in my 40's, use a good spec PC and a very good Broadband connection. Flying hours are usually 19:00 hours GMT onwards most days. Looking for a friendly Sqaudron to learn and fly with, I can be both serious and Light-hearted as the mood permits. Where do I start? Recommendations please. Thanks

I tweaked the atc sound file folder to omit those calls....;)

Getting an AI unit to scout/report and give coordinates?
JujuMan replied to hachiman's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
If the pilot is calling out a bullseye position you can easily slew the TAD cursor to the position and obtain the co-ordinates or place a Mark point on the TAD. I have not had time to see the video example you refer too. If you want to create that, the mission editor advanced waypoint options is where the magic is. -
Getting an AI unit to scout/report and give coordinates?
JujuMan replied to hachiman's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
When you contact JTAC/FAC/AFAC they will give you co-ordinates that you can enter into the CDU. For further reading own this subject I suggest that you download the DcS A10c Graphical User Interface Guide, it covers in great depth on how to use the Mission Editor. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/documentation/ -
Getting an AI unit to scout/report and give coordinates?
JujuMan replied to hachiman's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Watch this carefully, slowly and see what he does. Its what i used to learn assigning FAC, AFAC duties to units. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YuLtagonGzg -
The rockets must be loaded with the LAU-168 to show correctly. If you use the LAU-31 it shows up as a minigun and ammo box. iirc.

Great news Wags, maybe in time for a Christmas release? Btw, is the old beta Nevada still available ?

What are the wind speed limitations of LGB ordinance?
JujuMan replied to JujuMan's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Thanks. This will help a lot. -
What are the wind speed limitations of LGB ordinance?
JujuMan replied to JujuMan's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Mmmmm, thanks for the input Eddie. Is there a reliable way of doing this or is it a matter of getting used to it? I would have no idea on how much 'lead aim' to allow for altitude and wind. Any pointers ? -
What are the wind speed limitations of LGB ordinance?
JujuMan replied to JujuMan's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
No, I have not done that, But, how would this effect LGB munitions? I thought they followed a laser pointer for guidance..... -
Whilst playing around with the Dynamic weather system, I noticed that my GBU-12's were missing the target with a 19kt wind over the target site by around 5 metres. Pickle altitude was 8000 ft, auto lase on and with a lase time of 12 seconds. How can I improve my hit accuracy in these conditions? Flying into the wind helped but again not 100% accurate.

Calibration Issues Logitech 3d xtreme Pro
JujuMan replied to Veckio's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
You need to 'Trim' the aircraft. This is a constant process. The joys of flight. Map your POV hat to the trim commands, it will be easier. -
'Air Refuel Control'

Perfect.

That's weird. I just press OSB10 and wait for the asterisks to go and come back. Also the white caution message in the lower left of the MFCD's extinguish. Any controller/keyboard conflicts affecting it? Changed anything recently.

Ah, thanks for that. Will have a dabble with that.

Alignment takes about 4-5 minutes on the CDU since a couple of updates ago iirc. I use the time to set up weapon parameters, tacan radios etc... Also time to make a cup of tea.;)

Hi All, Still learning so bear with me on this one....:smilewink: I am designing some training missions which include refuelling on the Tanker. Is it possible to have the Tanker show up on the TAD? If it is, how do I implement that in the Mission Editor.
-
Cheers Mower, you snuck in under my radar with that one.. Checking it out now...

Thanks for the reply. I am currently designing some missions that need to take on extra fuel from the available KC-135 in the mission. I didn't really want to start with full tanks, but just enough to get to the refuelling point with some extra in reserve if things get a bit tight. Are there any documents lurking around that give fuel burn data by weight and altitude? How do the mission planners calculate fuel in the real world? Curious....
