video suggestions
In the last weeks I have built two systems. My older system is an 6600 quad on an asus with 2 8800gtx's. Watercooled. My new systems are I7-950, 12g, asusp8p67 deluxeb ram, 2 1tb wd sata3 black drives, evga x58 ftw3, 40gb ssd, 1200w ps, evga 580 vid, hp dvdrw. The newest is a I7 2600K, 8gb ram, asus p8p67 deluxe mb, 2 6850 ati's in crossfire, 1kw ps, 2 1tb sata3 wd drives in raid 0, 64gb ssd, 2 dvdrw's. Both are in coolmaster tower cases with extra fans. Components were specially chosen and matched. If interested I will give explaination for these choices. Also both run win7 ultimate.
Sitting in the garage never fired up lays a I7 920 with 2 4870x2 and related equipment and is watercooled. Will fire up next weekend. Also my retired amd with 2 7800gtx's and equipment. I also have about 20 other systems that I never had the heart to get rid of. Many equipped with the old but interesting Voodoo line of video cards. I also have over 100 flight sim programs from TRS80 FS1 to the latest along with the related hardware and controllers.
I would like to build a pit with 2 touch screens...one on the left above the throttle and the other on the right. Above this about eye level I would place my 3 19in monitors...I would like to use my 32in in the middle but I have had trouble using it with my triple head to go device. I do not know if I could use one port from the 6850 and drive the triple head and still use the other 3 ports on the remaining 6850's to drive the touch screens and maybe the 32in>>>????
I have just purchased a tracker 5. I have a collection of instrument and controls systems to hack if needed. I would rather purchase the interface systems than try and do this myself. If worse comes to it I see a VRinsight pro pit that may fit the bill..sorta.
Any suggestions or questions??????
