  1. Hello @crispy12 and @Scott-S6, thanks for all these informations. I am thinking about buying a new base and I am undecided which way to go between the basic Orion 2 or the MFSSB version. I would like your thoughts about a couple of questions.. I would use that base mainly for DCS but not only for the Viper module... I also fly the Viggen, A-10, F/A-18 and the Strike Eagle. How suitable would you think it would be for these modules, apart for the Viper ? Speaking of grips... I own the TM Warthog right now, plus the TM F/A-18 Grip. I read somewhere on this forum or in Reddit that 1) if you connect a TM Grip (through the WW conversion kit) you won't be able to set key commands on SimApp software, and 2) someone said that because of the weight of TM grips, they are really not recommended for the Orion 2 base... So, in the end...if I decide to go with the WW Orion 2 base, which one you think is best suited ? Thanks !
  2. Thank you very much for these details ! I have found one adapter from one user of this forum and I am waiting for the the shipping quite. In any case these infos are very useful! Thanks !
  3. Same here, Eventually could it be possible to know the dimensions of the metal "screw" and the cable wiring connections ?
  4. Never mind... I saw the size of the smaller T5 - 4-Way Plus Center Pushbutton Mini Trim, but its too small to fit in the FA18 grip trim site... Thanks anyway.
  5. @DeadMeat Great thread and infos ! One question regarding the TM F/A-18 Grip. Do you think it could be possible to substitute the 8 (or 4) -way trim switch to a similar one that add the press function too, like in the F-15E ? Do you know the P/N of the equivalent OTTO T4-0016 but with the PRESS option ? I looked at OTTO website but struggling to find the right P/N for such a switch. Thanks !
  6. So this basically confirm that both Warthog and Otion 2 work the same way. Thanks.
  7. Hello all, Currently I use the TH Warthog stick and throttle, but I plan to buy the Orion 2 10th Anniversary F-15EX throttle, since I bought this module. A couple of quick question to users who know both devices: Are you happy with the Orion 2 F15EX throttle ? I understand correctly that both throttles work exactly the same in regard to the cutoff/ idle position ? If I am not mistaken, this position is not part of the analog axis but "command" is sent to the PC as a button press. I am right that both throttles act in the same way ? Thanks.
  8. Well, the title say TM HOTAS Warthog profile...

  10. No. The files that were giving me problems were the two DLL files that were on this folder: X:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\_downloads and were dated 9th of June. When BitDefender warned about these two files being infected, instead of moving them to quarantine, I opted to delete them. After that, I run the repair option of DCS. After that I updated DCS (there was NO update) Then I started DCS without problem. No more warning about virus. Checking the two DLL files in their respective plane folder, both of them are dated 8th of June. No problem so far.
  11. Update DCS and then try again. For me it worked.
  12. Have you performed a "Repair DCS World" before launching DCS ?
  13. Rudel, could you check please when these two files were last modified on your install? X:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\CoreMods\aircraft\C-101\bin : C101Core.dll X:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\CoreMods\aircraft\Mirage-F1\bin : MirageF1Core.dll Mine, now are from the 8th of June. Early this morning, the 2 files in question ( that were reported as a virus) were listed as last modified on the 9th of June. Not sure it had to do with false positive. After deleting them and repairing DCS, now they look ok and no more warnings from Bitdefender.
  14. I just deleted both with Bitdefender and then did a DCS repair. All good now, checked the actual two files on the bin folder of the two planes and the version there is from the 08.6.2023. The two files causing the virus warning were from 09.6.2023. Apparently all is good now.
  15. Same here. Affected are two files: -MirageF1Core.dll -C101Core.dll Bitdefender as well

    Radar modes

Hi everyone! I would like to ask if there is a list of all the radar modes that will be simulated in the F-15 E Strike Eagle and eventually if there is a description of their functionality. Thanks!
  18. Have a look at this file : https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3318384/
  19. Of course you can do it, but It wouldn't be my plane of choice... mainly because you are pretty limited in the amount of ordnance you can carry and the mix of it... Basically you are limited by 2x A-G guided weapons (or 4x BK90) and a combination of gunpods/ ecm /chaff pods.... To me with this limitation, you either go for the planned TGT or go out hunting for TOO. Don't think I would do both on one mission...
  20. You describe perfectly what is all the excitement of flying the Viggen ! The only "drawback" I could say is that it is really not a plane to go for target of opportunity... basically all must be pre-planned. But in a way it give you a sense of tranquillity...because you know what your task it is and all is planned accordingly.... And...if you see trees below you, you're definitely flying too high...
