  1. @IronMike One question.... the comment Heatblur made in the past about the "next" module would benefit from the work done with the Viggen and Tomcat experience ( A-G radar, Multicrew, Variable sweep wings) is supposed to be the Eurofighter ? Because, to me (maybe I missed something) the Eurofighter has none of those peculiarities...maybe only the A-G radar... Just to understand if that comment was related to this module or not. Thanks
  2. Don't remember the name...a couple of French servers....one was about training...but no BK90 available. Will try Buddyspike ! Thanks.
  3. Hello, yesterday wanted to "refresh" my "skills" flying this magnificent plane and specifically in regard to dropping the BK90 weapon. It is my impression or the BK90 is practically non existent (removed) on Multiplayer servers ? Logged in on some servers and this weapon was not available from the re-arming and refuel window... Did I miss somthing ? Thanks
  4. Maybe I didn't payed attention, but why the Harrier guide is not available ? Thanks

Ciao, ricerca veloce...ho trovato questo video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1a7G8TQU17CKTTqOnALFNZStGYcbTEKrM/view https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=255718 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PPW8_qycbtP0LvpRIybt4Uw2iq2sHYzO/view Spero possa aiutare
  6. While it may be interesting at first look, since the EW environment is not simulated at all on DCS, it doesn't make much sense in developing this version. You can already provide SEAD with F/A-18 and eventually with F-16... It make much more sense and frankly will be more exciting going for "deep" strikes, at night, low level, full throttle, on TFR...(see, the IDS/GR version). Its almost like wishing for a P3 Orion when there's no sub's in the game.
  7. Ah...I see it...i believed that RADAR was more precise than LD. Yes, I know where that switch it is:
  8. Thank you, that's what I wanted to know. When you say the altimeter has to be in LD mode, you mean in the flight plan part when you are not flying low level ? Assuming your entire flight plan is low level flight (below 600m), one can set the altimeter to RHM, right ? Thanks
  9. Hello, I love the Viggen, it is an amazing plane...one of the most exciting to fly and I am quite comfortable in flying it. One thing that I have not yet understood is when you have to set the QFE... Let suppose you create a flight plan....it contains 7 waypoints and waypoint 5 is the target. I see in the knee board that each waypoint has his QFE value.... Do you guys set the correct QFE when going for that waypoint ? Do you correct each time the QFE ? Or you set the target QFE after passing the IP ? Can someone advise me on what the correct way to use it should be ? Thanks

    F-15E?

I mean what kind of "in depth" we will hopefully get in regard of operating modes etc...

    F-15E?

Any info about what kind of A-G radar functions we will get and how much detailed they will be? Thanks
  12. There are a couple of errors in the latest release of the Mirage. In the PRE-FLIGHT procedure, at page 63, the steps after point 8 are incorrectly depicted in the pictures. Step 9 (parking brake), in the picture is indicated as step 10. Same with step 10 (BINGO selector), indicated as step 11 in the picture. Thanks for these exceptional guides !
  13. Here for the CH-53: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=189130
  14. The problem is you used the wrong code. The actual code is 91XXX. (where XXX is the desired altitude) Then you have to put the switch VALB-STD on VALB. If you let the switch on STD, the weapon will "fly" at the standard parameter which is 60m. I suggest you take a look at these two files, they are quite helpful: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2380288/ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3126659/
  15. Thanks for the picture KTFBGB, I think its safe to say that nobody here is realistically expecting a true "as real" ground radar system... just a "workable" solution, that give you the different operating moeds... even if is not realistic at 100%. As in some other aspects of DCS (EW for example..) Instead of nothing, I would gladly like to have something "workable" like the one in BMS. (since somebody mentioned BMS..) Just my two cents...
  16. McDonnel Douglas F-15E: https://www.raytheon.com/capabilities/products/apg82v1 "Aircraft equipped with the APG-82(V)1 AESA radar can simultaneously detect, identify and track multiple air and surface targets at longer ranges than ever before. The longer standoff range facilitates persistent target observation and information sharing for informed decision making. This superior battlespace awareness supports greater tactical mission capability. The result: greatly increased aircraft-aircrew effectiveness and survivability. Lockeed F-35: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AN/APG-81 "Capabilities of the AN/APG-81 include the AN/APG-77's air-to-air modes, plus advanced air-to-ground modes, including high resolution mapping, multiple ground moving target indication and track, combat identification, electronic warfare, and ultra high bandwidth communications.[2] The current[when?] F-22 production radar is the APG-77v1, which draws heavily on APG-81 hardware and software for its advanced air-to-ground capabilities." Northrop B-2: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AN/APQ-181 "The AN/APQ-181 is an all-weather, low probability of intercept (LPI) phased array radar system designed by Hughes Aircraft (now Raytheon) for the U.S. Air Force B-2A Spirit bomber aircraft. The system was developed in the mid-1980s and entered service in 1993. The APQ-181 provides a number of precision targeting modes, and also supports terrain-following radar and terrain avoidance" Yep...some very very expensive planes that were fitted with specific radar devices, that actually are not used in real life...just for the saking of spending money.... Right. Try to fly with the Viggen without using the ground radar for correct navigation errors or finding ships.... I see the problem and difficulty in developing a "credible" G-R for each DCS module that need it... I get that, but from here to say that, "in fact in real life it is not used anyway", just to justify the fact that this system is missing, its like putting your head in the sand... Just my two cents..
  17. Now its clear ! Thank you very much ! Of course it would have been nice to be able to select the pattern in relation to the waypoint...less work to do when starting an attack run. :)
  18. Ah ! That's what I wanted to understand. Now is clear. Basically, set the area pattern before release. Thanks !
  19. Hi! Thank you for the help. Yes, sorry, by TGT I mean the "M" waypoints. On the situation I mention above, I was thinking, for example, of a flight plan lime this : LS,B1,B2,B3,M4,B5,B6,M7,B8,B9,L1. When you say that BK90 pattern is not connected with waypoints, you mean "B" waypoints ? I was referring to the B4 and B7 buttons of the Ck37, which in this flightplan, represent the two targets waypoints. So the procedure would be as indicated above, but the B button of the first target would be the B4 and the second the B7. Is that right ? Thanks !
  20. Hi guys, I have one question in regard as when to input the desired area pattern in the TAKT function of CK37. It is possible (recommended) at start-up just after 9099+LS ? just after the last waypoint before the TGT ? How would you do if, let say, want to attack two targets, each with two BK90 and each TGT with a different area pattern ? This is what I presume the procedure it will be, correct me if I am wrong: at start-up, after REF/LOLA 9099+LS, I press the B button of the first TGT, TAKT, IN, put 922+LS, OUT, go to AKT/POS, then choose the B of next TGT, TAKT, IN, put 921+LS, OUT, go to AKT/POS. Is that correct ? Or you will do these steps right between last waypoint and TGT ? Thanks for any input or suggestions !
