  1. You want to learn how to stop A-10 bombing Talibans? This is probably very classified:smartass::music_whistling:
  2. It's kind of strange, in FC2 the cannon effects look like night effects during daytime, but in DCS;A-10C there is no night effects at all, only lights up the nose a bit, but no tracer effects.
  3. If you use TrackIr, you will need GTX580. Edit; using Dell 30" and GTX580 now :) ,and a i7 950 or better is recommended. ( a oc 930 would probably work fine too)
  4. I think I know why so many fail at taxi start, the HMMWV accelerate to 11 knots from waypoint 0, and then slow down to 3 knots and up to 5 and then 11 until end. Maybe it speeds up too fast to keep 20m?
  5. They use failure statistic for russian planes?
  6. I'm not sure how ED calculate the temperature layers, but here is an example. Picture below, you can see temperature change up to first 11Km is very linear. With increasing height, air temperature drops uniformly with altitude at a rate of approximately 6.5° Celsius per 1000 meters. I asume this would be useful to know for setting temperatures in different layers. Figure from http://www.physicalgeography.net/fundamentals/7b.html
  7. Not sure if ED allow Lua files, but I'll try. Invalid File, sorry. Never mind, nomedplume got it.
  8. No idea where to find drag index or OAT, but i read plane was at 70% max load, 60% fuel, no load at all. I guess 10% is gun ammo, 414kg. Edit; I removed the ammo, and went down to 50% fuel, and tested at 10000 feet, only mach 0.57. It should be 0.75 both at sea level and max height.
  9. The larger wing area should make it handle easier than the Su-25T, so not surprised of that. But it also should make it easier to go higher, atm Service ceiling in game is 10000m ( about 32000 feet) at mach 0.75, according to encyclopedia. But after the hypoxia problem was fixed in 1.106, and I could try it up there, it only get to mach 0.59. Also when i read wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairchild_Republic_A-10_Thunderbolt_II, where it states Max ceiling 45000 feet, it seems that the A-10C is underpowered at high altitude.
  10. You can get prepaid card too, no need to worry about low income. http://www.bestcreditcardtips.info/
  11. PayP(irate)al, are too greedy, or would you like to pay extra 5 dollars to use them? AFAIK they take 8%, and I used to think brokers take too much with the 2% they get.
  12. Would be nice to know if this is the standard in DCS too, X band for ground, and Y band for air?
