  1. Then it's not a bug then. Just not needed.
  2. Maybe generator power switch should provide power to fuel pumps, atm it only turn on fuel flow dispays.
  3. Just that I forgot to turn generator power switch on, and did a ramp start without notice anything strange, APU oil temperatures not modeled, or just takes too long to heat up?
  4. SSD is fun and worth it , if i click fast I can open mission editor in just 12-14 seconds.
  5. So it's basicly possible to to do a normal ramp start without using generator?
  6. Could not see this in 1.1.0.9 preliminary changelog. Known bug? Can start engines now, without APU Generator switch On.
  7. 1 - Game requires Steam. Yup, sad but a fact:music_whistling: 2 - Game is expensive on Steam. For europeans only exept UK and Russia, stay away from Steam shop! 3 - Game can be purchased elsewhere cheaper- Thank God for that! 4 - Steam is a scam... For europeans, exept UK that is:mad: Edit, and Russians, almost forgot you guys, sorry.:) Edit; Was in London last weekend, and logged into my Steam account, and it seem to me UK also pay in Euro, or do Steam keep it on old currency? (not original, was in dollars a few years ago) Another Edit; Isn't Steam owned by Valve?
  8. Maybe you take it too litterally, I started with 'Only problem I have with Steam THE BIG SCARY EURO SCAM :) (ok admit I added a couple words here ;)) And charging 50 Euro, same as 71.5$, (today) and the rest of the world pay 50$ or 30£, that sure seem like a scam to me. It's not my problem you have problem with space to put your DVD's. To me it's very convenient, if I deleted a game in my SSD, and want to play it again, I just install it from my DVD, and I still get upgrades/ patches from Steam. No need to wait hours downloading it again. I admit it's not my economy that bothers me, it's more principally how I feel about it. Why, they can buy the game more affordable in a local shop, totally legal. Some may force them to open a steam account to play them, but don't actually need to pay Steam. Before I learned about this I asumed that a product in steam was priced like most international internet shops do, some even give me a choice to select currency i would like to pay with. And it always came out right on calculator. So it's more like i asume many people like me trust/ed Steam to have a normal business model, not aggressive like it's now . And I asume when more europeans learn about this, they will feel the same. I know this is perfectly legal, it's not like I think something criminal is going on, so no worries:smilewink: On the other hand, If I said it something was a steal, would you demand why I came to that conclusion too? So you asume that everybody in a expensive country have a lot more to spend, yeah, maybe if I moved away, and still get my paycheck:megalol: And you still think I should not buy something, just because i don't like the Steam price? I probably wrote it at least twice before, I get the overpriced Steam game from my local shop 30-40% cheaper, or a different internet shop, if it's even cheaper.
  9. I'm talking about the same game here, same publisher, different dealer, one is sold in a local store, and a copy for the same game in Steam. As you have pointed out, the Publisher with Steam have reduced costs, and therefor earn more each copy, even if retail price would be exactly the same. But for some greedy reason, the publisher agrees with Steam to charge even more, and Steam starts to loose customers. But the Publisher still get it's copies sold and still earn lots of money. Anyone who knows a little about economics would know how important it is to be competitive, but Steam for some strange reason don't. And you think people should still buy from Steam? Exept for the regions with a normal price, they won't be in trouble, but just because 3-4 countries in a region can afford it, doesn't make it right for the rest?
  10. Just because Valve and publisher get a bigger share of sales, doesn't mean the Developer gets anything more. My point is that Valve or Steam is loosing credibility, and eventually money, when I can get a game, that needs a Steam account, alot cheaper in my local store. I remeber in 2008 when I used to pay in US$ to Steam, and dollars was slightly lower than today, then I just because it was cheap I got a load of games I just didn't have tried before. But now they don't get any money at all from me, because it's lot cheaper anywhere else.
  11. So how about Kuwait, or Bahrain, they pay 500$ for a game there?
  12. If i only could manage to learn russian  I don't mind DVD, no waiting hours while downloading, usually a 10 min install and maybe a small patch. But usually people think downloading is cheaper, no printing manual or DVD to pay for. Never heard about google? Anyways a Steam support ticket usually don't respond the day you need them. You can still try the free demo, watch 3 trailers and screens, and then get the 299,95 dkk copy:music_whistling: Eh, you don't get more, and you-tube has even more free information on any Steam product. You seem to be a guy who would smile and say goodbye and walk out smiling from a shop in London, where you just bought a nice Jacket priced 200£, but when you pay they charged 350Euro because you live in a different european country, oh well. Is this right? I'm the only one who find this very strange?:(
  13. I really doubt Steam has a local server downloading games in each country, just because they made a menu to select download region. And their software developers are certainly not spread around, all of them probably work in USA. Also I really doubt Steam give a publisher any more than a different online shop in UK or elsewhere, because they don't provide service for all those other online shops for free.
  14. If it cost more to keep Euro region safe, than it cost in for instance Russia, then I would take your words more serious:cry: PS; I hope I NEVER have to register to Steam, any coming DCS games in the future, to use them.
  15. For X-box and ps3 maybe, I just bought Brink in Norway, DVD Nordic edition. 298NOK, + 17NOK postage, was in my mailbox 1.5 days later, total 315NOK Or 40 Euro, inkluded delivery. On Steam, still 49.99Euro.
  16. For a 'reason' ,Steam has put Norway into Euro region. Norway is not a member of EU, any second language is English, so it should be either UK or US like it was before. Anyways, I said I could get it lot cheaper in a local store too. So to me it sure smells like scam. Or really bad economics, if you ask me, and probably lot of others. And for the 'Hardware pricing' in Norway, we have much better consumer protection, warranty and such. So it has always been normal to pay extra. But that includes a higher 'service' to us.
  17. Doesn't mean that I'm stupid enough to pay too much :) I even save more from shopping here; http://uk.gamesplanet.com/ And thats only for a key, still have to register and download it in Steam.
  18. Only problem I have with Steam, is the Euro scam they are doing. They charge like 50 Euros for something I can get at my local store at about 35 Euro, in a DVD hardcopy. Scary they don't want to 'see' that 50 Euro is about 70 USD.
  19. Also depends a lot on resolution. I remember using 24" screen 1900x1200, was ok with Trackir5 and GTX460. But when i changed to a 30" 2560x1600, fps was still ok, but tearing was aweful. Changed to a GTX580, and it's quite nice now.
  20. A-10 will probably never face modern SAM's, SEAD will be taken care of with a lot better/faster planes, but A-10 will be needed/useful for many years, to mop up the rest:smilewink:
  21. Water upgrade? Watching the water in this simulator, makes me wonder why not have this too in DCS, like a real water option?
  22. Strange, happened to me too... WTF.trk
  23. Serial #: 02631 Location: Norway
  24. You want to learn how to stop A-10 bombing Talibans? This is probably very classified:smartass::music_whistling:
