  1. :) just quoting myself.
  2. I just wanted to add this extra info because a good landing starts always with a good aerodrome traffic circuit, and to do this you normaly fly turns.:smartass: And in RL (my experience:cessna 172 and 182) you always have to use rudder while you turn to stay at the same flightlevel. It doesn't matter if you turn 5° or 30°:) . Because if you bank you will lose lift. If you lose lift you hafe to compensate it with more tempo (to create more lift to the wings) and/or more lift/drag creating with the rudder while you turn. But this will again loose you more lift and this will effect in less horizontal speed ... and so on... So if you want to fly exact curves with same speed and altitude there is now way without using the rudder.
  3. 1)yes, very often. 2)yes, very often. I could not imagine how you could land smooth without rudder a normal aircraft.
  4. I have made a Modman file of Mitch789's tweak: http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?p=306851#post306851
  5. I have made a Modman5 addon of the "sky artifice coverage.zip". It is also downloadable at Lockonfiles.com. And again: many thanks to Mitch789/Antonio Gatti !!!! SkyColorMod 1.0.zip
  6. Thanks Mitch789! Nothing more to add.:)
  7. @Mitch789> Good job! ! @LazerPotatoe>Just open the Pdf inside the zip-files (sky artifice - general notes and screens.pdf):smilewink: .
  8. Thats a good reason to love this machine! And as a sidenote: When you meet something like this as your opponent at the battlefield you would probably not start to think about how beautiful or ugly it is - when you do so - it will be your last thought. :)
  9. I had just too much time on my hands: The original screen: I'm interested in your work- Don't be shy!:smilewink:
  10. OK! Here you go: There are four steps. 1. Separate the Different fields of depth from each other, in this example its the interior of the cockpit and the outer environment. I used the "Magic Wand/Zauberstab" (play with the values of it to get the best results) and the "Polygon Lasso/Polyagon-Lasso" for this task (press "shift" to grow your selection and "alt" to reduce it, while you are using the tools). Place separate regions on different layers by copy and paste. 2. Use the Filter "Gaussian Blur/Gauscher Weichzeichner" on the first layer/inner environment to simulate a focus outside the cockpit. Add missing regions at the second layer/outer environment with the "Clone Stamp/Kopierstempel". 3. Use the "Smudge/Wischfinger" and "Blur/Weichzeichner" to remove sharpness from the more distance parts of the background and reflections of the canopy. 4. Change the color settings. Therefor go to menu "Image-> Adjust-> Levels/Bild-> Einstellen-> Tonwertkorektur" and also rise the saturation "Image> Adjust-> Hue/Saturation/Bild-> Einstellen-> Farbton/Saettigung". Now you owe me a rep-point, warthogmadman987!:smilewink:
  11. Nice! but after a second look i still worry that the upper-wing marking is on the wrong side (when I take your own documentation as a basis).
  12. I think it is a DRM issue. You can read more about it in my first post of this thread (#13).
  13. Watch this! http://www.unf-unf.de/show1399.html
  14. I hope the video will help that we see more screens like this: http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=21380 Full Edit:Be aware that there is no voice-over and i use a German layout of Photoshop , but it is really basic and self explaining and you can easily identify the tools I'm using by looking at the toolbar. The filter that i used is "Filter- Gaussian Blur".For colorsettings i used "Image- Adjust- Levels" and "Image- Adjust- Hue/Saturation" And if you are still confused you can find a German-English translation of Photoshop here: http://www.oweiss.com/articles/photoshop-glossary.htm#Men%FC%20File%20/%20Datei Edit: There are four steps. 1. 15. I know that the article had been posted before, but everyone who thinks about getting vista without real necessity should read it. http://www.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~pgut001/pubs/vista_cost.html When you aren't patient to read it all then jump to the topics called: Unnecessary CPU Resource Consumption Unnecessary Device Resource Consumption Final Thoughts
  16. Use a modified "tiles cutter" for the throttle: Everything what you need is still "on board".
  17. If you are thinking of building the whole cockpit, this site can get very handy (if you don't know already). The fact that it is a F16 pit shouldn't bother you, because it contains very helpful plans and documentation about his controlling software and switches. One of the best documented home-cockpits i have seen on the net so far! http://www.xflight.de/f16
  18. Really a nice piece of wood! Keep us informed!
  19. I want to share a hi-res LockON desktop-icon for the use with rocketdock I've made.
  20. We have te "Apple Key":smilewink: :cheer3nc:  and it works similar like this: Sorry! I haven't found a gif with the "Apple key" instead of the "Ctrl" - maybe because Mac users don't have to explain everything each other(?)- it fells natural for them.:) Before we start a conversation about Mac v. Win, there are many sites at this very secret underground page I had found in the www. >http://72.14.221.104./< :music_whistling: PS: Do not give the link to all your dirty www. contacts , because this will be the beginning of the end of the www. like we want it. So please, don't do it! Thanks!
  21. Good point:thumbup: . This was one of the issues why i don't fly great online missions at hypperlobby anymore, because the tactical aspect of mission goes in the background.
  22. Now i have made a Video to show my new "Rocket Dock". Thanks to Cosmonaut- I don't know at all that something like this exist for windows-(maybe a leak of interested, because when I'm at work i manly use Mac)-now i wont miss it! And also thanks to Leafer - the recycle bin has gone :). Now my desktop can't get closer to a Mac. No more "fuzzy-fussies" on the desk!- OK, it is not the same-till i remove the right button from my mouse!
  23. After i had seen all your nice desktops, I decided to make a new one: Full You can grab the clean image here and the original here. (why my RocketDock don't show up when I'm making screenshots with FRAPS:( ?)
  24. You should post also your system (version of lockon, gfx, detonator) and maybe your graphics.cfg too, that other people can help you.
