  4. The article is a little polemic. But, Governments sometimes behave like this - Burning money...Sad but true.
  5. Nice one!:)
  6. Sometimes, when I really ****ed up(with work and other things that gone bad, you know..).I start FC and make several touch and go landings with the SU-25, ...and I fell much better!:)
  7. Please post a screenshot.
  8. There is a mod in the GermanLockonForum available. It's called 'FC1.12a SmokeTrail MOD V.2.0 fьr MiG-29'. It simulates, like the name already says, the specific smoketrails of the German Fulcrums. The mod adds two more weapon pylons in the fuselage behind the engines with smoke pods on it. The mod reduces also the intensity of the normal somketrails, to get a more realistic look, but also all other smoke, like from fire. 11. I know what you mean- creating real looking spotlights in photoshop can be a really hard task. There isn't any 'ready to use' filter available. You have to do most of it manual. You have to work a lot with Hue/Saturation, Selective Color,Gradient Overlay,Burn and Dodge (to name a few) and this on different layers with different opacity. Here are two links to give you a hint what to do: http://screaming-art.com/t_spotlight.php http://www.photoshopcafe.com/tutorials/Spotlight/spotlight.htm Please understand that I can't give any clearer answer, because I haven't seen the image you are working on.:)
  12. Please post a RL picture that shows similar effects that you want to receive after editing in PS. Maybe i can help you out with that, after seeing what you are talking about.
  13. http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?t=21379 This thread will give you a good answer.
  14. Hi! Try this link. http://www.slovnik.cz/
  15. You won't regret it! I use a modified one by my self for LockOn and FS9 in combination with a X45 and a ruder . You have the possibility of programming it with the Saitek Profile Editor without getting problems with any other device you are using.
  16. I hope this will solve your problem.
  17. Sorry, I can't help you to get the 'MS Sidewinder Game Voice' work properly but I use a program called 'Flight Assistant 2.1' manly for FS9 (for great jets) but also for LockOn. It's freeware and it works very well for me, maybe you give it a try. 'Flight Assistant is a program that provides a virtual co-pilot for flight simulation enthusiasts. You can give commands using a microphone which the co-pilot executes then. The program works in combination with every flight simulation. Requires MS Speech SDK 5.1 (SAPI). By Timm Linder.' Download: Flight Assistant 2.1 MS Speech SDK 5.1
  18. A article of a navy test pilot who had the possibility to fly with the flanker, from 1999 -but new to me. Contains a lot of info about the handling. Really worth to read! http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3897/is_199908/ai_n8862137/pg_1
  19. New Update! First Rollout
  20. Really nice screen shot edit!
  21. Warning! Ironic contend! I don't want to be too harsh, but I'm in an ironic/funny mood today :). If i understand you right you will do something similar like taking a weight of 1ton (full shadow) and than painting '100kg'(planar) on top of it, and than you hope that the worker(GFX/CPU) that has to lift it will behave like it is ten times lighter?! In other words: You want to make your computer believe that he renders a simple planar shadow instead of a full one without fps dropping? :music_whistling: ...I think, there is no way to trick the computer this way. (Please correct me if I have understood your question wrongly. And please inform me directly if you or someone else finds a solution to do that, because I have some plans for serious business. ;) )
  22. Second Photoshop tutorial Enhancing the environment and adding heat blur. Download This tutorial takes 32 minutes. Be aware that there is no voice-over and i used a German layout of Photoshop , but it is really basic and self explaining and you can easily identify the tools I'm using by looking at the toolbar. So you can turn on any music you like :) . Orginal Screen Photoshoped There are four steps: 1.Enhancing the environment Add clouds with the Burn/Nachbelichter and edit it with the Blur/Weichzeichner and the Smudge/Wischfinger. Edit The background (trees and buildings). Select them and edit the color with Hue-Saturation/Farbton-Sдttigung and Levels/Tonwertkorrektur and also with the Burn/Nachbelichter. 2.Enhancing the grass First select all areas and give a simple structure to it with Filter> Texture/Strukturierungsfilter> Texturizer/Mit Struktur versehen. If you are ready, use the Filter> Blur/Weichzeichnungsfilter> Motion Blur/Bewegungsunschдrfe (only a little to 90 degrees). 3.Adding heat blur First select regions that are not affected by the heat blur (the cockpit of the A-10 in the front) and place them on a second layer with copy and paste. Go back to the layer you want to modify. Select areas that would probably be affected by the heat of the engines. (I often use the menue Select/Auswahl> Feather/Weiche Auswahlkante. So I don't have to rework the borders so much.) Than use Filter> Distort/Verzerrungsfilter> OceanRipple/Ozeanwellen. Adjust the values to your needs. Finish it with your 'good friends' Blur/Weichzeichner and Smudge/Wischfinger. Unite both layers into one. 4.Light and finish I used Render/Renderingfilter> Lightning Effects/Beleuchtungseffekte> Soft spot/Weicher Strahler. Adjust the color with Adjust> Levels/Tonwertkorrektur and/or Adjust> Hue-Saturation/Farbton-Sдttigung. Add blur where it is needed with your 'good ol' friend'. Blur/Weichzeichner again. As a last step I added some graining to get away from a clean look with Filter> Noise/Stцrungsfilter. There are many ways to Rome, everyone has his own techniques and likings , this shows just mine. I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and I'm interested in your results! Please, share them with me.
  23. :) Moved the answer to the thread of Mitch789, because it is his find and I only asked for a solution and made a ModMan file of it. So please all reply to following link, that the information for others could be archived in one thread.:) http://forum.lockon.ru/showthread.php?p=307370#post307370
  24. Yes, thats right. The Mod works "global", that means that you will get the same sky color at all altitudes and all times. But it works and looks fine with all seasons between 8:00AM and 6:00PM(for me),not only for winter. The environment of air to ground missions can get really improved with this mod if you choose the wheater conditions well.
