  1. This is serious? :D You know what it reminds me? THIS: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Eye_probe_droid
  2. LOL :D By the way, I can't find any info after a quick google-search. Anyon has some info?
  3. Whoa, great pics! Thanks for sharing! Anyon noticed the 'thing' under the F-4, which looks like the combo of a Maverick and a Rockeye? It's not so clear to me, but it really looks like a Rockeye with some optics in the nose... What's that?
  4. In 1.12 mission , I picked up an F-117 HEAD ON at 10 km. I tried an S-300 vs F-117, and the result was a shot down Nighhawk 40km from the SAM...
  5. Dude, that idea..... Imagine an F-15 with DELTA wings. OMG, how fast would it be? 4Mach? :D
  6. Sorry, for OFF-topic.. Anyone of these is a great choice, but considering the scales of your country, the Flanker seems to be the optional one :) How many airbases do Brasil operating? ON: Do we know, (or able to know in futere) any results of the engagements of Red Flag?
  7. Hi there! Vekkinho! We 59thVAB are still planning, which day will be the inside and "outside" visit, but maybe both will be inside the base. If I know any exact info, I'll PM you :) Anyway, outside is 100% in "zero-day", which is Friday. Most pilots are taking a visual on the airfield's surroundings (nav-aid), and this day they ARE NOT limited in airspace nor speed, or altitude :) I hope you know what I mean (for those who not I'll post a picture tomorrow-work now) p.s: In our city, there is a festival in the center, called "vine-street". I hope there's no need to explain the purpose of the fest :D It last all night long. Cheers!
  8. I don't have to. I LIVE here :) Welcome Everyone, in our tiny, dusty, but hopefully friendly city! Looks like some very expected visitors are removed from the listing (like Rafale, A-10, F-15, and some) but the Finnish Hornet and the Spanish Typhoon will be great to watch! Ohh, and C-17 dynamic... Those things are HUGE. This year, our Air Force is 70 years old, so MANY airframes used by Hungary, will be displayed on static, in their old, but renewed paint schemes. These are Messerschmitt Bf-108 (no, not 9, it's 8; hovewer 109 was expected too), MiG-21BISZ, MiG-21 UTI, MiG-21MF "Cápeti"-paint, MiG-23, Szu-22, Mi-1, Mi-2, Ka-26.
  9. And if anyone sleeping it, it doesn't mean, it is for heat protection! Or if someone is sleeping in for heat protection. Or if it is for heat protection, it doeesn't mean errr... :D
  10. Thanks, GGTharos! One DCS question, I don't want this thread move way out the topic.... If ever a radar-equipped plane is implemented in DCS, do we get a truly modelled radar for it? (of course within the limits of LO and programming)
  11. True, I get it. One thing I don't understand so far: The expression of TWS only means that echos are analysed, and some sort of info displayed? About LockOn: I know, that fire control is not possible with SARH. But what is the mechanisation of the 120s guidance procedure (TWS)? I mean programming. Does it goes after the selected target, like it was locked on in STT? Or there's a data link between the radar and the missile, and whenever target info is available, it sends to the misile? (I would be surprised) I'm lost :) I don't get it. You mean that the radar "knows" the specified target information, it only doesn't display it? Clear.
  12. Since "TWS" is not Tracking while scan in Russian planes, it is not possible. Many times SNP and TWS are treated as the same, they are absolutely different. I could be probably called "Measure while search" because the box locked on a specific target only gives more detailed information about it, and does not tracking it. Therefore, if a bandit moves out of the radar's current sight, you loose the target. So there is NO tracking in the specific target. And as you said, SNP only gives you a greater situational awareness. Anyway, if the boxed target get within the 75% (or so..) of the selected weapon's range, the radar automatically switches to single target track.
  13. How cruel would be to put a Tu-16 rescue boat here?
  14. What's the point on that weapon? What can be seen in datalink or anything, which can be shoot at, over 400km ?????? Well, to shoot AFTER sg. it would be nice performance, but jees, you first have to see it :) Imagine you have a face-to-face launch at (let's say) 200km. Woo-hoo, beaming, and the launcher pilot can scaratch his head. And in that case, ECM is still nowhere. Anyway, do we know what is the concept of the guidance system? An active radar MUST be off-the-edge, if it pinpoints the correct target at a distance while cruising Mach10+. If the case is SARH, then the same problems that you have with all of them. Or some people knows sg. that I don't :) In the case of this missile, I have my cents on this one :) EDIT: Just an idea, I'm not physics spec but.... this could be used against satellites too, isn't it? I mean Mach12 is a GREEEEAAAT momentum... just thinking
  15. LOL tflash :D Anyway, the source on our 26 jet is correct, but we 'officially' have 14 of them flyable. And the MiGs will be gone until the end of 2009, and the same year Gripens will do QRA along with the MiGs. Those "Some countries" in the article 'are' only the Slovakian Air Force, and - as it is mentioned above - are NATO standardised.
  16. LMAO :D That made my day. This was like when 'Achmed the dead terrorist' sad "God dammit..." :D
  17. Su-34. Nice parade. I only hope it will always remain a 'parade'.
  18. It takes a few hours to mount an A2A weapon on it. It only needs some electronics, the rest is in the missile :)
  19. No, they look home-made... :D
  20. Totally agree :) If ET ever was here, he jumped away from this solar system ASAP, if he saw this brute fighting on the ground :D Anyway, this photsohopped picture with the article being so stern, is very frivolous :)
  21. And that's why they have orange missiles too
  22. You can guide LGBs with a wingman carrying any POD. This is how it started in 'Nam :)
  23. If you don't see smoke, it does not mean anything, it only appeares at low speed and/or high RPM.
  24. http://www.canit.se/~griffon/aviation/img/saab/gripen/gripen_recc-pod.jpg There you go. Under the fuselage. edit: BTW, it has to be a very small pod :D
  25. Hi there! Nice pics! This year Hungary will hold an airshow in August. Bulgaria was invited, and replied posivtively with Frogfoots (as far as it was posted in the event's webpage) But now, Bulgaria is completely removed from the list. Is there anyone from "inside" who can inform us about this sad news? :(
