  1. Currently I'm in the 150 Tricycle but I'll be moving to the 152 soon. Thanks for the tip:thumbup:
  2. One thing I'm finding after a few lessons is that I'm defiantly not used to the controls of the C150. Especially with the throttle and rudder. The rest I'm fine with but with the throttle and the rudder, when taxing, they are a bit touchy. You push the throttle in slowly, to get the right rpm, and you get nothing... nothing....nothing....nothing... 2000 RPM !!! instructor annoyed. It's my fault so I seriously need to practice. :joystick: :pilotfly:
  3. Makes me want to run a comprehensive scan :)
  4. Thanks for the explanation  Not too confusing.
  5. Wow that's some complicated stuff in that article. But I'f you think hard about most of the stuff it does make perfect sense... mostly. Opening the throttle doesn't necessarily increase airspeed but altitude because the wings are converting the extra energy into altitude. So to gain airspeed not altitude you must counter act the lift created by the wings. Is this right or am I an idiot?
  6. Just looked through that... Great stuff! thanks for the link  And again thanks all! greatly apreciated! Just thought of a great song for this :D One of the funniest song video's I've ever seen!
  7. Damn! that's one awesome air show at Leuchars.
  8. You haven't been watching my video's have you? :D

  10. Tnx
  11. Lol yer you can drop right through...
  12. It's been done loads before but I was bored. A ship landing in DCS Black Shark. I wasn't going to upload this one due to the shuddering and sound lag, caused by a glitch in the encoding process, but here it is anyway. Enjoy!
  13. Ha! similar incident I had online. But me and another guy were joining up after a mission to do a formation landing. I was around 500 above him and a little behind him, so I said i'd use the extra altitude=speed to catch up. This is when I noticed I was 'near' stall speed so I opened the throttle and dived down after him. I started to get a bit confused when he said he was at 250 , and I 'was' at ~170, but his plane was closing remarkably fast. Then I thought pilot tubes  So I looked down to turn the heat on but forgot the guy I was closing on. Took his right wind right off. He wasn't to happy about that. :music_whistling: It was either the battle damage I received from a triple A or the tubes were blocked as I was actually going a lot faster
  14. Probably the wind or an imbalance of your payload. Basically like your crabbing all the way through your mission. Start in the sky and make sure what you've described is happening, I'f so, see what side your plane is sliding to, then do a 90 degree turn and see which way again. and then 90 degrees again. I'f the direction changes ; its the wind. I'f not it may be your payload or your HOTAS is set up wrong causing rudder deflexion, or a problem in the sim.
  15. Look at that little bird clip! awesome!
  16. +1 I'd love DCS tornado GR4. A true fighter bomber. And ugly as S#?*$
  17. Download speeds are fine now but uploading speeds horrible. 6 hours to upload a 5 minute video?????:(
  18. I'm scared  But seriously I hear you. I've heard a few stories of similar incidents and I'l try to be careful, and slow, but not to slow.
  19. Like Mac said: Can I get one of those for my house?:D
  20. RAF Puma crashes http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-14042374
  21. CDU tutorial part 1 coming in the next 2 weeks when I have time to encode and upload it. Keep in mind the uploading and encoding take about 6 hours each. So it'l be up ASAP
  22. Na seems the same on the ground. You must be crazy :lol:
  23. Do you mean exactly 8:11? He put that aileron up as the speed brake was reaching its fully extended position. Giving the impression it rose very quickly.
  24. The only problem with things like that is... (with a system like mine anyway) Is the huge fps drop that comes with so many units at the start point before you've even started the mission. This causes the rest of the mission to be bad frame rate if you stay in the airbases' local area. I wish we had a 'zone' around the airbase where when you pass the boundary,or look into the boundary with your target pod, all the AI in the aerodrome is turned off to save fps, not just a low view distance.
