  2. Playing your campaign and enjoying so far, the russian EWR system is now down and the only remaining airbase they have is Tonopah so I am en route to victory. However I notice something, I don't know if it is an AI issue or if it is something you can arrange in the mission editor : The bomb loaded on the mirage 2000 for Strike mission are Mk82 wich need to be dropped in CCRP in the mirage. This is what I do and I stay well above the close air defense. However the AI Mirage do a gentle dive like if they use CCIP run (which is not appropriate for MK82 in the Mirage) go well within the range of the strela, igla and other shilka and of course get shot down a lot of time. So the Mirage suffer from lots of loss mainly due to close Air Defense that could be easyly avoided while still performing the mission if they use proper CCRP technique and stay outside of the range of close air defense. I'm not proficient in mission editor so I don't know if you can modify the AI logic to be sure they use the proper technique fitted for the bomb load they have and that would give them more chance to survive.

Kev It's like 100 time everyone explain you that in real life in order to be able to use NVG you need a special cockpit lighting in order to be able to read the information otherwise the lighting will be too bright and you will not be able to read your instrument So yes in reality it is not possible unless you do an important overhaul of the cockpit lighting. It is not just a matter of plugging NVG on your helmet. Hope you get it and understand why people are reluctant to have this as an option as in real life it is not possible ( just like having a MICA it is actually a good example)

  5. Is there a purpose on the recon mission ? Does protecting the recon aircraft and help it succeed in his mission have an impact on the campaign ?
  6. When I install the package I have 2 campaign folder 1 called "Desert Mirage 86" and one called "Desert Tiger 86" Is it normal ? Which one is the good one ?

  8. Hello Splash, Try it yesterday and I received the red triangle on my TAD after contacting the JTAC, so it works flawlessly for my part. For info red triangle is at the same coordonate than WP8.
  9. BIGNEWY, thanks for the update. looks like the same bug as in the mirage campaign and look like more or less the same workaround. Please see this topic https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=178955 and check the work around given in post 17. Basically it look likeit works every two mission even though it's not the same mission you are playing. Hope it can help to eradicate the bug
  10. Same issue here on mission number 1, the AI does not Taxi. I'm on 1.5 stable version.
  11. No I took off and then quit. I have the same issue another time, just reflew the mission and all went well.
  12. Try it again and I win the campaign ! (in just one mission and without to fire a single round I'm soooo good !!!) Try it again (again) and this time all went smooth I did not win the campaign and a new intercept mission has been generated. Thanks MBot.
  13. hello MBots I have an issue with this campaign, after flying first mission (ferry to tonopah airfield) I have the debriefing text that appears (no issue here) and then the windows popup, however when accepting the result of the mission here is what appears : Generating Next Mission. 04:25h passed. Next mission scheduled at: 14:04, 6.4.1976. And if I try to continue the campaign it is again the first ferry mission that is proposed. I have not had this issue with your beta version of the F5 tiger campaign.
  14. Hello MBot I also notice on the order of battle than on two red airfields the reserve status is at -2. Don't know if it is normal to have negative value.
  15. One was an airfield (I think Pahute not sure) where the F4 drop their bomb on some reandom vehicle. The other one was a EWR radar site (102 or 103 not sure) where only one F4 launch its bomb (but I don't know where, only thing I know is that it did not hit the target as stated in the debriefing) and the other 3 F4 return to the base without droping their bomb. When I'm part of a strike package my teamate in F5 are very accurate in hitting the correct target (I'm not). So if it is the bug mentioned earlier it affect only Flight package of 100% AI and does not affect the AI of my own flight.
  16. Thanks Andrei, I miss your post. Mbot maybe something to check as well, I have had 2 escort mission so far and in both case the strike package did not attack the target. They either launch their bomb on some random vehicule or completly ignore the target and return back to the base with their bomb.
  17. Hello Not sure if it is a bug or not: I was tasked with destroying an airfield (Creech airbase) which I eventually destroy at 100% as indicated in the order of battle, the airbase is at 0%. However there are still 7 Mig21 active at Creech airbase, still according to the order of battle, and when flying over Creech airbase I can see Mig21 taking off to intercept my flight. I was thinking that if an airbase is supposed to be destroy at 100% no aircraft should be able to operate from it.

  19. Reading the manual and Chuck's guide I understand that if I'm in range for an IR shoot the CU 40/42 light should go green. However in the training mission and the "easy target mission" when I'm after my target using IR weapons even though I'm in range (less than 1 Nm) the light never come. I can shoot and the missile hit sure enough but am I missing something ?

  21. Flew a few mission and love it so far but would it be possible to have more information on the target to hit ? For example I'm tasked with attacking an airfield but only 6 target are taken into account 3 fuel tank and 3 warehouse the issue is I don't have any idea of which one. So I drop my bombs on random warehouse on the airfield, destroy them but they are not taken into account to calculate the level of destruction of the airfield. Luckily my teammate knows what to hit. I don't know if it is possible to have picture of the target or more information like the warehouse at ten north of the base or something like that.

  24. It's more a generic question rather than one dedicated to the F5 but because in the training mission it is mentioned than we should uncage the heatseeker of the sidewinder before shooting in order to have a better chance to kill I was wondering how it works in real life ?
