I have an issue with the Mig29 at the very beggining. Trying to stay with the leader initialy but they engage very late with AIM9 only and because the MIGs are ignoring all aircraft but mine I consistently get shoot by one of them. I try another tactic and rush east to join the F15 and hope for protection, but the F15 are not engaging the mig they just pass by and here again the Mig ignore the F15 and focus on me. I'm not good at A/A I know it but I try it like 6 or 7 time and the outcome is always the same, I sometime shoot 1 with an amraam, two if I'm lucky but they always manage to shoot me down while my teamate are living thir best live far away from the fight (like attacking a Sam with a maverik in a middle of a dogfight or doing nothing at all like the F15). It's a bit frustrating considering its the final one of an overall great campaign. Any tips ?

Yes the Mig are coming at me. So this time I anchor north of the Beka Valley and wait for the failsafe. Around 6:24 the Mig were really close to me (visual on them) but the M2000 eventually kill them at that time and I manage to carry the mission. You might want to revisit the M2000 behaviour as it seems they are not really pushing against the Mig but somewhat wait between waypoint 8 and 9. Also for whatever reason they do not appears on the datalink at any time.

Stick full aft help a lot with effectiveness of the braking. This plus a smoother curve on my rudder solve the issue so far. thanks all for the various tips.

Yes it seems there is something broken with Mystic so we are on our own. Not sure having to wait until 6:30 is a viable option as it leave only 10 mn to push, kill and retreat before the whole package leave.

How did you manage ? I can get one with the amramm as they seems to only have short range IR missile but then I have only AIM9 and I'm fully loaded with the 4 JSOW plus 2 Bomb + the fuel tank, so no way I can dealt with the second one in a dog fight. Not sure if Woody can be of any help ?

I have an issue with this mission with the mirage 2000 doing nothing at all. Aren't they supposed to push and clean the sky? They notice the Mig29, got clearance from sentinel to engage but nothing happens. The Mig 29 eventually comes at me and shoot me. (I can shoot 1 down with the 1 amraam I have but the other one shoot me) Also the Mirage 2000 does not appears on the datalink so it is not easy to understand where they hide and how I can use them to protect me. On the debrief it is indicated they shoot the mig after I have been shooted at, looks like they magically pop up when I'm down to finally do what they are tasking for.

Hello. I just start the campaign, love it so far. I complete the first 3 mission but I'm unsure as to when I need to make first radio contact with my wingman. On the first mission it is stated to contact the leader as soon as possible so I contact him right after right engine ignition and he basically told me to meet him at first waypoint. Same for mission 2 and 3. But is it the proper time to contact them (i.e. before I set up my aircraft) or should I contact them when I finish all my prep and am ready to taxi, to avoid any Bingo issue on their side ?

Speed is depending of the loadout, but as far as I can tell I was on speed with the velocity vector in the middle of the E bracket and a more or less 3 degree descent. For reference on the VFR training mission airfield landing my speed was at 137 kts I think. For the speed brake I try both case I don't know what is the proper way (with or without speedbrake deployed)

Thanks all for the suggested tips. Anti Skid is definitly On and I do not use Hi NWS on the runway. Applying stick backward plus the tip to increase the power after wheels touch and then go to idle seems to help, I manage 2 succesfull landing but with a 10000 ft runway so I apply little break, not sure I would be that sucesfull on a short runway. I also alter my T ruder curvature to make it more like an S, and less sharp, seems to have help as well. I guess I have to practice a bit more on the breaking technique but a least on long runway it's ok now. Thanks.

I have an issue with airfield landing, my plane always end up out of the runway. Usually when the speed reach 80 kt or the like the plane goes crazy and slip right to left and I'm not able to control the bloody things. I try various method like braking a lot, or gently braking or pumping the brake but the outcome is always the same, my plane in the grass with an half wings in fire... Is there any tips to manage a proper landing ? Is it better to have stick full forward, neutral, backward ? What is the consensus on how to apply brake ? Any mysterious receipe I should be aware of ? I have a Thrustmaster T rudder hardware. Thanks for any help

Just finish the campaign and want to say a big thank you. I enjoy it very much. Nice variety of mission, good level of difficulty, well rendered atmosphere, nice work ! I did no have too much issues overall, just once on mission 12 Thanks again and very much looking forward your next campaign in the F16 over Syria

Is there a campaign that you would particularly recommend ? I'm looking for a fairly easy one that allow practicing various weapons and system.

hello. My DCS folder is installed on a SSD that is now almost full. I would like to move my DCS installation to another SSD harddrive, is there an easy way to do it (like copy paste the whole folder) or do I have to uninstall everything and re-dowload the whole thing on the new location ? Thanks for any info on the subject.

First time I play this campaign and have the same issue reported above. The special force enter the building, I hear the sound of the assault through the open mic of the assault team and then nothing happens. No more message, nothing, I wait for like 30 minutes and then decide to land back to Kutaisi and the mission is a faillure. So is it working in 2.5 ? EDIT: Flew it again and this time it works, evac choppers comes. Can't really find out what went's wrong in the first place, some kind of tricky triggers I guess.

In the readme you might want to correct the path to install the livery, you still make reference to the DCS2 Open Alpha (copy paste mistake from your read me of the nevada campaign I guess) I flew the first mission, I start the farthest away possible from the active runway and by the time I align my inertial central and taxi to active the F16 I was supposed to escort where long gone. Also two mirage from the second escort group collide on the runway and block the rest of the group. Take off with one group only, could'nt manage to rejoin on the F16 but handle the ennemy fighter while the F16 strike succesfully their target. back home with two kills and zero loss for the good guy. Nice campaign, hope the taxi issue will be only once in a while. Thanks for the work !

Can you explain the purpose of making a copy of the Mig 21 binary folder as prompted in the PDF ?

Because ED hopfully finally understand it's better to toroughly test a patch before releasing it to avoid introducing plenty of new bug, breaking module and spoiling payware campain. So guys no rush take your time.

I concur, there is not enough content to play with from a single player perspective with the Mig 21.
