I had this exact issue going from a R9 290X to a GTX980, Must be some remnants left over somewhere, to be honest id format and start afresh with this type of change, but thats just me. BTW I run a OCZ 550W PSU and have no issues at all running an overclocked system and GPU.

Did you format your PC going from the AMD to the Nvidia?

No its not, and no it doesn't! I have 6000 hours plus in FSX and its the one thing everyone moaned about, thats why everyone used REX or something similar for weather effects. This image was from smartgraf which is a partner of ED and its using EDGE, so we know DCS is capable of these effects.

So you're going to need 180fps not 75fps in CV1?! We're going to need 2 cards at least for new games.

I updated to the correct AMD VR drivers last night and lots of succesfull runs, performance remains an issue though when near ground or an airfield, i5 4690k @4.4 R9 290X 4GB 16GB DDR3 1600 SSD I also used LCTRL and Pause to check FPS and fluctuates from 100 to 150 (Thought the rift was 75 locked?, but was very juddery when not at 150), Also said VRAM useage was 4.3GB on medium settings and 4X MSAA, this is very high to me and more than the 4GB on the card.

I'll also add that it works better on a restart for me too, also agreed that its very bright for some reason.

Im running a 4790K at 4.4 and a R9 290X, I'll see if can force VSYNC off in CCC.

I need to have a good play tonight, are you using extended or Direct? Im using the 0.7 Runtime and have a good rig and struggle to get 75fps so get judders, what settings are you using in game?
