I doubt that all the ED sounds are real records. Some sounds can not be isolated and might have been "recreated". I'm not sure about this, but I would love to have an answer! ED?

Well, sometimes these sound bugs get solved by switching camera views a couple of times and then go back in to the cockpit. If that doesn't work........it doesn't work and is something we have to live with. I'm a huge fan of both LockOn and Blackshark though the sounds engine, sucks big time....(sorry ED, it just does).

Quality or reality, your choice ;) By the way, do not try this mod by listening to the sounds seperately since they are mixed up and not comparable with the standard sounds. To see the result, go in game....

You might be right about the in-cockpit sounds but certainly not about the external sounds. This is simply way off with the standard ED sounds.

:megalol: One thing for sure, you are dedicated to your simulator and everything it needs ;) Vaseline might be working better for a X52 (plastic). Best would be X52Pro (plastic&metal) + Ballistol but that doesn't matter now. Glad it worked out for you eventually. Remember though not to make it too greesy or your X52 may malfunction.

Flying gliders, I also was taught not to tilt my head. I think the reason for this would be that your hand-eye coordination changes. I got it turned off through view.lua because when you fly loops your head behaves very strange (like it thinks you are in a turn). I think for non-trackir users the head tilt can be interesting, though when you use trackir this is really pointless to have on.

It is understandable that a solo pilot does not have a logo. So that is allright. What you could do though is make a nice screenshot of your demo with some text written in to it like Deadsmells Su-27 Demo or something similar to that (what you do in the reg thread is basicly selling your demo! ;))

We know that our server working times are a problem for people in different timezones but like I mentioned, after VFAT this will change! (more in the 24-7 direction :smilewink:).

I see, well what you basicly do is editing sounds so I think everyone understands that. Thanks for the tip there though. Edit: Just found out that Audacity stands under "Digital audio editor" by wiki. Good you made me search for that, now I see many more programs to try. :thumbup:

As mentioned, get Flaming Cliffs first. Everyone is playing FC and is not compatible with the original Lock On (how to install lockon). Then, get Hyperlobby for easy game contact. We VAT Berkuts have one of the most advanced phantom servers available in the community. Check it out here. Make sure to see the server working times. This is up to now limited, though after VFAT we will increase guest time. Check VFAT out, as it is the biggest virtual airshow on the planet and a great way to discover the aerobatics community. Nevada terrain (register and login first) is a nice addon for Lockon, it would be best to install that on a second copy of your lockon though.

Indeed, very easy to use. Still though, I wish the ogg compression would be better. And Audacity sometimes crashes. I'm always on the lookout for better freeware sound editing software.

ah that is the exact sound software I use for sound file editing ;)

Can't check out the sounds in game now though I don't agree with the original "EngineTV3117In" sounds. The Battlefield FX sounds were closer (still not perfect though) to this movie. By the way, what programs do you use for sound editing?
