You can download my demo in high quality from www.digitalcombatsimulator.com. I don't have any raw video material as EvilBivol created this movie and not me. The demo was flown with and unpatched Blackshark so the track is kind of obsolete. I will fly the demo again soon to provide a track.

Headmovement off is rather a preference as a must have. What it does is keeping your head level with the horizon while in turns. Some pilots do this though I was learned never to do this because you kind of loose the contact with the aircraft. I can imagine people not having track ir like this movement, but there is not really a reason to have this movement on if you have track ir because if you wish to keep the head level with the horizon, you should use your track ir! Another good reason to put this off is if you do aerobatics the headmovement gets crazy when you make loops and such.

Stealth! :D Maybe post this at the ADA Mod Team forums? They must know a lot about this stuff.

Collective/Throttle movement reversal
Frazer replied to hollywoody's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
The very first time I opened the game options was to reverse the (hotas) throttle. -

An aerobatic movie I found flown by DaoKakao. Not that editing is anything special, but just because the great skill shown throughout the performance. Video: right click & save

Happy to have helped you improve gameplay Chibawang :) For LOMAC I have also done tweaking though LOMAC runs way faster (and that with only one core)! Most of the settings in this tweakguide have the same effect in LOMAC with the only real change that the settings in options.lua are all in the graphics.cfg.

Those tanks for sure fire their shells at you and hit if you are not moving much!

Note that this is not my video, but I had very simular responses, like HOLY#&@%)^@!$#BOOOM! :D

Never had a deadly crash????? Your name should be "uberpilot" then :smartass:

How often did you see a missile comming for you on the Shkval? I did for several times already, and every time again it scares the **** out of me :D Here is a great example: Also one time, I was spotting something I did not recognize, leaned forward to see what it was and squeezed my eyes........till I saw two missiles with big smiles on their faces, ready to shake my hand........:P

What kind of aircraft do you wan't to see next?
Frazer replied to d0ppler's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
What is holding you back from doing this with the shark? Just load her up with no weapons and 25% fuel, the shark will be very maneuverable! -
To continue on my 1 meter statement :D The ground effect helps a lot too :megalol:
-
1 meter is enough no? :music_whistling: :D:D:D Many people jump in to combat right away, I did it the other way around. The first year I only flew aerobatics with the shark and knowing the exact limits helps me a lot in combat! You might learn from studying , as you can see the flight from multiple aspects. [edit]This was flown with BS unpatched, will fly it again to provide a (working) track.[edit]

You can also turn on the pilot by default, using this "DCS Cockpit Pilot Mod" which can be found on LockOnFiles (login required, you will find the mod half way down). And I love the SharkPit, the original is good, but this mod gives that extra realism feel. Well done!!!!!!
-
I certainly need more than just rudder to change direction though ;)

That's a tight formation! Being a formation guru in the LockOn world, I found formation flying with the shark very hard. It seems easy at first, till you start turning! Much easier with a jet for sure. ;) Keep it up!

Meet you in the virtual skies of FC 2.0 then:pilotfly:;)

Thanks for the support Duke :) About "More on this later", I guess that will be in the official version ;)

Removing buildings is not that much of an issue as you think. First of all, as mission builder it would be not a good idea to hide units behind buildings because we can all see through buildings (fogparam). Actually, AI units can see through buildings as much as you can do, and in some cases even (fail to) fire through buildings. The only issue you could have is that other players might see you flying through buildings and no if you don't see a building, you will not crash, same counts for missiles on both your and AI side. Seen that I mainly removed small & very small buildings and only 2 (ugly) types of big ones (which you can also put back in if you wish) it will be very rare to encounter any problems online. Next to that, people with slower computers will often choose to "force" medium or low scenery, which have by far fewer buildings. But ofcourse, like you say yourself, you decide how far you want to go ;) Thanks for converting the Alpha Tweak to PDF by the way :)

It's a way ofcourse, but not something they will do in real life ;)

Interesting, guess it depends on what keyboard/country you are. Anyway, it usually is the key which also pauzes the game.

Little track Track IR helps a lot (I can't live without it :D) Farb_Landing.trk
-
I see that many people land with their nose streight towards the farb or landing area. Thing is though, not like many other helicopter types, you can not see a darn thing. What I do is fly towards the farb with around 25 degrees nose off to the right. Then you can look forward/down to see where you are going. Will provide a track later. btw, lmao at that picture :D
