  1. Only just installed and tried the new patch and I must say I love it!!! Thanks ED
  2. Thanks all for the nice comments! :) Hehe I didn't even notice that  Not sure if that was really the case during the airshow though. It is not rare to see nav lights off while they are really on during internet flights.
  3. Everyone is using Saitek X52/X52pro so for the TM Cougar I guess it would be best to go to the Virtual Thunderbirds.
  4. Thanks! Nice website you got there!
  5. For how long do you have your X52? If this issue is coused by long extensive usage, I advice you to buy a X52 Pro and use the Ballistol from the beginning. This way you can make your stick last for years (the oil reduces a lot of friction).
  6. @ deadsmell, I understand your issue now and it can not be fixed by any oil. You will have to open the stick and inspect closely what exactly makes the sound. Most likely it will be one of the inverted screws touching the plastic. Advice, when you open and dismantle the X52, take your time and use the best screwdrivers you got. The X52 is a tricky thing.
  7. Ah I see, well I guess opening the stick and refix some screws might solve that issue. Good luck!
  8. Me and my aerobatic squadron use Ballistol gun oil to solve this problem. I've also tried WD-40 and vaseline but didn't give the desired result. Every gun/airgun store should have Ballistol and one bottle lasts forever. Put a drop of Ballistol here and it will spread to all the places required. Depending on how much you fly this one drop will last at least 2 weeks. Note: it is adviced to clean the stick every once in a while.
  9. Video is now also avaiable at the Virtual Jabog website.
  10. My computer crawled to the corner of the room :surrender: when I was watching this but damn, this looks amazing! :shocking:
  11. Airshow one video release VAT "Berkuts" Airshow 1 @RuTube Download HQ version
  12. Thanks Conuk, I will fly a modified version of this demo at the Virtual Festival of Aerobatic Teams 2009. ;)
  13. I think a FF stick will feel more natural because this is more like reality. I use a X52Pro + Saitek Rudders though and this is ok for me. If you are going to build a pit, I advice you to make a stick with a long "arm" (long stick) aswell. With this you will get rid of the over sensitive stick feeling simply because you have a much longer range to move over.
  14. Tracks can be found in the following threads: - New Video: Frazer Demo - Flying backward indications During demonstrations I do not use any timmers. This to have reliable input results every time again. Note that this is a personal preference and most likely not done this way in reality.

  17. There is a new team in the making, reserving a place in the LockOn Aerobatic Teams list as "Virtual Russian Falcons". Founder of the team is =Predator=. More information about this team will follow.
  18. Newest reports say that #14's engines hit Tkachenko's seat making a fully successful ejection impossible. The stabilization tubes did malfunction and there was no parachute deployment. The seat is what cought fire. I was at this location during the accident. At the moment I don't have the exact location of where the two Su-27's came down but it was about 10km east from us. An update of the location will follow soon.
  19. Most likely........yes.......
  20. After hearing multiple speculations of how this accident happened we can be 95% sure the following was the case. After the final split, the leading aircraft (nr.18 ) together with slot (nr.01) flew east for rejoin and head back to Kubinka, Russian Knights home base. The left wing, Vitaly V. Melnik (nr.14, also flying east after split) was the first jet to rejoin the formation. This rejoin is what went wrong. Left wing, sliding in from a higher altitude, miscalculated the leaders airspeed and overshot the formation. During overshooting, Vitaly V. Melnik probably lost visual and hit the leading aircraft with the engines. The nose of the leading aircraft was severely damaged. The leading aircraft was a double seater. In the front seat flew Commander Igor Tkachenko and in the backseat, navigator Igor Antonovich Kurilenko. Kurilenko immediately ejected after the collision initiating both front and back seat ejection sequence. Horrifying is that Tkachenko's parachute cought fire during the eject. Though, looking closely at the pictures we can assume that Igor Tkachenko was already dead from the impact. The engines of left wing, nr.14 cought fire and Vitaly V. Melnik ejected a few moments later. Jet Nr.14 after ejection Crash site Nr.14 Crash Site Nr.18 May Igor Tkachenko rest in peace.......
  21. Just returned from what was supposed to be a wonderful day, seeing the Russian Knights final trainings for MAKS. As we all know it turned into a tragic accident. After the Russian Knights made their final split, the leader Igory Tkachenko, together with the slot Igor Shpak, made a right turn completing the loop exiting the area for the Swifts to take over. The moment the Swifts completed their first loop I noticed a small dark cloud in the air of where the two Su-27's flew away. Then I saw one of the two Su-27's in a rolling dive just above the tree line..... After moments of unbelieve my fear came true....a dark cloud appeared at the horizon... May Igory Tkachenko rest in peace....
  22. Always good to have the escape route clear no? :D
