I have just purchased FC3 and have to say I'm not enjoying the map it's currently on. The building in the hills look so out of place and I am just wondering if I can download a map from somewhere. I think someone mentioned a desert map, but I haven't been here for ages and they were talking about that back then.

I am still having problems with this radar and I am wondering if this is a bug I have? When I select my 120B missiles and hit key 2 on the keyboard to go into LRS mode, for some reason after I hit key 2 it changes my missile to Aim 9m. I then have to switch back to 120b missile by using the weapon select button. I am just wondering is meant to switch my missile back to Aim 9m when I press key 2 which is set for LRS mode? I would also like to know if this radar On/Off switch is supposed to switch on when I press it after selecting the 120 missiles? I select my 120 missiles and press the key thats suppose to switch it on, but nothing happens. Can someone please run through each key they press to go into LRS scan mode using the 120 missiles. Please explain it from the radar set to off and tell me what you do, it's the only way I am going to find out if I have a bug. I have watched the videos and what they tell me doesn't work, but I may still be missing something. Thankyou!!

Thankyou for the replies they helped me a lot. However, I cannot get my head around something. I am just thinking why you would have your radar set at 20 miles and not 160 miles all the time? With 160 miles set you would be able to see a lot more all of the time and you could lock the targets to see their range at any time. I know I am obviously missing something here so can someone correct me and explain why you would set the range shorter then 160 miles? Thanyou!!

What I want to know is when I enter (LRS) Long Range Search mode in the F15 fighter, do I first have to select Vertical Scan or Boresight mode before I select LRS mode? I ask this because when I select (LRS) on it's own I get no scanning until I have selected either Vertical scan or Boresight mode first. What I was trying to do was select my aim 120 missiles and then hit key 2 which takes me into LRS mode, but like I said there is no scan untill I select either Boresight mode or vertical scan mode first and then LRM. Also, does the Aim 120 missiles only have a range of 13 miles? Because when I do manage to lock on using the Long Range Mode it tells me to shoot at a range of 10 miles or less. I hope someone can answer these questions because I am unable to play the game untill I know the answer. Thanks

I was about to post a thread about stuttering until I saw this one. Has anyone found a solution to this yet and is there ever going to be another patch for this game?

I am not sure what I am doing here so I thought it best to ask. I have windows 7 ultimate and have Flaming cliffs 2 installed here > "C:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2.< I am now wondering though if I had installed it in >"C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2< Note not the x86 folder, if the game would make use of the extra ram? I guess what I am also asking is if this is a 32bit or 64bit software? Thankyou!!

For some reason my game has started chugging along even though it says I'm getting 60 fps. I saw that this happened to another guy and he said he turned off post effects. How do you turn these off because I don't see a setting saying post effects? Or? does he mean heat blur? I use Trackir 4 pro and when I start to look out to my left and right I see that the ground isn't moving smooth.

But why is the alert telling me to install Flaming Cliffs in a new root directory? Are you saying to just ignore this error because it has installed in the correct root directory for windows 7 ultimate? When I start Modman I get the error message again, but when I look in the options and game management controls of Modman I can see that the game path is set as this > C:\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2< Can you tell me if this is the correct path, or do I need to change it? As I said already, it does seem to have installed, but is it going to cause me problems where it is installed at the moment? Hi, Does anyone knows where I can get a night vision mod that works with the A-10. I want to fly some night missions, but it's impossible to pick out targets without night vision. Also, is this Modman thingy easy to use? Like installing and uninstalling the Mods?

I just watched a you tube video and saw a guy clicking on his cockpit controls using a mouse, I didn't know that you could do this in this sim, but then I thought I had figured it out through looking at the in game controls. I noticed that the keyboard buttons Alt + C, allowed you to look around the cockpit using a mouse with a cross on screen. I really thought if I just hovered this cross over a switch, then it would allow me to move the switch with a simple mouse click, but that didn't work. I use track ir 4 and would love to be able to alter these switched using my mouse. Can anyone tell me how to do this? Thankyou!!

I am going to get DCS A10C, but only after I have learnt somethings about the A-10A, in Lockon. Hopefully by learning about the A10A, it will give me a spring board to learning more about it in DCS. I think I would find it to difficult just to go straight to DCS at this time. On the subject of no night vision googles in Lockon, are you serious? I have cockpit lights to see inside the the cockpit at night, but I have nothing to see outside it?

I was just wondering if there is a night vision key I am missing for a night mission? I am in the A10 and would love to do a night mission, but i cannot see anything lol. How do I find my targets in pitch black?

I get a constant 60 fps on Flaming cliffs, it's no more then 60fps because I have Vsync enabled. will I get just as good on DSC A10C? My specs are below. Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X58A Usb3 Procceser: i7 950 overclocked to 40 ghz Ram: 6 Gig Kingston hyper x 1600 Mhz Geforce 460GTX

Well if you compare it with the DSC A10 cockpit it looks a bit unrealistic. The A10 cockpit in DSC looks very 3D, but the one in Flaming Cliffs looks a bit flat.

I was wondering if there is a better cockpit for the A10 in Flaming Cliffs. I am getting right into the game, but I feel the cockpit is making it feel less realistic. I just wish it had the DSC A-10 cockpit. Does anyone know if there is a different on going around? Thanks!!
