Comparing ingame RWR to 1.1 manual
Jay replied to aimmaverick's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
IMO that "13" symbol in the manual must be a typo because Strela-10 has only a ranging radar that doesn't show up on RWR. Target engagement is done using EO/IR system here. --- Well, looks like GG was faster ;-) -
This is sooo sweet m8ty! My froggie can't wait for this new paint!

Maybe MrWolf knows that - try to ask him. J.

Don't worry about being specific Tonka :D You know guys - I trained hard on the CCRP bombing procedures and I mastered it as you can see:rotflmao: And here is the debriefing log - nice isn't it? -
Wow that's nice peace of HW Fufunka - what's the make?

Hi Oldpilot, I think your setup is good and will fit your needs. I use the Sidewinder Precision 2 joy (without FF) and I'm very satisfied with this piece of HW. It doesn't require any calibration due to it's optical sensor technology and it's very solid built. I've been using it for more than 3 yrs and it looks like a new one - no wear at all and all the buttons response still perfectly. I also like a "twist" feature of the stick - it's pretty handy if you don't have a rudder pedals. So if you don't want to spend money on some new setup I think this one will work good for you. There are better sticks available of course (including HOTAS setups which are the best - no doubt about it) but more fun = more money - so decide if you want the best available HOTAS setup or if you can live with this one and spend your saved money for e.g. TIR as SuperKungFu suggested which will help you way more... As I remember vehicles always stopped in front of any bridge I've destroyed...

When I upgraded from 512 MB to 1 Gig, there was some stuttering from time to time, after upgrade to 1,5 Gig, all stuttering is over regardless of how long I play. So 1,5 Gig seems to be the threshold. Of course, there are many applications which can benefit from larger amount of RAM but for LO 1,5 Gig (or 2 Gig max.) seems to be enough.
-
Well, I'm havin' 1,5 Gig so can't vote but doesn't matter ;) BTW I think more than 2 Gig won't be such improvement regarding smoothness of gameplay than for example moving from 1 to 2 Gig or so...

Well - but this is quite normal physical law in practise - hot air is expanding thus airplane moves up with it :D

Oh man that's pretty cool - does this Su-33 have some additional nozzles built into it's gear? :D
-
Well, maybe that's not the only way but I managed that this way: I set few aircraft to land on the carrier. They landed and parked on the deck. When there were over 35 (If I remember well) planes parked and some other plane landed they all disappeared and only the one which landed last was there. And so on. Maybe this is not the only way to do this - I didn't find any other however.

Yeah, Zalmans are great, I have one on my CPU. Arctic Cooling fans are good too. Speaking of cooling - It's interesting that when they tested a Core 2 CPU they realised that the default fan's RPM were only 2400 instead of P4's 4500 RPM under load...

Conroe isn't all about two cores, but mostly about new (ok I know it's a good old pentium upgrade) platform which is way more poweful than anything available at this time. Visit some HW sites and look for tests - Conroe simply outperforms everything including the most powerful AMDs. So if you're goin' to build a brand new system, there is nothing else to think about.

Hope that most of the display pilots will have longer life than the two who crashed while doing that loop in the ending part :smilewink:

I thought it was your woodoo doll you carry when flying to eliminate your adversaries and you lost it during ejecting - or am I wrong? :D
