Ofcourse everyone would like to have an aircraft that is close to his heart because: - it flies in your country air force - yours father, uncle, grandpa or someone known flies on it - you saw it once on an airshow and you liked it very much - it was shown in some holywood movie - it's brand new digital era fighter - it has unique capabilities - you don't want an aircraft that was made in other sims despite DCS realism standard - you want to be different from ordinary average military aviation fan / you're the rebel by choice and you like to swim upstream - or any other personal reason But really only universal decision would be F/A-18C or E because: - it's in duty around the world - it's quite... handsome modern jet with AFTERBURNER :D - it has less secret tech onboard (at least C version) so it's possible to remake - it's multirole aircraft with fighter origin which means you can fly A2A as well A2G missions - it's single seater so you don't have to wait for mate's free time or depend on stupid AI to fly it properly (at least it's easier to make two-seater after all with D or F version) - desktop simulator like this can be sell to MARINES, US NAVY, Australian, Canadian, Finnish, Kuwait, Malaysian, Spanish or Swiss Air Forces (so many meals on one fire? - maybe not with C or E version) - CARRIER OPS!!! (this should be in first position) Did I miss something? Hey! Just look on poll results on the top...

Try iracing - I stop playing SIMBIN racing sims since I tried iracing. This you can call a sim - not RACE07, GTR Evo, STCC or RACE ON. Codemasters' F1 2010 is not a failure at all. It's a good game imo. I just can't stop playing it. Even yesterday I spent more time with F1 than with DCS Hog open beta - really.

Oh man! Finally we got proper "Area51" access here! I think I'll wake my wife to ask her can I spend 60 bucks on beta (despite my poor financials - I'm making over my own brand new flat). I'm sure she'll understand :D... No, really. I have to pass for a while... but I don't believe it will take more than tomorrow evening :lol:

Most likely I'll buy A10C online version just like LOFC2 for one reason - I want it ASAP after release.

Let's say this way: if game with such physics would appear in times when we played goeff crammond's gp2 (hell even gp4), we would consider this as a sim :D. Play it with AI on professional level and 20%-30% of race lenght. Try to drive realistically and it will be a blow. I just can't stop playing it... I love sims and realism but F1 2010 is mind blowing! My great G25 settings are (please try this and tell me how it feels): Logitech profiler settings: Use Special FF Device Settings - checked Overall Effects Strength - 100% Spring Effects Strength - 50% Damper Effects Strength - 25% Don't enable Centering Spring Use Special Steering Wheel Settings - checked Report Combined Pedals - unchecked Degrees Of Rotation - 300 degrees Use Special Game Settings - checked Allow Game To Adjust Settings - checked In-game Control Settings / Advanced Wheel Settings: Steering Deadzone - 0% Steering Saturation - 50% Steering Linearity - 100% Throttle Deadzone - 0% Throttle Saturation - 100% Brake Deadzone - 0% Brake Saturation - 80%

Give it a second chance mate. Have you got a wheel? I can give you good settings. Don't take it as a sim. It's a well made arcade - you can feel some tiny or stronger differents between tires, fuel load, cars, ugrades, setups not mention about wheater. How many arcades have such features? But you got to have proper ff wheel like dfp, g25 or such as and look at it from different angle. It's miles better than GRID imo. Still can't wait for iracing's williams f1 fw31... :joystick:

Hold on, you're not alone here. I am a huge racing fan. I'm not thinking about F1 as a pure sport - it's more like companies competition in technology developement. I love those politics, scandals, etc. I don't like rally at all - it seems completely boring imho. It's ripped off of this whole climate which is most important to me. So, we're split into different groups here - F1 to rally is like comparing A2A with A2G...

Honestly, hardly to believe. DNF (unfortunate shortcut - "Did Not Finish" in racing language IIRC :)) is given to another studio and they are working on it as we speak (I read it somewhere). What is going on with FO is a mystery...

Nice job with Nellis AFB. However, aren't the taxiway marks too wide? They should be thin a half of their present dimmension. Look at the photo (markings are about same wide of a gear tire):

Did ED work with TM on Warthog HOTAS? I read somewhere they worked with CH on their professional HOTAS with purpose on military market - not commercial. I might be wrong...
