  1. It's not a game - it's a simulator :D
  2. I am very excited with new sourround sound system coming up. Will it be a big difference?
  3. Can you post a track?
  4. Devs have found a way. They keep us posted. We know how things progress. And seriously, IIRC I have never seen so important and rich patches to be released with such high frequency. They are really on a track .
  5. No matter how hard you try sometime it's not enough. We are gonna get some pretty nice features in next patch. Obviously it's worth waiting. Ofcourse I would like to have it already but if it shouldn't be relased we can do nothing about it... Well, you ED Team are the professionals. I believe there was no other clever decision to be made than delay the release. I'm very satisfied with quality of Hog right now so there won't be any thunder thrown by me :D We're waiting "patiently" ;). Keep polishing this diamond.
  6. I can't write. My hands are shaking :D No really, I use ol' pen and paper right now and it's not too comfortable - that's my point. I got no room to use it. If some data shows up after trigger i start quickly to look for: 1. Notebook 2. Pen 3. And then make a place on a desk where I can write the info down to notebook - this is usually tight area where I'm moving wired mouse. So just after writing it down I have to move my notebook again somewhere else. I know - I'm lazy but time is important in mp mission where you can not pause. Please don't mention about kneepad notebook - I already look like a dork with my headphones and track clip pro on my head... All in almost complete dark (I got lite-up g15 keyboard only). How easy would it be with simple shortcut opening the window to note like in chat? It could also autocopy trigger info with a timeline. I think mainly of such purpose. You got my point? :) Hope there are people with similar problem, hehe.
  7. With 1.0.0.8 patch for DCS Warthog we will get brief and debrief window and ability to open it in flight. That's great news. I don't know how it will work but it gave me an idea of implementing another usefull window like private notebook - something like chat but with info written only for me and by me. It could be some coords given via radio, some frequencies wich are not posted in brief but copied from CDU DIVERT page or any else data. It would be great to have that window moveable (like in FSX). Is it possible?
  8. Did I mention rudder pedals? :D
  9. Most of us think same way now :D. NOE is good to escape only if you have where to hide close.
  10. I got similar problem with my g25 pedals which are used as rudder. I have to keep pumping the pedal while turning to not suddenly center the rudder i.e. in tight taxiway turn. Trim problem? Try turning off Force Feedback in options.
  11. Time to master A-10 depends on couple things: 1. your previous history with other simulators (helps a lot with vocabulary, how works simplified avionic, etc.); 2. your knowledge about real flying physics (on a paper) and physics overall; 3. how much time per day you can spend on reading the manual and practice; 4. what kind of learning approach you take (signing up for virtual career in some squad / alone methodical way in cooperating with manual and tutorial videos / or trying shooting around on mp training servers and asking people every single detail); 5. How headstrong, hard-bitten you are and keep clean head with "spare capapicity". If "the bucket is full" you won't be able to calculate, simulate so many things and working with instruments in the same time. You need to take pleasure from that and keep trying achieve excellence. Me? I'll be honest - with history older than 15 years of gaming and simflying, with some basic knowledge of RL physics, spending around 5 hours per week on reading manual and watching tutorial videos, then 30 hours per week on flying practice, I was able to reach comfortable level in about a month. Still a lot to learn after so many months behind the day one of open beta release though.
  12. So simple :). Whatever one you'll choose after all you end up with both - I'm sure ;).
  13. It would be a good idea to see a ground crew guiding to a proper parking slot on a ramp. It can be even more useful in future - maybe for carrier ops (?).
  14. Woooohooo!!! :pilotfly: Can't wait
  15. I'm speechless Sabre! Wonderfull hard work you've put in it. And I must say you're harsh for students but that's good. ;) I passed BFT01 yesterday with almost no prob - I had to repeat 'cuz I didn't turn on pitot heat at the first time. Man, you have to be quick. Now, I'm on BFT02 with problem between WPT02 - WPT03. I don't do anything wrong when I turn right 060 (standard bank 30 degrees) keeping 220 kts at angles 6. But I come slightly left from my waypoint 3 and since then and before I don't get any radio message from my FE. When I tried to turn right tighter (more than 45 degrees bank) I get "terminate, terminate, you broke your altitude" or something like that message even if I still keep 6000 feet. What's wrong?
  16. Probably. But the message is clear - no one will live free who messed up global order.
  17. :) I feel like I know what it's all about. Maybe I'll try to ask straightforward. Does ED Team plan to abandon support for 32bit OS? Does it become to generate problems i.e. like with memory management?
  18. 7 x64
  19. Agree. We are spoiled. There's a nice progress with every patch
  20. +1 to first and second post on a top :D. I must add I love sound delay effect. First I see a bang on the ground then comes a sound. I like that. It adds 3D immersion.
  21. Fantastic classics Mushu! Well done!
