I remember having an issue upgrading bs1 to bs2 and bought bs2 outright to avoid the hassle but it never told me to install bs1 when I did that... are you sure its completely uninstalled??

Call me ungrateful but I am not looking forward to ANOTHER scout/transport helicopter. Sure we have the Mi-24 coming, and once its here we will have two "attack" helicopters. The KA-50 is an anti-tank helicopter and it could be argued that the Mi-8 is one as well to an extent but its more of a troop transport with weapons. I feel like its more capable than the UH-1 in that respect, but I have a lot more fun flying the UH-1. Anyways - we will have the BO, Gazelle, UH-1, and Mi-8 and still have zero western 'gunship style attack' helicopters. Yeah the BO and Gazelle mount ATGMs but its very limited and the OH-58 will be as well. Growing up I logged a LOT of time in Gunship 2000 and Longbow 2 and maybe its just me but I am DYING for an AH-1 Cobra to fly. Hell Id settle for the Tiger or the T129. Although my opinion doesnt matter much since they posted they already have the module's 3D model finished..

I appreciate all the replies, I do have Chuck's pdf for the F-5E along with a few others but I have been short on free time for much. I was able to learn just enough on the F-5 before work got insane and I picked up some more practice here and there. The one thing I knew to work on was my terrible bombing accuracy outside of the training flight. Apparently I need to rehash some of the other trainings again soon.

Youre right! so even though I was spinning that gunsight mode switch it didnt matter since I still was in that mode with the radar? I forgot all about that.. Thank you for finding out what I did wrong.

Can you explain this a bit more? Do you mean move the stick and throttle when I start a normal mission or when I load a track file? Everything was fine in the mission till I landed and rearmed.. and then in the track file the AI went all wonky and it shows me plowing into the dirt off a taxiway.

Good to know that a very useful feature is severely bugged :(. The only damage I could have encountered was my hard landing, but I did notice when I changed the depression on the gunsight it didnt move down in manual mode compared to missile mode even though I had -80 mils dialed into it for the bombs.

Weird... I wonder why it shows me taxiing into the dirt where I rearmed and took off into a hangar?? LOL. None of those things happened either. Was it because I was fast forwarding?

The track file I just recorded of me shooting down two MiG-21s then landing and rearming to attack two ships in the Ships mission is nothing like what happened when I recorded the track. What the hell?? Also rearming caused me to not be able to chagne the depression of my gun sight leading me to believe that the gun sight was stuck in guns aa1 mode. I wasnt able to drop any ordance but I was able to jettison them okay. Yes I cycled the gun sight and was not on safe and I didnt have the weapons system in jettison mode - I cycled in and out of it as I jettisoned ordance. Forget it. I just watched the track file, and it was nothing like the mission I just played. In this alternate reality I fired aim-9s at nothing and was in a dog fight with no one even though I splashed both MiGs. Then I landed and taxied into a building after running into the dirt. None of those things happened. What in the actual ***k.

I can say with 100% certainty I wasnt in missile mode but was in manual mode. However it wouldnt allow me to change the depression at all after I rearmed.

Jettison was in neutral (central position) I tried dropping bombs and firing rockets in every gunsight mode... off, missile, guns 1, guns 2 and manual mode. I was able to fire my aim-9s and I jettisoned my rocket pods so those functions worked. Every time I pressed the release button on my HOTAS I watched the stick in game and saw the button depress on it at the same time. Is there another way I can upload the track?

Is this a bug or did I do something wrong? I loaded up the ships mission and killed both MiGs (I finally managed to not die while air to air... I paused a lot trying to find the AIs and found that to be just as hard as finding them while flying lol). Since I jettisoned my weapons prior to the a2a engagement I went to rearm and came back for the ships only to find that I couldnt drop any bombs or fire any rockets. Also my aiming sight wouldnt move up or down in manual mode. I feel like it was a bug but am asking just in case. Thank you! Maybe now I can actually learn how to fly the different modules I have... since Tutorials are so severly bugged and just stop in the middle of every lesson I try (bs2, a10c have issues where the training never progresses.. maybe its just me).

Same thing happening to me... The AGM-65 training file wouldnt continue for me either once I was airborne. I ended up taking off at some point and after a good few minutes the training caught up and then froze again.

Yep I decided to just buy BS2 yesterday.. now the modding begins!

You still have to have the mods with the correct file structure.. Which apparently changed at some point recently.

With the latest update to DCS World should the "resources" folder be changed to "textures" or "indicationtextures" or stay as "resources"? Thanks

Yeah I can see this becoming a major PITA down the line if I was even able to install this. I may just buy the module then while its on sale today or just wait for the next super sale. Everyone here has been 500000x's more helpful than "support". I appreciate it!

Their support person should have brought this up.. BS2 doesnt show up as something Ive purchased but then why did it let me install it before? Or are all the modules like this? I just cant install it now since DCS world has updated recently.

Im either SOL and have to buy standalone BS2 and forgo the fact that I OWN BS1 and the upgrade to BS2 or wait for this upgrade to <<hopefully>> get released. BS2 is on sale, however I do not have the funds to buy this nor do I feel like I should. The response in the ticket I filed, said to reinstall and make sure I activate BS1 prior to upgrading. They never said that I would have to buy anything..

The upgrade? That doesnt sound right.. I purchased BS1 and never bought BS2 yet there is an upgrade out for BS1 to BS2 yet there is no way to pay for it. I can only buy BS2 outright. I cannot pay for the update.

I never got a BS2 upgrade key... was the upgrade from BS1 to BS2 free or had to be purchased? Also I reinstalled BS1 just now and I am not seeing how to activate the game with my existing key... edit: Just found the application titled "protect" which I ran and it said the product was already active and asked me to activate it again anyways which I did do.. ill try this "upgrade" again.
