The problem with saying I saw this, or I saw that, is that unless you were the one firing the round you have no idea who manufactured the ammunition creating the tracer. Yeah you may have seen an AK firing tracers in Iraq or Afghanistan but who made that ammo? Russian and Chinese ammo may in fact have green tracers, but the ammo being fired in Iraq may have been made there, or in Syria, or in Pakistan. Who knows?

I have had a MAV lock on a building while I was trying to lock up a tank.

Back in the 80s when I was trained as a 19D (Cav Scout) individual riflemen were, in fact, taught how to lead an oncoming plane. I wish I still had my soldiers manual cause there was even a drawing (we're cav scouts after all) :lol: We were trained to aim right above the canopy for an inbound plane on a strafing run.

Man there's way too much information about the various "points" and "Hooking" to be delivered in a single post. My recommendation if you're a visual learner is to watch the video I'll link at the bottom of this post. This is not a short video, it's about 40 minutes long but it is jam packed with all the information your asking about. So get yourself a beer and chill in front of the screen for a while. The hooking information starts at about 23:20 but you'll need to watch the whole video as the concepts build on each other. Have fun.

Had the same issue. Had to delete some files but not as many as the above poster did. In the WCSworld folder find the A10C folder, it's in a sub-directory can't remember which. Delete the A10C folder. Re-download the A10C module for World and re-install, it will ask you to re-active, do it. This should solve your issue.

The Hellfire is not a wire guided missile. You might be thinking of the TOW missile. The TOW is command guided via a wire hence the name TOW - Tube-launched Optically-tracked Wire-guided. It was typically fired off the AH1 series of helos but now it's used by us Scouts typically mounted on HUMVEEs and Bradleys. And it's not TV guided, which is what the thread refers to.

Hundreds? I bought a new Thrustmaster warthog HOTAS, three new 21 inch monitors, 2 eight inch usb monitors, two Thrustmaster MFCD controllers, and a second video card. I have at least a thousand dollars invested in this sim and can't fly on line because of this issue. I can't even put a price on how much time I have spent learning systems, printing manuals, doing training flights. I actually recommended this thing to a friend a week ago, I am very sorry I did that. I am beyond fed up. ED better say somting soon 'cause this is getting real old, real quick.

This is completely unacceptable. Because of this issue I can not fly with my squad tonight. Every single time I try to connect to a server BAM! Connection Interrupted. Every single time. Tried all the things offered in this thread. Changed connection speed, deleted temp files. Nothing works. Rant on: I am tired of developers using the general community as beta testers. From what I have read, and what I have heard from the folks who tested this release, this was a known issue well before release. If that were not bad enough we have heard nothing NOTHING! from ED on this issue save for them saying "it's not on their end". How do they think that makes all of the people with this issue feel? It's absurd. Now I'll give credit where it's due, and this is one of the best simulations ever made for the general public. Unfortunately a major portion of it is just flat out broken. Rant off

Why was this moved? I don't have this issue in the stand alone version, I have this issue in The world version.

Okay I must be an idiot. But in World I don't get the Beeeeeeeep and Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep when I am pulling a lot of Gs in a turn. Is this a new feature? Is there some knob I need to adjust? When I try to adjust the knobs on the back left panel which used to control the volume of these indicators in the stand alone version they no longer turn. I figure I must be missing a master switch somewhere.

I have been looking for some good single player missions but end up downloading a MP mission. I have been though at least ten pages in this Missions and Campaigns forum and have yet to see any rhyme or reason as to the thread titles. Would it possible to make a unofficial rule that says we should put MP, or SP, or MP/SP in the thread title? I know it probably seems like I am just bitching but it would make a world of difference.

Okay here's what I want to do. I have my MFDs set up on a separate monitor and don't really need them running on the cockpit view monitor. Is there a way to tell the sim to stop displaying MFD data on the "in cockpit" MFDs while keeping the data displayed on the separate monitor? I know it's nit picking but I find them distracting being duplicated in the cockpit.

At one point I saw someone had a chart that showed all the commands generated by the HOTAS warthog depending what master mode you were in but I can't find it now. Anyone know where I might find that?

I haven't gotten around to trying this yet, will probably today but the question is will they move in the same formation as the template or will they go single file once they start moving?

I agree with everything you just said, I have a scenario right now with about 200 inf and it's a friggin circus watching these guys. A platoon worth of guys marching single file to their deaths, its madness I tell ya. there should be a advanced waypoint command for Inf Formations like there is for helos at least.
