  1. Time acceleration - speed up time - fast forward - I am running a track on my sim PC right now, and that's where my manual is so I can't stop right now and look it up. What are the key controls for manipulating time while viewing a track?
  2. <--- First hand experience with sites like these. Two years ago I wanted to buy our 8 year old an IPod Nano cause that's what she was asking for for Christmas. Found one on Google shopping listed for 50 dollars. I figured Google is reputable so they must vet their sellers right? Nope turns out it was a Chinese guy who, when I emailed him said, "sorry to be you". Google refunded my money but if you can get scammed off Google shopping by the Chinese I would run faster then a stabbed rat from a Chinese website selling stuff. Just an FYI.
  3. Thanks for the replies. Yeah I found the switch last night I must have been panicking when I first looked at that panel cause I don't know how you would miss that switch.
  4. In fact I was looking for a cross feed switch and I looked on the fuel panel but didn't see one. Can you be more specific on the procedure?
  5. Is there anyway to transfer fuel from the right internal tank to the left internal tank? Friggin right eng got shot to shit and now I am running out of fuel in the left eng trying to RTB. Right tank has a crap load of fuel in it but I can't figure out how to get that fuel to the left tank.:helpsmilie::helpsmilie::helpsmilie:
  6. Wow I would have to say don't even try to play without a stick of some sort. Even with a HOTAS the learning curve is so steep that it can frustrate the most experienced simmers. But hey to each their own, if you want to give it a whirl, who am I to say no?
  7. I just waxed my desk so they do slide a bit but button presses don't require a lot of pressure so it's minimal slide. Plus you probably haven't waxed your desk lately. They have rubber feet. Oh and as stated in the previous post they come with solid supports for standing them up like that.
  8. My MFD Cougar Two Pack arrived today. Multi Monitor FTW! OMG! Spooge! Tomorrow I mount them on the screen so the video shows thru the bezel and all the buttons line up! But for now they still work but it's strange to look at the screen but reach for the button lower down. What I love most about these is that I didn't have to do anything other then plug them in. After I plugged them in I went into the sim and hit the control tab to set them up and HEY WTF? The sim had already set all the OSB buttons to their correct place. Talk about plug and play . . . Very nice ED and Thrustmaster.
  9. Man you know I used to fly that "F" game and when I was flying falcon 4 I used to curse every-time I had to take my eyes off the HUD to work in the cockpit. I also wanted to fly my favorite aircraft . . . the hog. Now I have the best of both worlds! Next step . . . build a home cockpit. Oh and where do I find a UFC I can buy?

  11. Does anyone know the pixel dimension of the ThrustMaster MFD controllers, inside the bezel? I just got my set today and was hoping someone already knew so I wouldn't have to dick around with my .lua file too much. Oh and Tommy thanks for initial guide, I am guessing we can't give rep cause the thread is stickied?

    EPPU?

I don't know, I have asked for BDA before, but they never got back to me.

    EPPU?

BDA stands for Bomb or Battle Damage Assessment.
  14. I always fly with the 104th paint cause I am from Maryland and all. Just noticed the Baltimore Ravens Logo on the front of the aircraft as well as inside the boarding ladder door.! Awesome job ED!
  15. Wow what a thread! Got my multi-monitor up and running off reading the first post, but came back to read the rest of the thread just to see if there were any tips and tricks I could use. Knew I should have stopped at page one since I have now dropped 100 dollars on TM MFD controllers LOL My wife said "well you might as well just build a cockpit". Holy crap! Is that permission? I heard that as permission!:pilotfly: I tried to give rep to the original poster but it said I could not give rep to his post. What gives?
  16. Oh I'm sure the toggle modifier will work but it's just as easy to use the rubber band.:smilewink:
  17. I'll give that a shot. Thanks!
  18. Anyone have a procedure? I can't find in the XLS key file the keys to change between Bhot and Whot. How do I slave the mav seeker to the TGP?
  19. One thing about using trim and auto pilot to get the aircraft strait and level, that I didn't see in this thread. Dead-zones dead-zones dead-zones. Most sticks out of the box have no dead-zones set and as a result trying to fly this Hog is damn near impossiable. You'll be over correcting left and right, and up and down all the time, trying to line up the gun will be impossible. Try setting a small dead-zone in the stick and see if that helps in the control-ability area.

    Hello all

I have made a few posts here but after reading Ice's tread I suppose I should introduce myself. First off I am 42 years old now and started gaming on a TSR-80 with a cassette deck as the hard drive. Never been an FPSer I generally hate those games, especially when played on-line. It's always been about the simulation for me. Played F19 Stealth Fighter, MS Flight Sim the first version LOL, Comanche, Warbirds, Aces High, Jane's Longbow, Jane's F15, Falcon 4 and all of it's derivatives, WWII On-Line, Jane's Super Hornet, still fly FSX, and now this baby is my new obsession. I fully expect to be part of a virtual fighter wing before the year is out. On a personal note I hold a degrees in forensic anthropology, and colonial archaeology. I am also a veteran, spent eight years with the 101st Airborne Division as a Cavalry Scout. Really looking forward to getting to know all you guys!
  21. Very easy solution if you are flying with the Cougar. Map the wheel brake to the pinkie flapper switch then all I did was put a rubber band around the bottom of the stick (get your heads out of the gutter) . While I am running through the start up I use the rubber band to hold down the flapper switch. When ready to taxi I simply roll it off with my pinkie and never touch it again.
  22. Humm ground crew. I asked them to rearm me and the stuck 6 mavs on like I asked but I didn't see any way to do a mixed load Mavs and CBUs. Thanks for the answer though it helped.
  23. Is it possible in the campaigns to change the load out of your plane? Why am I only carrying 4 Mavs and nothing else?
  24. So I get everything fired up and all systems are go. Taxi out, so proud I finally got this thing working the way it should. Power up ... rotate BANG! My 11 year old daughter who was watching me fly said "What was that?" I said "Oh hell I don't know, but that was probably not a good noise." Everything is still working no indication on the idiot panel master caution is not screaming and my Mavs have aligned so I guess we're good. Get about half way to the IP and I start thinking to myself, man it sure is noisy. Look around the cockpit hey WTF where's my canopy? Hit F2 sure enough no canopy. Guess I must have skipped that part of the checklist. Daughter says "Well that was dumb daddy". Thanks sweety I love you too. Ug tenth time will be the charm, I just know it.
  25. Yeah well just goes to show you shouldn't fly while drunk. Or ask for advice. :joystick: Any way it all worked out.
