  1. Yap. I always re-boot after any updates, which isn't probably necessary these days, but I do it anyway. Did various things. Updated the TrIR software, software installation hung halfway through, installed some 'usb x64 drivers' that I'd never seen before, uninstalled them, in desperation did a system restore, installed all latest windows updates, then uninstalled them, then did another system restore to an earlier time, then posted here in a pure fit of pique. How could an update to DCS world affect my stand alone install of A-10C??
  2. Does our mate WAGS mean 'Critical Issues'? If he does, I'll add a new one. Since the 'update', my TrackIR doesn't work in DCS World. Or, strangely, in my stand alone installation of A-10C. It works fine in Rise of Flight, Cliffs of Dover, old IL2 1946. But it does not work with the most expensive flight sim I pay my hard earned cash for. An explanation would be nice, although I appreciate it may not be the fault of anyone at Eagle Dynamics. Bit of a co-incidence though, don't you think??
  3. Mission loading takes twice as long as before. Had the game collapse to the taskbar twice, and a crash to desktop once, before even starting a mission. When I did get a mission started, I found that my TrackIR 4 does not function with this 1.2.5 update. I restarted the game three times and restarted the computer once in an attempt to check it wasn't something at my end. I gave up trying then, so haven't managed to come across any other bugs yet. :(
  4. So should I update DCS World now, or wait for the re-issue?
  5. No El, you're a P-40 kinda guy, who also likes to move mud on occasions. Ah, so nice to see an immediate gathering of the old clan.........
  6. Best Flight Sim news I've heard in a long, long time. What a fantastic union.
  7. Same problems here, so I'm sticking with my A-10 installation for now rather than 'World', simply because I'm a new bloke and need the reassurance of the instructor! :pilotfly:
  8. Is it possible to transfer my existing controls input file from my DCS A-10C install to my new DCS World A-10 install? If so, where is the file in the A-10C install, and where does it go in the DCS World install? I tried searching for this but drew a blank - apologies. :) (with all the modifiers I use on my G940, it'll take about a week to input manually!:P)
  9. Wow, that was quick. Thanks folks, should be up and running soon then. Thing is, just where do I input my existing keycode for my A-10 into 'World'? Sorry if I'm being obtuse here. :helpsmilie: Edit: Got it now, downloading via torrent as we speak. Thanks for your help fellas.
  10. Okey doke, this is where I look daft. I already owned DCS A-10, but only started to learn the ropes this week, and so downloaded DCS World. So how do I go about getting my A-10 into 'World'? The only option I can see is to buy it again. What do I do? A step by step guide for a 'totally new and unfamiliar to the game series type chap' is what I need please. Many thanks. :music_whistling:
  11. Thanks all! Will see you online in a few weeks, once I know what I'm doing! Cheers!
  12. Ahah! Thanks Smokey. Credits says 1.1.0.7
  13. I haven't noticed any cockpit shadows but then I've probably been too busy grappling with the beast to notice! Will check but thanks blue!
  14. Hello Folks! After a good few years on IL2, FSX and RoF, here I am with a new challenge. Awesome isn't it?! However, I'm a bit confused with the version number on my hard disc copy, and I'm not sure if I need to patch it. When the small intro screen appears, it says version 1.1.0, but there are downloads for .06, .07 and the latest downloadable version is 1.1.08. Can anyone clarify please? Thanks in advance.:)
